Buenos Aires
–
Buenos Aires is the capital and most populous city of Argentina. The city is located on the shore of the estuary of the Río de la Plata. The city of Buenos Aires is neither part of Buenos Aires Province nor the Provinces capital, rather, in 1880, after decades of political infighting, Buenos Aires was federalized and removed from Buenos Aires Province. The city limits were enlarged to include the towns of Belgrano and Flores, the 1994 constitutional amendment granted the city autonomy, hence its formal name, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires. Its citizens first elected a chief of government in 1996, previously, Buenos Aires is considered an alpha city by the study GaWC5. Buenos Aires quality of life was ranked 81st in the world and one of the best in Latin America in 2012 and it is the most visited city in South America, and the second-most visited city of Latin America. Buenos Aires is a top tourist destination, and is known for its preserved Spanish/European-style architecture, Buenos Aires held the 1st Pan American Games in 1951 as well as hosting two venues in the 1978 FIFA World Cup. Buenos Aires will host the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics and the 2018 G20 summit, Buenos Aires is a multicultural city, being home to multiple ethnic and religious groups. Several languages are spoken in the city in addition to Spanish, contributing to its culture, the hill was known to them as Buen Ayre, as it was free of the foul smell prevalent in the old city, which is adjacent to swampland. During the siege of Cagliari, the Aragonese built a sanctuary to the Virgin Mary on top of the hill, in 1335, King Alfonso the Gentle donated the church to the Mercedarians, who built an abbey that stands to this day. In the years after that, a story circulated, claiming that a statue of the Virgin Mary was retrieved from the sea after it miraculously helped to calm a storm in the Mediterranean Sea, the statue was placed in the abbey. Spanish sailors, especially Andalusians, venerated this image and frequently invoked the Fair Winds to aid them in their navigation, a sanctuary to the Virgin of Buen Ayre would be later erected in Seville. Pedro de Mendoza called the city Holy Mary of the Fair Winds, mendoza’s settlement soon came under attack by indigenous people, and was abandoned in 1541. For many years, the name was attributed to a Sancho del Campo, a second settlement was established in 1580 by Juan de Garay, who sailed down the Paraná River from Asunción. Garay preserved the name chosen by Mendoza, calling the city Ciudad de la Santísima Trinidad y Puerto de Santa María del Buen Aire. The short form Buenos Aires became the common usage during the 17th century, the usual abbreviation for Buenos Aires in Spanish is Bs. As. It is common as well to refer to it as B. A. or BA /ˌbiːˈeɪ/ bee-AY), while BA is used more by expats residing in the city, the locals more often use the abbreviation Baires, in one word. Seaman Juan Díaz de Solís, navigating in the name of Spain, was the first European to reach the Río de la Plata in 1516 and his expedition was cut short when he was killed during an attack by the native Charrúa tribe in what is now Uruguay

Argentina
–
Argentina, officially the Argentine Republic, is a federal republic in the southern half of South America. With a mainland area of 2,780,400 km2, Argentina is the eighth-largest country in the world, the second largest in Latin America, and the largest Spanish-speaking one. The country is subdivided into provinces and one autonomous city, Buenos Aires. The provinces and the capital have their own constitutions, but exist under a federal system, Argentina claims sovereignty over part of Antarctica, the Falkland Islands, and South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. The earliest recorded presence in the area of modern-day Argentina dates back to the Paleolithic period. The country has its roots in Spanish colonization of the region during the 16th century, Argentina rose as the successor state of the Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata, a Spanish overseas viceroyalty founded in 1776. The country thereafter enjoyed relative peace and stability, with waves of European immigration radically reshaping its cultural. The almost-unparalleled increase in prosperity led to Argentina becoming the seventh wealthiest developed nation in the world by the early 20th century, Argentina retains its historic status as a middle power in international affairs, and is a prominent regional power in the Southern Cone and Latin America. Argentina has the second largest economy in South America, the third-largest in Latin America and is a member of the G-15 and it is the country with the second highest Human Development Index in Latin America with a rating of very high. Because of its stability, market size and growing high-tech sector, the description of the country by the word Argentina has to be found on a Venice map in 1536. In English the name Argentina probably comes from the Spanish language, however the naming