Homegoings (film)

Homegoings is a 2013 documentary film directed by Christine Turner about the Owens Funeral Home on Lenox Avenue in Harlem, exploring African-American death rituals through the work of funeral home director Isaiah Owens. The film premiered February 28 at the Museum of Modern Art's'Documentary Fortnight 2013' showcase, before airing on PBS-TV's POV series and screening for a week at the Maysles Cinema. A Brooklyn-based documentary filmmaker and child of a Chinese-American mother and African-American father, Turner has stated she became interested in death rituals after both of her grandmothers died within two weeks of each other, she subsequently contacted Owens—known as "Fix Em" for his ability to repair corpses ravaged by disease, accident or violence—after reading a newspaper article about his work. David Zennie

David Zennie is American director and producer best known for working with international artists including Yo Yo Honey Singh and Mohammed Assaf. He splits his time between Los Angeles and Dubai, U. A. E. Zennie was born and raised in Cincinnati and was drawn to filmmaking at a young age. After winning a national competition at the age of 14, he directed his first television commercial for Wrigley's Chewing Gum, shown across the United States on MTV and Comedy Central. After graduating early from Lakota East High School he went on to study film at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Zennie directed many of the Middle East's first Hip Hop music videos starting in 2008. In 2011 he crossed over to the Desi market directing a music video for up and coming Indian rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh; the video for the song Brown Rang showcased the lavishness of Dubai with Zennie’s creative vision and marketing experience in artist branding being instrumental in the success of the video. After the tremendous success of Brown Rang, Zennie was asked to direct the music video for the song Long Drive for the feature film Khiladi 786 starring Bollywood action superstar Akshay Kumar and Asin Thottumkal.

In 2013 Zennie was selected by Chrysler to direct their latest television commercial for the Chrysler 300C featuring the Beats By Dr. Dre speaker option; the commercial titled “A Salute to the Driven Class” featured Emirati entertainment personality DJ Bliss. Through the years Zennie has compiled a diverse portfolio of work consisting of over 70 international productions, he has filmed on location around the world in India, the United Kingdom, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon. In May 2012 Zennie was featured on the cover of the Middle East's leading industry magazine Digital Studio. Zennie is a 3 time Murex D’or Nominee for his work with Lebanese artists Joseph Attieh and Joe Ashkar. Amwell Quarry

Amwell Quarry or Amwell Nature Reserve is a 37 hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Amwell in Hertfordshire. The planning authority is East Hertfordshire District Council, it is part of the Lee Valley Ramsar Site and Special Protection Area, is owned and managed by the Hertfordshire and Middlesex Wildlife Trust. The site is a former gravel pit, restored to become a wetland nature reserve with two lakes, Great Hardmead Lake and Hollycross Lake, it is internationally important for wintering wildfowl, is Britain's most important site for dragonflies. It has large communities of damselflies and breeding birds. Plants hairlike pondweed, both nationally rare. Amwell has a quarter of all British species of molluscs. Adam Conley

Adam Michael Conley is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball. He made his MLB debut in 2015. Conley was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 32nd round of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft out of Olympia High School in Olympia, Washington, he instead attended Washington State University. In 2011, as a junior, he went 6-7 with a 3.50 ERA in 16 starts. He was drafted by the Florida Marlins in the second round of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft. Conley made his professional debut for the Gulf Coast Marlins that year, he started the 2012 season with the Greensboro Grasshoppers and was promoted to the Jupiter Hammerheads during the season. He played the 2013 season with the Double-A Jacksonville Suns, he started 2014 in Triple-A for the New Orleans Zephyrs. Conley made his major league debut on June 10, 2015. On April 29, 2016, Conley was pulled while pitching a no-hitter against the Milwaukee Brewers on the road with two outs in the eighth inning.

The bullpen would go on to blow the shutout in the ninth inning. On July 3, 2016, Conley started the Fort Bragg Game, the first time an MLB game was played at an active military base, he pitched the bottom half of the first six innings, allowing no runs scored, was the winning pitcher. On August 14, 2016, he was placed on the 15-day disabled list with tendonitis of his left third-finger, he finished the season 8-5 with a 3.85 ERA in ​133 1⁄3 innings. He struggled the next season, he finished with an 8-8 record.
