Aambala is a 2015 Indian Tamil action comedy film co-written, co-produced and directed by Sundar C. The music was composed by Hiphop Tamizha, the Telugu dubbed version Maga Maharaju was released on 27 February 2015. Saravanan is a person in Ooty who runs a business of gathering people for politicians, one day he meets Maya and falls for her. However, Rajasekhar falls in love with her, Saravanan convinces Rajasekhar to not fall for Maya by talking about the expenses high class people require. Due to several mishaps caused, he is fired and stars working as a hotel doorman and he is shocked to find Saravanan and Maya going out together. He asks Saravanan how he made Maya fall in love with him, as Saravanan finishes his story it is revealed that it was Saravanan who indirectly caused those mishaps to Rajasekhar. Rajasekhar, hires Kumaran, who is a specialist in breaking others love, Kumaran sends Andrea Jeremiah who shows an edited photo of her and Saravanan together and how a child mistook Saravanan for her father.
This causes a conflict in the relationship of Saravanan and Maya, due to his failure in love, Saravanan consumes alcohol and was unconscious. Kumaran who is at the bar helps Saravanan and drops him at his house, Saravanans mother, who was ashamed of Saravanans behaviour, sends him to meet his father Aalavanthan and his younger brother Shakthi at Madurai. There they meet Aalavanthan and rejoin him and they come to know that Kumaran is the son of Aalavanthans ex-lover. Aalavanthan reveals to his sons that they have three aunts, Aalavanthan wants his sons to marry the daughters of their aunts so that their family can reunite once and for all. At first Saravanan hesitates but when he finds Maya is a daughter of his aunt he agrees to the plan, Aalavanthan has asked them to kidnap and he asked them to marry their cousins. Aalavanthan says that tomorrow is a function and their aunts are respected first. The next day Kumaran and Shakthi has disguised themselves so that nobody can identify them, the village people mistake them as police posted to their village, which helps the trio sneak into their aunts house.
There their uncles help them create affection to their daughters and their aunts daughters start to reciprocate love to the trio. Their elder aunt decides to participate in the MLA election in their provinces, Saravanan helps his aunt win the elections. However, a few days before the elections Saravanans aunts find out that Saravanans father is their brother Aalavanthan and their hatred towards Aalavanthan results in them getting Saravanan and his brothers caught by the police. Aalavanthan is hurt by his sisters harsh words at him and he suddenly gets a heart attack and is admitted to the hospital
Aarya is a 2007 Tamil romantic comedy film directed by Balasekaran and produced by Manoj Kumar. The film starred Madhavan and Bhavana in the roles, while Prakash Raj, Vadivelu. The films music was composed by Mani Sharma, and the venture had a theatrical release across Tamil Nadu in August 2007, Deepika is an arrogant rich girl. A medical college student, she dictates terms at the college, sister of local don Kasi, she is feared by students and even the Dean of the College. Enter Aariya, a final year student who comes to Chennai Medical College from Coimbatore, a soft-spoken Aariya runs into Deepika. In a fit of rage, she kidnaps Aariyas sister, but Aariya faces her challenges daringly. However, she falls in love with him. But he is not ready to marry the sister of a ruffian, the remaining story tells us how the brother and sister put pressure on Aariya to become a rowdy so that Aariyas status is equal enough as Kasis status so that Aariya can marry Kasis sister Deepika. Meanwhile, Snake Babu is elected the area councillor, and has a few encounters with Dr.