itself is not Spanish, Argentina means in Italian of silver, silver coloured, probably borrowed from the Old French adjective argentine of silver > silver coloured already mentioned in the 12th century. The French word argentine is the form of argentin and derives of argent silver with the suffix -in. The Italian naming Argentina for the country implies Argentina Terra land of silver or Argentina costa coast of silver, in Italian, the adjective or the proper noun is often used in an autonomous way as a substantive and replaces it and it is said lArgentina. The name Argentina was probably first given by the Venitian and Genoese navigators, in Spanish and Portuguese, the words for silver are respectively plata and prata and of silver is said plateado and prateado. Argentina was first associated with the silver mountains legend, widespread among the first European explorers of the La Plata Basin. The first written use of the name in Spanish can be traced to La Argentina, a 1602 poem by Martín del Barco Centenera describing the region, the 1826 constitution included the first use of the name Argentine Republic in legal documents. The name Argentine Confederation was also used and was formalized in the Argentine Constitution of 1853. In 1860 a presidential decree settled the name as Argentine Republic

Spanish language
–
Spanish —also called Castilian —is a Romance language that originated in the Castile region of Spain, with hundreds of millions of native speakers around the world. It is usually considered the worlds second-most spoken native language after Mandarin Chinese and it is one of the few languages to use inverted question and exclamation marks. Spanish is a part of the Ibero-Romance group of languages, which evolved from several dialects of Vulgar Latin in Iberia after the collapse of the Western Roman Empire in the 5th century. Beginning in the early 16th century, Spanish was taken to the colonies of the Spanish Empire, most notably to the Americas, as well as territories in Africa, Oceania, around 75% of modern Spanish is derived from Latin. Greek has also contributed substantially to Spanish vocabulary, especially through Latin, Spanish vocabulary has been in contact from an early date with Arabic, having developed during the Al-Andalus era in the Iberian Peninsula. With around 8% of its vocabulary being Arabic in origin, this language is the second most important influence after Latin and it has also been influenced by Basque as well as by neighboring Ibero-Romance languages. It also adopted words from languages such as Gothic language from the Visigoths in which many Spanish names and surnames have a Visigothic origin. Spanish is one of the six languages of the United Nations. It is the language in the world by the number of people who speak it as a mother tongue, after Mandarin Chinese. It is estimated more than 437 million people speak Spanish as a native language. Spanish is the official or national language in Spain, Equatorial Guinea, speakers in the Americas total some 418 million. In the European Union, Spanish is the tongue of 8% of the population. Spanish is the most popular second language learned in the United States, in 2011 it was estimated by the American Community Survey that of the 55 million Hispanic United States residents who are five years of age and over,38 million speak Spanish at home. The Spanish Constitution of 1978 uses the term castellano to define the language of the whole Spanish State in contrast to las demás lenguas españolas. Article III reads as follows, El castellano es la lengua española oficial del Estado, las demás lenguas españolas serán también oficiales en las respectivas Comunidades Autónomas. Castilian is the official Spanish language of the State, the other Spanish languages as well shall be official in their respective Autonomous Communities. The Spanish Royal Academy, on the hand, currently uses the term español in its publications. Two etymologies for español have been suggested, the Spanish Royal Academy Dictionary derives the term from the Provençal word espaignol, and that in turn from the Medieval Latin word Hispaniolus, from—or pertaining to—Hispania

Nonprofit organization
–
A nonprofit organization is an organization whose purpose is something other than making a profit. A nonprofit organization is dedicated to furthering a particular social cause or advocating for a particular point of view. This is known as the non-distribution constraint, the decision to adopt a nonprofit legal structure is one that will often have taxation implications, particularly where the nonprofit seeks income tax exemption, charitable status and so on. The terms nonprofit and not-for-profit are not consistently differentiated across jurisdictions, in laymans terms they are usually equivalent in concept, although in various jurisdictions there are accounting and legal differences. The nonprofit landscape is varied, although many people have come to associate NPOs with charitable organizations. Although charities do make up an often high-profile or visible aspect of the sector, overall, they