Cream Lemon
–
Cream Lemon is an early hentai series. The first Cream Lemon OVA was released in August 1984, though Cream Lemon was not the first hentai OVA, the first was Lolita Anime, released earlier in February 1984. The overriding theme of the series is sex of almost any kind imaginable, most chapters stand alone as separate titles, having no relation to any other stories within the Cream Lemon series. The main recurring characters are a brother, Hiroshi, and sister, Ami, Cream Lemon often focuses on unrealistic and exaggerated themes that could never happen. One such example is of the story of a girl who does not like sex because of a series of rapes in her family, to cure this, the school counseler orders her to strip off in front of the art class and masturbate herself to the point of orgasm. She then has sex with a boy and likes it. Related to the Cream Lemon series is the Project A-ko series, the only remaining indication is the bath scene with B-ko. Be My Baby Escalation Superdimension SF Legend Rall Pop Chaser Ami Again Escalation 2, Mako Sexy Symphony Part I Super Virgin Happening Summer Star Trap Black Cat Manor Dont Do It Mako. Both episodes are connected with the two most popular Cream Lemon stories, the Escalation and Ami series and they also commissioned a romantic live action movie loosely based on the Ami series. These proved to be popular with a new generation of fans who were unaware that Cream Lemon had its roots in hentai. A live action video series or V-Cinema series followed, keeping the surreal and bizarre storyline with an adult edge but refraining from showing any explicit sex scenes

EX magazines Charles McCarter felt the series had good character designs and he also praised the series musical soundtrack and the animation quality. to be a bullying tantrum-thrower and all-around not-very nice guy. He also criticized the English voice actors in the Central Park Media dub for the mispronunciation of the Japanese names, as a whole, however, McCarter felt it was a fun series, particularly for fans of the occult and horror genres. Carlos Ross of THEM Anime Reviews agreed with McCarter about Tarumis character design being the cutest of the rather than ugly. However, Ross felt the series was unmemorable, plagued with writing inconsistencies and he also disliked the English dub, finding Lisa Ortizs performance as Tarumi to be grating, the other voices forgettable and annoying for their mispronunciation of names. In his final summary, Ross felt that animation and lackluster writing sabotage an interesting premise and potentially cool characters. with a dose of misogyny. There have since been multiple manga, anime and computer game adaptations, the plots generally follow the conventions and structure of the RPG systems including Dungeons & Dragons and Sword World RPG, in which several characters of distinct types undertake a specific quest. Replays are not novels, but transcripts of RPG sessions, meant to hold the interest of readers and convey the events that took place. They have proven to be popular, even to those who do not play role-playing games but are fans of fiction, similar to light novels, many characters and parties in replays have become popular as characters of anime. An example of such a character is the female elf Deedlit in Record of Lodoss War, who was played by science fiction novelist Hiroshi Yamamoto during the RPG sessions. When the replay series went on to become a trilogy, Group SNE had to abandon the Dungeons & Dragons rules and create their own game, dubbed Record of Lodoss War Companion, the second was also adapted in manga form, and as a four-CD radio drama. His allies include King Kashue, King Fahn, Shiris, and Orson, his enemies include Emperor Beld, Ashram, and he is accompanied by his own cast of friends in the form of Leaf, Garrack, Greevus, Aldo, and Ryna. The third series, Legend of Crystania, places the former villain Ashram into the seat of a hero who is placed under a spell by a god beast of Crystania.