Aariya and he is the main source of comic relief for the film. R. Madhavan agreed to work on the film during early September 2005 and announced he would feature in a film being made by director Manoj Kumar, Manoj Kumar assigned Balasekaran to direct the film, a romantic comedy where Madhavan would portray a medical student. Malayalam actress Bhavana was signed on to appear on the film during October 2005, while Prakash Raj was selected to portray her brother, the film was shot throughout late 2005 and early 2006, with a simultaneous Telugu version shot featuring Sunil in place of Vadivelu. Fair and Lovely, a brand associated for the film, held a competition where aspiring actors could audition for a chance to play Madhavans friend in the film. Praveen from Chennai won the talent hunt and appeared in the film, however the film ran into production troubles during mid 2006 and was put on hold by the producers. The music is by Charles Bosco and it has Dubbed in Hindi under the Title Anokha Jaanwar. 18 Vayasu is about a mentally unstable youngster who falls in love, whenever he is depressed, he takes on the behaviour of an animal that he sights first. He has tried to make the theme into a mainstream one. Aalwar is a 2007 Tamil film directed by Chella and produced by Mohan Natarajan. The film featured Ajith Kumar and Asin in the roles with Lal. The films score and soundtrack is by Srikanth Deva while the cinematography was by G. Ramesh, the film opened to negative reviews. Shiva is devoted to his mother and sister, but the villainous elements kill the sister and mother. Shiva, with ringing in his mind, ends up as a killer. Shiva is out to make a statement against the venal forces and he sees himself as some kind of avatar. In fact, he bumps off the baddies under the get-ups of Lord Rama, in climax, Shiva turns up as Lord Narasimha and bumps off the last villain by placing him on his thighs and ripping apart his bowels and chest with his sharp claws. Chella had previously worked as an associate to S. J. Suryah, the film held its photo session on July 20,2006 with Asin, Ajiths pair in the much delayed Varalaru, being selected once again while Ramesh G of Naalai was chosen as cinematographer. The film began at the Ramoji Rao Studios in Hyderabad in August 2006, a couple of songs were filmed in Switzerland as the film geared up for a Pongal release alongside Vijays Pokkiri.
Shalini, Ajiths wife, was the designer for Ajith in the film. com labelling it a built on a predictable premise. Rediff. coms review concluded that Sellas directorial debut lacks originality and is a hotch potch of celebrated scripts of the past, the producers dubbed and released the film in Telugu as Avatharudu and Hindi as Mera Farz, with both versions going unnoticed. A Kannada remake was planned by Rajkumar but later dropped, the director of the film, has not directed a film since despite announcing two other film, Neruppu Kozhi with Sakthi and Por Vaal with Jeevan. Anniyan is a 2005 Indian Tamil-language psychological thriller film written and directed by S. Shankar and produced by V. Ravichandran of Aascar Films. The plot centres on an everyman whose frustration at what he sees as increasing social apathy. Sadha plays his love interest, actors Vivek, Prakash Raj, Nedumudi Venu and Nassar feature in the film. Shankar conceived the film in mid-2003 during the period of his previous film. He based the film on his own experiences during his formative years when he was disturbed by what he saw around him. Pre-production for Anniyan began in November 2003 and principal photography in March 2004, the making of the film, which included numerous production delays, took 14 months. The film was shot at Hyderabad, Thanjavur and Chennai, the film was notable for its recreation of the Tyagaraja Aradhana music festival and the extensive use of time slice photography in an action sequence. Cinematographer V. Manikandan abandoned the project halfway through, until he was replaced with Ravi Varman.
The technical departments were headed by V. T. Vijayan, Sabu Cyril, and Peter Hein, and the soundtrack was composed by Harris Jayaraj, who was in his first collaboration with the director. The film was touted as the magnum opus and was budgeted at ₹263.8 million. Notably, it was the first South Indian film to obtain institutional finance, the film was dubbed into French and released in French-speaking countries worldwide by Columbia Tristar. Aathi is a 2006 Tamil action film starring Vijay and Trisha in the lead roles. It is a remake of the Telugu film Athanokkade and this film was directed by Ramana and was produced by S. A. Chandrasekar. The movie received mixed to positive reviews but was declared an average grosser at the box office and it was dubbed in Telugu as Neneraa Aadhi and in Hindi as Adi Narayan. The opening scene shows Anjali sitting on a bench feeding a white pigeon by an ocean. After that, the scene shifts to Aadhi who lives with his foster & loving parents and he takes up a course in a Chennai college against his parents wishes, while he is actually on mission to eliminate the people behind the murder of his blood family. Unable to be separated from Aadhi, his parents and their daughter come to Chennai along with him. It is revealed that Anjali is studying in the college as Aadhi and she has her own agenda to seek revenge on her familys killers. Now the villain RDX, a local gangster enters and is shown to have a dispute with another person Pattabhi, to exact their revenge Anjalis uncle attempts to kill one of RDXs henchmen Sada but fails to do so since Aadhi kills him.
