Bank of Kathmandu Limited Nepali: बैंक अफ काठमाडौं लिमिटेड Baiṃk Aph Kāṭhamāḍauṃ Limiţēḍ is formed following the merger of Bank of Kathmandu (BOK) and Lumbini Bank,[1] has become a prominent name in the Nepalese banking sector. BOK started its operation in March 1995 with the objective to stimulate the Nepalese economy and take it to newer heights.[2][3][4] BOK also aims to facilitate the nation’s economy and to become more competitive globally. BOK has today become a landmark in the Nepalese banking sector by being among the few commercial bank which is entirely managed by Nepalese professionals and owned by the general public.