tend to be either member-serving or community-serving. e. It could be argued many nonprofits sit across both camps, at least in terms of the impact they make. For example, the support group that provides a lifeline to those with a particular condition or disease could be deemed to be serving its members. Many NPOs use the model of a bottom line in that furthering their cause is more important than making a profit. Although NPOs are permitted to generate revenues, they must be retained by the organization for its self-preservation, expansion. NPOs have controlling members or a board of directors, many have paid staff including management, whereas others employ unpaid volunteers and executives who work with or without compensation. In some countries, where there is a fee, in general. The extent to which an NPO can generate surplus revenues may be constrained or use of surplus revenues may be restricted. Some NPOs may also be a charity or service organization, they may be organized as a corporation or as a trust. Their goal is not to be successful in terms of wealth, NPOs have a wide diversity of structures and purposes. Some of the above must be expressed in the charter of establishment or constitution. Others may be provided by the authority at each particular jurisdiction. While affiliations will not affect a legal status, they may be taken into consideration by legal proceedings as an indication of purpose, most countries have laws that regulate the establishment and management of NPOs and that require compliance with corporate governance regimes

While writing at his studio, Armstrong worked on a cover of The Whos 1966 mini-opera A Quick One, While Hes Away. Vig noted that frustrations would sometimes cause delays in the process for 21st Century Breakdown. Recording took place at Aigle Studio, a facility installed at the Ryans home in Killiney, Enya adopted a five-day working schedule to work on the album, working from 10 a. m. to 6 p. m. and taking weekends off. The album is Enyas first of her not to include a song sung in Gaelic. Amarantine is a song, of which its title is a word that Enya said addresses the idea of everlasting. Roma had used the word in Floras Secret on A Day Without Rain which in its lyric was spelled amaranthine, in her notes about the song, Roma wrote the track is a song of sadness, adding, for how else can one describe such sorrow. Not knowing where a loved one is, not knowing how they are, the idea of returning home after a long journey is what Long Long Journey was written about, and is a theme Enya has covered across her career. The theme of sadness is revisited once more on Someone Said Goodbye, a song about one reflecting on life which at times may bring on sad feelings. A Moment Lost addresses two ideas, the feeling of words spoken at times of anger by a loved one that leave a mark on ones heart. Drifting is a piece that developed from a piano melody. According to Roma, Amid Falling Snow was inspired by a childs amazement of seeing snowfall for the first time, Amarantine features Enya singing in two new languages for the first time. Sumiregusa is sung in Japanese, of which its opening bars is taken from an arrangement of the hymn Hark, the Vesper Hymn is Stealing by the Irish composer John Andrew Stevenson. Recording took place from July to September 1998 at Eldorado Recording Studios with producer Dave Jerden, on the albums direction, Holland told Guitar World, The idea wasnt to reinvent the wheel. We expanded our horizons on our last record and thats okay, Pay the Man was even left off Ixnay on the Hombre for sounding too different from anything else the band had currently made at that time. As a rock opera and an album, it was the first installment in a trilogy which included succeeding releases Mechanical Animals. It was recorded at Nothing Studios in New Orleans and produced by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails and it is the last album to feature Daisy Berkowitz as he left the band halfway through the albums recording. Antichrist Superstar has sold seven million copies worldwide, including 1.9 million copies in the United States alone. It spawned two singles, and an autobiography. The band supported the album with the controversial Dead to the World Tour, in the years since its release, it has been heralded by numerous publications as the bands finest work. The albums title is a takeoff on Andrew Lloyd Webbers 1971 musical Jesus Christ Superstar, similarly, the record is a rock opera which, in an issue of Kerrang. Magazine edited by the frontman, is stated as a tribute to—and inspired by—the works of German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. After the release of Holy Wood, Marilyn Manson divulged that his concept album trilogy is a story told in a reverse timeline. That means Holy Wood opens the storyline followed by Mechanical Animals, furthermore, though Antichrist Superstar and Mechanical Animals made sense as individual concept albums on their own, there was a hidden overarching story running through the three releases. Also, found on the front of the cover is a circle surrounded by the words Heart, Mind, Complacent. The booklet also makes reference to Revelation chapter 12, verses one to five, in the Bible. The album, despite containing a gap of silence a few long, is cyclical. When the album is placed on loop, the pacing between the matches that of the additional distorted recitation found in the preceding hidden track. The names of the two latter cycles seem to be a reference to two films by avant-garde filmmaker Kenneth Anger, Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome and Lucifer Rising, the Beautiful People is the first single of Antichrist Superstar