Naturally RDX assumes that the killer can be other than Pattabhi. However Aadhi arrives on the scene and with help from Bullet, threatens RDX telling that he was the one who killed Sada, as typical, Abdullah gets angry, and goes to kill Aadhi but fails, and Aadhi kills Abdullah while his foster parents are watching with horror. On being questioned Aadhi tells his story, Aadhis biological father was an honest cop who arrested one of the henchmen of RDX. It is revealed that Anjali and Aadhi are from the family as Anjalis father is Aadhis fathers brother-in-law. RDX pays Aadhis house a visit and asks his grandfather to let his henchmen go, when Aadhis grandfather refuses, RDX threatens them only to find knives held at him by Aadhi and his cousins. Aadhis father arrives and arrests RDX, enfuriated, he pays them a visit with some of his henchmen and Shankar. Together, they murder their whole extended family, only Anjali, her uncle Ramachandran and Aadhi survived the blast that annihilated their family.
After the house is blown up by RDX, Aadhi escapes and is taken in by his foster parents, on finding out his past, Aadhis foster parents request him to come back but he refuses. He takes them to the station but is nearly ambushed. He succeeds on defeating them and meets RDX and warns him to bring his brother from Dubai, soon he arrives and in revenge kills Anjalis and Aadhis uncle and challenges Aadhi to meet him at his brothers place
Aayirathil Oruvan (2010 film)
Aayirathil Oruvan is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language adventure film written and directed by Selvaraghavan. Produced by R. Ravindran, it features music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Ramji, the film stars Karthi, Reemma Sen and Andrea Jeremiah in the lead roles with Parthiepan playing a pivotal role. The film begins with an episode in 1279 AD, when the successor of the last great Chola Emperor, pending invasion, sends his people to a mystery location, to survive the threat. The story resumes with an archaeologist, a coolie and a member of the army going in search of the father to the ruined city that was the place the exiled Chola Prince retreated to. An expedition is promptly arranged, and on the course they stumble on the lost Chola civilization and its king, the shocking events and the problems that arise forms the crux of the story. Aayirathil Oruvan languished in development hell due to progress of the shoot. Shooting began in July 2007, and took place in locations with 2,000 extras in areas including Chalakudy and Jaisalmer.
Uncut, the runs for over 220 minutes, but the theatrical release was heavily cut at 183 minutes. The film released coinciding with the festival of Thai Pongal on 14 January 2010, with a Telugu dubbing version, titled Yuganikki Okkadu, upon release, the film received mixed reviews whilst proceeding to become a successful venture commercially. In 1279 A. D. the downfall of the Chola dynasty seems imminent as the Pandyas drive the Chola people out of their kingdom in southern India. To escape them and save the life of his successor the Chola emperor sends his son along with the Chola people to a secret territory, the refugees take along an idol sacred to the Pandyas, angering them. To capture the escaped Cholas and the idol, the Pandyas extend their invasion to unexplored territories. Centuries later, in 2009, Indian archaeologists continue searching for the existence of the lost Chola group based on clues left by the ancient Pandyan warriors, all archaeologists who attempted to search for the secret land have disappeared.
