12 is the natural number following 11 and preceding 13. The product of the first three factorials, twelve is a highly composite number, divisible by 2,3,4. It is central to systems of counting, including the Western calendar and units of time. The word twelve is the largest number with a name in English. Such uses gradually disappeared with the introduction of Arabic numerals during the 12th-century Renaissance and it derives from the Old English twelf and tuelf, first attested in the 10th-century Lindisfarne Gospels Book of John. It has cognates in every Germanic language, whose Proto-Germanic ancestor has been reconstructed as *twaliƀi, from *twa and suffix *-lif- or *-liƀ- of uncertain meaning. The Lithuanian suffix is also considered to share a similar development, the suffix *-lif- has also been connected with reconstructions of the Proto-Germanic for ten. Twelve is a 2010 American-French action drama teen film directed by Joel Schumacher. The film was written by Jordan Melamed, adapted from Nick McDonells novel of the same name, the film opens during Spring Break on the Upper East Side. White Mike, once a wealthy, carefree teenager, now struggles to scrape out a living as a pot dealer, dealing to his former classmates. His mother died from breast cancer a year prior to the events of the film, her treatment having completely consumed his familys wealth, Mikes good friend, Molly Norton, a sweet girl from the poorer side of town, doesnt know he is a drug dealer. Mikes supplier, Lionel, also deals the addictive drug cocktail Twelve to Mikes cousin, Charlie attempts to mug Lionel one night, as he is unable to pay for the drug. Lionel turns the gun on Charlie, shooting him at point blank range, before finding and executing Nana and he visits Harlem regularly because he detests the high society of his classmates. The party is held at the home of Yvette Vasquez and Chris Kenton, a nerd, but the host of the party. At the party, Saras friend Jessica Brayson tries Twelve for the first time, during the party, Chriss older brother, Claude, a sociopath and weapon collector, returns home after breaking out of rehab, much to the dismay of their mother. She realizes he is there while Chris is videoconferencing with her, Chris tries to mediate and asks her to talk with Claude. She says she will speak to him but disconnects—with a swallow of pills—when Chris leaves the room and she and her friends Shelly and Gabby spend the next few days inviting everyone they know in order to make Saras birthday famous. Meanwhile, Jessica has run out of money as well as Twelve, Tobias accidentally meets Molly during a drug deal with Mike, and invites her to Saras party. Mike sees him from across the street and phones him to pick up the weed he had wanted, with Tobias gone, Mike meets with Molly, where she tells him about the male model who she allowed to flatter her and who also invited her to a party tonight. They relax over hot chocolate until she suggests visiting him at his job that evening, Mike closes up, Molly is disappointed and decides to go to the party Tobias invited her to. As the party begins, Claude locks himself in his room, practicing with his weapons, Tobias disappears into one bedroom with a girl. Lionel arrives, but is infuriated that Jessica does not have the money she promised, since she has no money, she first offers him a blowjob, to which he responds that it must be one expensive blowjob. Tearfully, she offers to have sex with him, revealing furthermore that she is a virgin, Lionel agrees and they head inside. Tobias heads back into a bedroom with a different girl, Mikes father calls him to deliver the news that Charlie is dead, his body finally having been identified. Mikhalkov was awarded the Special Lion at the 64th Venice International Film Festival for his work on the film and it is an adaptation of Reginald Roses play Twelve Angry Men and a remake of Sidney Lumets film 12 Angry Men. The jury decides whether a young Chechen boy is guilty of the murder of his stepfather, initially it seems that the boy was the murderer. However, one of the votes in favour of acquittal. Since the verdict must be rendered unanimously, the review the case. The murder was performed by criminals involved in the construction business, the discussion is repeatedly interrupted by flashbacks from the boys wartime childhood. 12 is an independent feature film written, directed, edited and produced over the course of 10 years by filmmaker Lawrence Bridges. Considered the longest continuous production in history,12 is also the first film to use the aging of its actors as a practical effect. The film received acclaim from such publications as Variety, Shoot. Meanwhile, the U. S. government wants to turn their land into a national park, by such means, as the plays plot unfolds, the children are guaranteed new, credible lives. But if they fail to perform the play to its conclusion, or if they rebel, the mere existence of these illegitimate children are an outrage to her, representing Zeus countless infidelities. The director used more than 500,000 feet of film, shot over the course of a decade, Bridges filmed 12 whenever the actors were available and never imposed a deadline on the project. Bridges explained, My camera was always loaded and the charged and often it traveled with me in my car to. When there was a disaster, I was always ready to document it, in a rare twist of fate, nearly all of the original actors cast participated in the entire shoot, despite some road blocks along the way. While on a commercial shoot in Minneapolis, Allen Lulu suffered a heart attack caused by Phen-Phen. Additionally, Golde Starger was diagnosed cancer in the middle of the shoot. There were divorces and there were babies born, I guess when you look at all the things that could have gone wrong and didnt, Im a very lucky man, Bridges told Indie Slate. Additionally, Bridges adopted a flexible mentality in regards to continuity, as the actors aged and evolved, the one factor that remained semi-constant was wardrobe. For example, Griffin, who played Filmore, wore the same suite for 10 years, dramatic hair and weight change was even accounted for in the storyline. The film was shot on 35mm Kodak short ends using Arri cameras, the short ends were stock test samples from 1989-1999. The production used minimal on-set lighting, mostly opting for available light, the camera dolly used throughout the production of the film was actually a homemade dolly that Bridges converted from a baby stroller. 