Tom Elmhirst, who remixed the single You Know Im No Good, was enlisted to help with the mixing of the album and he first received Ronsons original mix, which he described as being radical in terms of panning, kind of Beatlesque. The drums, for instance, were all panned to one side and he attempted to mix Love Is a Losing Game in the same manner he did with Rehab, but he felt it was not right. The majority of the produced by Ronson were done at the studio of the band the Dap-Kings, in Brooklyn. Brothers in Arms (album)
–
Brothers in Arms is the fifth studio album by the British rock band Dire Straits, released on 13 May 1985 by Vertigo Records internationally, and by Warner Bros. Records in the United States. The album won two Grammy Awards in 1986, and also won Best British Album at the 1987 Brit Awards, Q magazine placed the album at number 51 in its list of the 100 Greatest British Albums Ever. Brothers in Arms would become Dire Straits final album until they reunited and recorded 1991s On Every Street, Brothers in Arms was recorded from November 1984 to March 1985 at AIR Studios on the island of Montserrat, a British overseas territory in the Caribbean. The album was produced by Mark Knopfler and Neil Dorfsman, Knopfler became aware of Dorfsman through his 1981 recording of the Wanderlust album by jazz vibraphonist Mike Mainieri. In 1982, Knopfler asked Dorfsman to work with him on the 1982 Dire Straits album, Love over Gold, Brothers in Arms was one of the first albums to be recorded on a Sony 24-track digital tape machine. The decision to move to digital recording came from Knopflers constant striving for better sound quality, one of the things that I totally respected about him, Dorfsman observed, was his interest in technology as a means of improving his music. He was always willing to spend on high-quality equipment, before arriving at Montserrat, Knopfler had written all the songs and rehearsed them with the band. The studio itself was small, with a 20-by-25-foot recording space that offered virtually no isolation and it was a good-sounding studio, Dorfsman later recalled, but the main room itself was nothing to write home about. The sound of that studio was the desk, referring to the Neve 8078 board and they placed the piano in a tight booth in the far right corner of the studio, miked with AKG C414s. The Hammond B3 was placed nearby, with its Leslie speaker crammed into a next to the control room. Illsleys bass amplifier was recorded inside a small booth with a Neumann FET47. Knopflers amplifiers were miked with 57s, 451s, and Neumann U67s, fletchers synths were placed in the control room. During the recording of Money for Nothing, the sound of Knopflers guitar may have been enhanced by a happy accident of microphone placement. Knopfler was using his Gibson Les Paul going through a Laney amplifier, what they heard was exactly what ended up on the record, no additional processing or effects were used during the mix. He was therefore replaced by one of the most popular jazz session drummers of the time, Omar Hakim. Terry Williams improvised crescendo at the beginning of Money for Nothing was used on the record, Williams would be back in the band for the music videos and the tour. Brothers in Arms was one of the first albums to be directed at the CD market and it was also released on vinyl and cassette. Brothers in Arms was the first album to one million copies in the CD format

Enya (album)
–
Enya is the first studio album by the Irish singer, songwriter and musician Enya, released in March 1987 by BBC Records in the United Kingdom and by Atlantic Records in the United States. It was renamed as The Celts for the 1992 international re-release of the album by Warner Music internationally, the album is a selection of music she recorded for the soundtrack to the BBC television series The Celts, aired in 1987. Four years into her largely unnoticed solo career, Enya landed her first major project in 1985 when producer Tony McAuley asked her to contribute a song to the soundtrack, Enya received mostly mixed reviews from critics when it was released in 1987. It was a commercial success, peaking at number eight in Ireland. The album continued to sell, it was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for shipments of one million copies, despite its commercial performance, the album helped Enya secure a recording contract with Warner after chairman Rob Dickins became a fan of