Ala ud-Din Khilji, born Juna Muhammad Khilji, was the second ruler of the Khilji dynasty reigning from 1296 to 1316. He is considered to be one of the most powerful rulers in Indian history, Malik Kāfūr returned to Delhi in 1311 laden with spoils. Thereafter the fortunes of ʿAlāʾ al-Dīn and the dynasty declined, the sultan died in early 1316, and Malik Kāfūr’s attempted usurpation ended with his own death. He was a strategist and military commander who commanded forces across the Indian subcontinent, Sultan Ala-ud-din Khilji is noted in history for being one of the few rulers in the world to have repeatedly defended his empire against Mongol invasions. He defeated large Mongol armies and launched punitive expeditions against them in Central Asia, contemporary chroniclers have not written much about Alauddins childhood. According to the 17th century writer Haji-ud-Dabir, Alauddin was 34 years old when he started his march to Ranthambore, assuming this is correct, Alauddins birth can be dated to 1266-1267 CE.
His original name was Ali Gurshasp and he was the eldest son of Shihabuddin Masud, who was the elder brother of the Khilji dynastys founder Sultan Jalaluddin. He had three brothers, Almas Beg, Qutlugh Tigin and Muhammad, Alauddin was brought up by Jalaluddin after Shihabuddins death. Both Alauddin and his younger brother Almas Beg married Jalaluddins daughters, after Jalaluddin became the Sultan of Delhi, Alauddin was appointed as Amir-i-Tuzuk, while Almas Beg was given the post of Akhur-beg. Alauddins marriage to Jalaluddins daughter was not a happy one, having suddenly become a princess after Jalaluddins rise as a monarch, she was very arrogant and tried to dominate over Alauddin. According to Hajib-ud-Dabir, Alauddin married a woman named Mahru. Once, while Alauddin and Mahru were together in a garden, the incident was reported to Jalaluddin, but the Sultan did not take any action against Alauddin. Alauddin was not on terms with his mother-in-law either. According to the 16th century historian Firishta, she warned Jalaluddin that Alauddin was planning to set up an independent kingdom in a part of the country.
She kept a watch on Alauddin, and encouraged her daughters arrogant behaviour towards him. When Malik Chhajju, the governor of Kara revolted against Jalaluddin, Alauddin played an important role in crushing the revolt, as a result, Jalaluddin appointed him as the new governor of Kara in 1291. Malik Chajjus former Amirs at Kara considered Jalaluddin as a weak and ineffective ruler and this, combined with his unhappy domestic life, made Alauddin determined to dethrone Jalaluddin. To finance his plan to dethrone Jalaluddin, Alauddin decided to raid the neighbouring Hindu kingdoms, in 1293, he raided Bhilsa, a wealthy town in the Paramara kingdom of Malwa, which had been weakend by multiple invasions

Abū Bakr ‘Abdallāh bin Abī Quḥāfah aṣ-Ṣiddīq popularly known as Abu Bakr, was a senior companion and—through his daughter Aisha—the father-in-law of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Abu Bakr became the first openly declared Muslim outside Muhammads family, Abu Bakr served as a trusted advisor to Muhammad. During Muhammads lifetime, he was involved in campaigns and treaties. He ruled over the Rashidun Caliphate from 632 to 634 CE when he became the first Muslim Caliph following Muhammads death, as caliph, Abu Bakr succeeded to the political and administrative functions previously exercised by Muhammad. He was commonly known as The Truthful, Abu Bakrs reign lasted for 2 years,2 months and 14 days ending with his death after an illness. Abu Bakrs full name was Abd Allah ibn Uthman ibn Aamir ibn Amr ibn Kaab ibn Saad ibn Taym ibn Murrah ibn Kaab ibn Luai ibn Ghalib ibn Fihr al-Quraishi, the lineage of Abu Bakr joined that of Muhammad in the eighth degree in their common ancestor Murrah ibn Kab. The patrilineal lineage of Abu Bakr was, Abu Bakr, the son of Uthman Abu Quhafa, the son of Amar, the son of Umru, the son of Kaab, the son of Saad, the son of Taym, the son of Murrah.
