1928 English cricket season

The 1928 English cricket season was notable for the first Test series in England by a West Indies team in which England won 3-0.[1] The 1928 County Championship was won by Lancashire County Cricket Club for a third successive year.[2]


Test series[edit]

West Indies made its first Test Match tour of England and were hopelessly outclassed by the hosts, who won all three Tests by an innings.

Harold Larwood topped the averages with 138 wickets @ 14.51