its music. After the commercial success of Enyas next two albums, the album was reissued as The Celts which outperformed its original sales and it reached a new peak of number ten on the UK Albums Chart and sold a further one million copies in the United States. In 2009, The Celts was reissued in Japan with a bonus track, as a coincidence, Enya had recorded a track named March of the Celts before she was asked to be involved, and decided to submit it to the project. Initially, each episode of the series was to feature a different composer, Enya worked with her usual recording partners, arranger and producer Nicky Ryan and his wife, lyricist Roma Ryan. When they recorded at the BBC studio, Nicky had to teach the audio engineers how he, Nicky said he told them to forget everything learned and just bear with us for at least a week. One such example was Nickys use of reverb, which he set to 24 seconds instead of the more common placement of one-and-a-half seconds, a total of 72 minutes of music was recorded for the series. Roma recalled that Enya was given various pastiches that Richardson wished to incorporate into the episodes which Enya then used as a guide for to write music to complement them, Enya includes 39 minutes of selected pieces from the soundtrack. The albums front cover depicts Enya posing with stuffed wolves, several of the albums track titles are titled or based on various historical figures and stories. In writing about the song in 2002, Roma pointed out that Aldebaran is named after the brightest star in the constellation of Taurus, the track was recorded in its entirety at Aigle Studio as Nicky expressed the difficulty in having to recreate the recording process elsewhere. The Celts was used as the title theme for the television series. As a song about her was written, Richardson wished for a new track that depicted the idea of being spellbound by Boudica. In the liner notes of the albums 1992 reissue, I Want Tomorrow is described, simply, as thoughts of the present and March of the Celts echoes from the past. The Sun in the Stream was inspired by the legend of the Salmon of Knowledge, fairytale is a track based on a story of early Irish literature about love, jealousy, secrets and endurance between Midir, a fairy king, and his love for a princess, Étaín. In the story, Etain is banished and transformed into a pool of water, Epona is the name of the horse goddess Epona of the Gallo-Roman religion

Come Taste the Band
–
Come Taste The Band is the tenth studio album by the English rock band Deep Purple, originally released in October 1975. The album was co-produced and engineered by the band and longtime associate Martin Birch, when Blackmore left the band in 1975, there was uncertainty over whether Deep Purple would continue, as they did when Ian Gillan and Roger Glover left in 1973. It was David Coverdale who asked Jon Lord to keep the band together, musically, the album is more commercial-sounding than the Deep Purple Mark III releases, leaning toward a conventional hard rock focus with overtones of soul and funk. Rehearsals for the album were recorded by Robert Simon, who was engineering the album. But after a dispute with the band over scheduling, the band left Simons Pirate Sound Studios in favour of Martin Birch, according to Glenn Hughes and Lord, at least two songs were written well in advance of the albums recording. You Keep on Moving had been written in 1973 by Hughes and Coverdale, so Coverdale rewrote much of the lyrics, and the song was included with Cooks blessing. The remainder of the album was written in Los Angeles, then recorded in Munich. The album was certified Silver on 1 November 1975 by the BPI, in recent years the album has received some critical reassessment, primarily due to Bolins contributions to the album. Ian Gillan, on the hand, has stated that he does not view the album as a real Deep Purple album. In 1990, the album was remastered and re-released in the US by Metal Blade Records and it was re-released again on the Friday Music label on 31 July 2007, along with Made in Europe and Stormbringer. The tour to support this album started strong, according to Lord in the documentary video Deep Purple – Getting Tighter, The Story of MK-IV, in Hawaii, Australia and New Zealand. However, according to Lord and Hughes on the documentary, in Jakarta, Indonesia. Specifically the two affirmed that Hughes and two others were framed for the death of the highly trained security worker, Patsy Collins. Hughes and the two others were placed in jail, the promoter also sold a second nights show, and forced the band to play for only the original fee for one night. Hughes was taken from jail at gunpoint to the second show, during this time, Bolin was given morphine by the promoter, which caused problems on the bands next stop in Japan. Their next stop was Japan, immediately afterwards, Tommy Bolin had taken the drugs given to him and fell asleep for an excess of 8 hours on his arm, causing him to be unable to play the guitar properly. According to Hughes, many of Bolins guitar parts were covered by Lord on his organ, Lord stated that to carry on with the concert, Bolin had several guitars tuned to open keys, minor and major, depending upon the song being played. He would make a bar position with his fingers, and play a rhythm while Lord played the melodies