In Arabic, the name Abd Allah means servant of Allah, one of his early titles, preceding his conversion to Islam, was atiqe, the saved one. Muhammad reaffirmed this title when he said that Abu Bakr is the atiqe and he was called Al-Siddiq by Muhammad after he believed him in the event of Isra and Miraj when other people didnt, and Ali confirmed that title several times. There is a dispute over his name being Abdullah,4, p.146 and many other narrations, narrates from Qasim Ibn Muhammad Ibn Abi Bakr, I asked Ayesha the name of Abu Bakr. I said people are saying Ateeq and she said Abu Quhafa had three children, one was Ateeq, second Mu’taq and third, Otaiq. All three names are similar and derived from the same root, Imam Jafar al Sadiq famously narrated how the title Siddiq was given to Abu Bakr from Muhammad. Jafar was a descendant of Abu Bakr from his maternal side. Jafar al-Sadiq was the successor of the Naqshbandi Sufi order believed to be originating from Abu Bakr himself, Imam Muhammad al Baqir, the father of Imam Jafar Sadiq, called Abu Bakr with the title Siddiq.
Much of the knowledge about Muhammad comes through Abu Bakrs daughter. After the death of Abu Bakr, her brother Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr was raised by Ali, after Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr was killed by the Umayyads, Aisha raised and taught her nephew al-Qasim ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr. Aisha taught another nephew Urwah ibn Zubayr and he taught his son Hisham ibn Urwah, who was the main teacher of Malik ibn Anas whose views many Sunni follow. Qasims mother was of ‘Alis family and his daughter Farwah bint al-Qasim, therefore al-Qasim was the grandson of the first caliph Abu Bakr and the grandfather of Jafar al-Sadiq

Tropical cyclone naming
Tropical cyclones and subtropical cyclones are named by various warning centers to provide ease of communication between forecasters and the general public regarding forecasts and warnings. The names are intended to reduce confusion in the event of concurrent storms in the same basin, generally once storms produce sustained wind speeds of more than 33 knots, names are assigned in order from predetermined lists depending on which basin they originate. Before the formal start of naming, tropical cyclones were named after places, the credit for the first usage of personal names for weather systems is generally given to the Queensland Government Meteorologist Clement Wragge, who named systems between 1887 and 1907. This system of naming weather systems subsequently fell into disuse for years after Wragge retired. Before the formal start of naming, tropical cyclones were named after places, objects. The credit for the first usage of names for weather systems is generally given to the Queensland Government Meteorologist Clement Wragge.
This system of naming weather systems subsequently fell into disuse for years after Wragge retired until it was revived in the latter part of World War II for the Western Pacific. Formal naming schemes have subsequently introduced for the North Atlantic, Central and Southern Pacific basins as well as the Australian region. This is especially important when multiple storms are occurring simultaneously in the ocean basin. Names are generally assigned in order from predetermined lists, once they produce one, standards vary from basin to basin, with some systems named in the Western Pacific when they develop into tropical depressions or enter PAGASAs area of responsibility. Within the Southern Hemisphere, systems must be characterized by a significant amount of gale-force winds occurring around the center before they are named, PAGASA retires the names of significant tropical cyclones when they have caused at least ₱1 billion in damage and/or have caused at least 300 deaths. There are six lists of names which rotate every six years and begin with the first letters A—W used, skipping Q and U, the names of significant tropical cyclones are retired from the lists, with a replacement name selected at the next World Meteorological Organizations Hurricane Committee meeting.
If all of the names on a list are used, storms are named after the letters of the Greek alphabet, significant tropical cyclones have their names retired from the lists and a replacement name selected at the next World Meteorological Organization Hurricane Committee. When a tropical depression intensifies into a storm to the north of the Equator between the coastline of the Americas and 140°W, it will be named by the NHC.