Archaeologist Chandramouli is the most recent person to have gone missing, the Indian government organizes a search expedition led by officer Anitha to find Chandramouli and the Chola empire, she is assisted by the Indian army led by Ravisekharan. They recruit archaeologist Lavanya, the daughter of Chandramouli, because her insight is essential for the success of the expedition. She hands over crucial documents on the Chola dynasty, prepared by her father, along with the army, Anitha employs a group of porters headed by Muthu, to transport the baggage during the journey. The crew embark on their voyage leading them to an island, Min-gua and they face seven traps set by the Cholas, sea creatures, warriors, hunger, quicksand and a village. He is still haunted by the suicide of his sister who was sold to a brothel and he is still trying to find out the culprit. Here he meets Sita, who is chased by Eunuch Maharani, Maharani is the madame or kingpin of the flesh trade in Mumbai. Maharani wants the beautiful Sita for the flesh trade, Appu fights and saves Sita from Maharani. 10 Endrathukulla or sometimes 10 Enradhukulla is a 2015 Indian Tamil action film written and directed by Vijay Milton. Produced by AR Murugadoss and Fox Star Studios, the film features Vikram and it was released on 21 October 2015 to mixed reviews. This movie was dubbed in Hindi as Dus Ka Dum. Shakeela is an orphan who has failed her driving test 14 times, the driving instructor is constantly irritated by Shakeelas antics during the journey to Mussoorie, but soon falls in love with her. At Mussoorie, he learns from Pooran Singh that Shakeela is to be delivered to Daksha Bhai and he delivers Shakeela to Daksha Bhai and is invited to stay at his ancestral mansion for a festival. Daksha Bhai plans to send Shakeela to jail in the place of Gadgi, the plan backfires as Shakeela escapes from the police. In the chaos ensues, Gadgi breaks her cover and kidnaps Shakeela. The driving instructor manages to rescue Shakeela and kill Gadgi Moi, Daksha Bhai, distraught at Gadgis death, commits suicide by jumping off the train with her body.
Finally, the instructor and Shakeela, who are now in a relationship. Before leaving, he whispers his name in Shakeelas ear to which she re-acts as disgusting, Vijay Milton collaborated with Vikram for his next film. Director AR Murugadoss was confirmed to be bankrolling the film along with Fox Star Studios, initially titled Idam Maari Irangiyavan, the film was renamed as 10 Endrathukulla. D. Imman was signed on as composer for this film, the movie is supposed to be a road movie, which Behindwoods states was a relatively fresh genre for the Tamil audience. Prabhu was selected to play a role, marking her first collaboration with Vikram. Pasupathy has been roped in to play an important role in the film and it was confirmed that Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff would play the antagonist in the film, therefore making a comeback to Tamil cinema after Aaranya Kaandam. In August 2014, Ramdoss of Mundasupatti fame was added to the cast, scenes involving Vikram and Samantha were shot in Chennai for a weeks time and the team was spotted filming in the MRC Nagar area of Chennai.
The film began its first schedule on 26 May 2014, the team promised a surprise Hollywood crew in the movie. The second schedule began on 23 June 2014, on 23 July 2014, the second schedule was completed and next schedule began subsequently. 7aum Arivu is a 2011 Indian science fiction-martial arts film written and directed by AR Murugadoss, featuring Suriya and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles and Johnny Tri Nguyen as the main antagonist. The film, produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin began production in May 2010 and was released on 25 October 2011 in Chennai, the visual effects for the film were done by US based Legacy effects, making this their second Indian film after Enthiran. 7aum Arivu received mixed response upon release, and opened strongly at the box office. It was dubbed into Telugu as 7th Sense which released simultaneously along with the Tamil original, the film was dubbed in Hindi as Chennai v/s China as well as in Malayalam with the original title. The film was one out of several films selected by the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce for being the Indian submission for Oscar under the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Bodhidharma, a master of arts and medical remedies, is the son of a great Tamil king of the Pallava Dynasty.
He is sent to China by his guru, who requests him to stop the spread of a pandemic disease existing there from spreading to India. He begins to teach them how to cure diseases, the skills of hypnotism. Bodhidharma agrees to die and subsequently becomes a figure in Chinese history. In modern-day China, Dong Lee is given the task of starting a government-planned biological war against India, Dong Lee arrives in Chennai and starts this operation by injecting a virus into a street dog. This disease was the one which occurred during the time of Bodhidharma in China, Dong Lee finds out Subhas mission to revive Bodhidharma and plans to kill her first, so that the disease cannot be stopped. Subha approaches Aravind, but begins to love him and spends time with him, one day, Aravinds family see Subha and clearly remember that she visited them a year before to find Aravind and know all about him for the Bodhidharma research. Saving herself, she lies by saying that she not know them. Later that night, Aravinds uncle explains all what happened one year before when they met Subha, Aravind goes and meets Subha, and is enraged upon realising the truth.