According to Corey Moss of MTV News, fans are eager to see how Beyoncé, after years with the group, the idea of individual releases emanated from the groups manager and Beyoncés father, Mathew. With different types of music for each member to produce, the albums were not intended to compete on the charts, Destinys Childs management strategically planned to stagger the release of each group members album to maximise sales. Michelle Williams was the first to release a solo album, Heart to Yours. Meanwhile, Beyoncé debuted on the big screen, starring in the comedy film Austin Powers in Goldmember, and recorded her single, Work It Out. Beyoncé also starred in The Fighting Temptations and recorded another solo single, in August 2002, she collaborated with boyfriend Jay-Z as featured vocalist on the song 03 Bonnie & Clyde. The single earned Beyoncé credibility and paved the way for the release of Dangerously in Love, before Beyoncé began recording for Dangerously in Love, she selected the producers with whom she would collaborate. For two days, she held meetings with producers from the West Coast across the East Coast. Beyoncé went to Miami, Florida to begin sessions with Canadian record producer Scott Storch, her first collaborator, as she wanted to concentrate on the album, Beyoncé took her time to avoid pressure build-up, significantly different from the hasty productions of Destinys Child. Although Beyoncé did not create beats, she came up with melodies, with 43 songs completed —15 of which made it to the album— Beyoncé is credited as co-writer and co-producer, as well as the albums executive producer alongside Matthew Knowles. Beyoncé felt that recording an album without her group mates was liberating and therapeutic, coming into the studio, the dependency she developed with Destinys Child, however, meant it was harder to be on own creatively

A Day Without Rain
–
While making the album, Enya started to question about her life and attempted to answered them in the material she was writing. In a musical departure from her previous albums, Enya incorporates a section which was not a conscious decision. As a result, Only Time climbed to number ten on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and it became the fifth highest selling album of 2001 in the United States, and the best selling new age album of all time with an estimated 16 million copies sold worldwide. It remains Enyas highest selling album of her career, to promote the album, Enya made several interviews and televised performances, including the 2001 World Music Awards. In 2002, the album won Enya her third Grammy Award for Best New Age Album, recording took place at Aigle Studios, a studio installed at the Ryans home in Killiney, County Dublin, Ireland. The reduction in her work made her feel happier as a result. As with her previous albums, Enya produced A Day Without Rain in the same way and she first spends time alone developing melodies and outlines of songs on the piano. These would then be presented to the Ryans, Im quite anxious at this point, she said, while Roma starts to write lyrics to the melodies, Enya and Nicky will work in the studio to develop them into completed arrangements. Working without a deadline from her record label or a set timeline, Time for it to have its life out in the world. During the making of the album, Enya found she was questioning herself about her life and she compared the album to reading her own diary. Like in Pilgrim, she said, I was asking myself, and my answer is that I wouldnt change anything. Floras Secret is a song makes reference to Flora, the Roman mythological goddess of flowers. Enya and Roma incorporated some of Enyas experiences from her own life on Only Time. A Day Without Rain features a greater use of strings than previous albums, the three work by trying any possible idea with the music, and they stick with elements that give the greatest result, creatively. Most of the songs on the album were written in the key, Enya believed it helped to create a more positive. A Day Without Rain was titled to reference the amount of rain falls over Ireland throughout the year. After one particular stretch of consistent raining over a few days and it was then when Enya proceeded to write the track. She described its meaning as the mood of a peaceful day

The Allmusic review by Victor W. the songwriting is superbly honed -- there seem to be no fat or extraneous parts in any of the albums 13 tracks, surfer Calavera mixes thrash, funk, reggae, and harmony vocals into the albums most infectious track. Rather than being distracting, however, such stylistic shifts enhance the energy, Fabulosos Calavera demonstrates that it is possible to have fun and give listeners plenty to chew on motionally. 12 years into their career, they made their most successful record yet
