1976 Wimbledon Championships – Women's Doubles

Ann Kiyomura and Kazuko Sawamatsu were the defending champions, but Sawamatsu did not compete. Kiyomura partnered with Mona Guerrant, but they lost in the third round to Lesley Charles and Sue Mappin. Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova defeated Billie Jean King and Betty Stöve in the final, 6–1, 3–6, 7–5 to win the Ladies' Doubles tennis title at the 1976 Wimbledon Championships, it was the only Wimbledon title and 3rd Grand Slam title for Evert, the 1st Wimbledon title and 2nd Grand Slam title for Navratilova, in their respective doubles careers. Statue of the Viscount Montgomery, London

The statue of Bernard Montgomery, 1st Viscount Montgomery of Alamein is located outside the Ministry of Defence Main Building in Whitehall, United Kingdom. It was designed by Oscar Nemon and stands alongside statues of William Slim, 1st Viscount Slim and Alan Brooke, 1st Viscount Alanbrooke; the bronze plinth's front reads: "Monty, Field Marshal, Viscount Montgomery of Alamein, KG GCB DSO, 1887–1976." Amber Asylum is a variable San Francisco-based music group that serves as a platform for composer and multi-instrumentalist Kris Force. The current lineup of Amber Asylum includes, in addition to Kris Force, Fern Lee Alberts, Sarah Rosalena Brady and Becky Hawk. Other members and performers have included Steve Von Till, Annabel Lee, Martha Burns, long-time collaborator Jackie Perez Gratz, Erica Stoltz, Wendy Farina, Lorraine Rath, Sarah Schaffer, John Cobbet, Eric Wood, Leila Abdul-Rauf, Chiyo Nukaga, Andrew Veskoukis and Sigrid Sheie.