12 explores a variety of themes and attitudes that relate to a perspective on Greek mythology set within modern day Los Angeles. Insane Clown Posse is an American hip hop duo composed of Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope. Founded in Detroit in 1989, Insane Clown Posse performs a style of hip hop known as horrorcore and is known for its elaborate live performances. The duo has earned two platinum and five gold albums, according to Nielsen SoundScan, the entire catalog of the group has sold 6.5 million units in the United States and Canada as of April 2007. Originally known as JJ Boyz and Inner City Posse, the group introduced supernatural-, the duo founded the independent record label Psychopathic Records with Alex Abbiss as manager, and produced and starred in the feature films Big Money Hustlas and Big Money Rustlas. They formed their own wrestling federation, Juggalo Championship Wrestling. The group has established a following called Juggalos numbering in the tens of thousands. The songs of Insane Clown Posse center thematically on the mythology of the Dark Carnival, the Dark Carnival is elaborated through a series of stories called Jokers Cards, each of which offers a specific lesson designed to change the evil ways of listeners before the end consumes us all. The original lineup of Insane Clown Posse was John Rode, John Utsler, Joe Bruce, John Rode left after Dog Beats was released in 1991, and John Utsler left before Carnival of Carnage was released in 1992. Joseph Bruce and Joseph Utsler met in Oak Park, a suburb on the border of Detroit. Along with Utslers brother, John, and friend, Lacy and they also listened to hip hop music, including 3rd Bass, Beastie Boys, N. W. A and local rappers like Awesome Dre. Poverty and a home life drove Bruce to move in with Rudy The Rude Boy Hill in River Rouge. Bruce was jailed for ninety days in 1989–1990 for death threats, robbery, and violating probation, this experience convinced him to reduce his involvement in gang life. Bruce began his wrestling career after getting out of jail. During this time Bruce brought Utsler backstage with him, and all four became close friends, Bruce became frustrated with the backstage politics of the wrestling business and began searching for another career. Seeing a need for a manager, Bruces brother Robert recommended his friend and record store owner Alex Abbiss, later that year the group released the self-produced EP entitled Dog Beats. Local radio broadcasters were reluctant to play the EPs single, Dog Beats, Bruce met Esham for the first time at the station and praised him. Esham wished Bruce well and Bruce gave the rapper a copy of Dog Beats, growing popularity in the local music scene turned negative for the groups gang, which became the target of growing violence. Riddle Box is the third studio album by Insane Clown Posse, released on October 10,1995 on Battery Records in association with Psychopathic Records. It is the card in the Jokers Card in the groups Dark Carnival mythology. Legz997 it was released a 2nd time by Battery Records and Jive Records, in 2008 it was re-released on a Riddle Box vinyl record. It was released in four different versions, and earned a certification by the Recording Industry Association of America. In 2008, Riddle Box was re-released on vinyl double LP format and it is the groups 7th overall release. In 2015, it was announced that Psychopathic would reissue the album in a 20th anniversary edition, in 1995, Insane Clown Posse signed a contract with the short-lived Jive Records subsidiary label Battery Records. Anticipating the album to be their first national release, the duo work on Riddle Box. Member Joseph Bruce recalled thinking that working on the album would be all the records we had done … rolled into one single effort, Recording for Riddle Box occurred in producer Mike E. Clark’s personal studio. The group was looking to make the more theatrical, so Clark introduced them to local guitarist and vocalist Rich Murrell. Originally a member of the group Coup Detroit, Murrell later left his band to join Insane Clown Posse’s studio band along with Clark, Murrell contributed to the album through guitar and various vocals in songs and skits. Jive Records Senior Vice President of Artists and repertoire, Jeff Fenster, had told Insane Clown Posse that Riddle Box couldn’t be over one hour long, when the group turned in the album at 70 minutes and 40 seconds long, Fenster was furious. Joseph Bruce told Fenster that the album featured skits. Riddle Box is the third Jokers Card in Insane Clown Posses Dark Carnival concept album series, the Dark Carnival is a concept of the afterlife in which souls are sent to a form of limbo while waiting to be sent to heaven or hell based on their individual actions. These concepts are related by Insane Clown Posse in a series of albums called the six Jokers Cards. Each of the six Jokers Cards relate to a specific character — an entity of the Dark Carnival — that tries to save the soul by showing the wicked inside of ones self. Riddle Box is one of several used to determine the fate of the dead. Upon death, a soul enters a chamber containing a jack-in-the-box on an old wooden table.