However the next day, he reconciles with Subha in a love failure mood and agrees to contribute to the research, the research begins of giving life to Bodhidharma and to end Operation Red. But Dong Lee, who is capable of doing anything, does all impossibly bad things, mastered in Nokku Varmam, Subha goes to her genetics department and announces that Operation Red can be stopped if they read and make use of the cures in a book written by Bodhidharma. However, the department laughs and refuses to believe her, claiming that an ancient book is of no use in modern times, after some time and Aravind find out that Subhas professor from the genetics department is assisting Dong Lee in Operation Red. Aadhavan is a 2009 Tamil action-comedy film directed by K. S. Ravikumar and written by Ramesh Khanna. The film features Suriya and Nayantara in the roles, with Murali, Anand Babu, Ramesh Khanna. Saroja Devi, Rahul Dev, Sayaji Shinde in its supporting cast, the music is composed by Harris Jayaraj. The film released on 17 October 2009 and performed well at the box office, the movie was dubbed in Hindi as Dildaar - The Arya and Ghatikudu in Telugu. The story of the movie is based on the 1990 Malayalam movie His Highness Abdullah, the movie was remade in Bengali as Shikari starring Bangladeshi superstar Shakib Khan. Aadhavan is an assassin working with his father Ibrahim Rowther and brother Tharani. Doctor Abdul Kulkarni hires Aadhavan to kill prominent Judge Subramaniam, since he is handling the inquiry and verdict on Abduls child kidnapping, Aadhavan attempts to murder Subramaniam but fails at the first attempt. After Abdul insults him for his inability, Aadhavan is angry with himself and he threatens the Judges comical servant Bannerjee to help him get into the house as Murugan, Bannerjees brother in law, while he locks up the actual Murugan in his ship.
Slowly Aadhavan begins to win over the members of Subramaniams household - his mother, his beautiful niece Thara, Thara is attracted to Murugans intelligence and simple-innocent nature. Aadhavan tries to assassinate the judge at home in the middle of the night and plants a bomb in Subramaniams van, Subramaniams entire family is on a trip to Darjeeling, and Thara asks Aadhavan to hide a guitar belonging to Ilaiyaman, her madcap musician cousin. Aadhavan uses this opportunity and plants a bomb in the guitar and places it in one of the cars which explodes at the wrong time. Meanwhile, a security officer at Subramaniams house keeps informing Abdul Kulkarni of Aadhavans entry into the house and all his progresses, Thara is now suspicious about Aadhavan but when she questions him in secret, he informs her that he is really Subramaniams long lost runaway son Adhavan. Thara soon informs all the members of the household about Madhavan and they are overjoyed and Thara, they hide it from Subramaniam alone, because of his hatred towards Madhavan.
Aadhavan, however tells Bannerjee that he lied to Thara about Madhavan to distract her suspicion, however, on Tharas birthday, a flashback reveals that Aadhavan is indeed the runaway Madhavan. Years ago, a ten-year-old Madhavan unknowingly carries a gift with a bomb for his cousin Tharas birthday. His friends mother plants the bomb in the toy to avenge Subramaniam for her husbands jail sentence, though Thara survives, her mother Anu, opens the box and is killed along with her husband in the explosion. Subramaniam blames Madhavan for his sister Anus death and for his friendship with a gangsters son, in anger and fear of going to a juvenile prison, Madhavan steals a gun from the cops and accidentally shoots his father and runs away from home. He saves a local goon, Ibrahim Rowther from death, and is in turn adopted as his son, coming back to the present, Abdul Kulkarni is fed up with the repeated failed attempts of Aadhavan
