Horace "Pepper" Martin

Horace Sawyer "Pepper" Martin jr. was an American ice hockey player head coach for New Hampshire. Pepper Martin attended the University of New Hampshire beginning in the late 1930s, graduating with a BA in business in 1941. In his final two years with the university he played for the men's ice hockey team as a defenseman. After graduating Martin joined the Army and served in the Fourth Infantry Regiment during World War II. After his time with the military was up he returned to his alma mater and coached the freshman ice hockey club in 1944. In 1951 he was named as head coach of the varsity team and set about trying to improve the team's fortunes; the biggest problem the team faced was playing without an artificial ice surface. In his first three plus years with the program it was a regular occurrence to cancel games when the weather turned and melted their playing surface. After having to cancel their final four scheduled games in 1954 plans were put in motion to solve the issue, in February 1955 the first artificial ice rink, the Harry C. Batchelder Rink, was opened on campus.

The rink was a boon for the Wildcats, who saw their winning percentage rise over the next three seasons, culminating in their first double-digit win campaign in 1957–58. Over his final five seasons with the Wildcats Martin lead his team to four 10+ win records and stepped down in 1962. While coaching the Wildcats Martin earned a master's degree in education and began using it in 1962 when he became an assistant principal at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School, a job he held until retiring in 1987. Martin was a reservist in the US Army, retiring with the rank of colonel in 1984, he was inducted into the UNH 100 club Hall of Fame in 1993. Ace Combat: Assault Horizon

Ace Combat: Assault Horizon is a spin-off installment of the Ace Combat arcade combat flight video game series. It was developed by Project Aces and published by Namco Bandai Games for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms in October 2011; the game was released on Microsoft Windows in January 2013 through Steam and Games for Windows – Live, with the latter notably being the final retail release for the platform shortly before its discontinuation. The major new gameplay feature is a system called "Dogfighting mode", which aims to increase the intensity and bring the action closer to the player; the game features two modes of control, named "Optimum", which prevents the player from doing full rolls, "Original", which gives the players full control of the aircraft. Co-operative missions and free-for-all Deathmatch have returned, but two new modes named "Capital Conquest" and "Domination" were added to the game; this is the first Ace Combat title with a plot written by non-Japanese writers, with noted author Jim DeFelice at the helm.

Set in 2015-2016, the game's story focuses on members of the United Nations' 108th Task Force, a joint NATO-Russia military organization assigned to quell a rebellion spreading over East Africa. Announced in August 2010, Assault Horizon continued the trend of Ace Combat games set in the real Earth rather than on "Strangereal", the setting for most Ace Combat games; as a result, the game takes place in various regions, including Miami, East Africa and Dubai. The game received a positive reception upon release, with critics praising the game's settings and the soundtrack. However, some critics criticized the game for being overly-scripted. More than 1.07 million copies were sold worldwide upon release. The major new gameplay feature is a system called "Close-Range Assault", which aims to increase the intensity and bring the action closer to the player, without the feeling of "shooting at faraway dots" seen in flight games. In the game, it is named "Dogfight Mode" for air-to-air battles and "Air Strike Mode" for air-to-ground targets.

They are not optional, as certain planes and ground targets cannot be destroyed without CRA. To initiate DFM, the player taps LB+RB on the Xbox 360 or L2+R2 on the PS3 when they have gotten close enough to the plane they are targeting. ASM is initiated by pressing the same buttons at specific points around the map. Players will pilot other aircraft types and assume other combat aviation functions. Certain missions may call for players to act as Black Hawk door gunners or weapons officers aboard the AC-130 Spectre gunship. Dogfight Mode has received numerous criticisms from those who have played previous Ace Combat games, saying that it has ruined the core gameplay of the game and eliminating freedom of style. Assault Horizon's multiplayer has been improved since Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation. Co-operative missions and free-for-all Deathmatch have returned, but two new modes have been added as well: "Capital Conquest" and "Domination". In Capital Conquest, two teams of 4v4 or 8v8 each take control of their own headquarters, must destroy the other team's headquarters.

First, the transmission base in the center of the map must come under one team's control. The first team to destroy the other's HQ wins. On the Ace Combat website, players can join an online faction, any points they receive individually while playing in a certain city will go towards that player's faction's control of that city; every six weeks, the faction with the most global control wins. In Domination, two teams of 4v4 or 8v8 battle it out to take control of three different bases in one single city. Taking control of a base is similar to the "King of the Hill" mode in other games; the opposing team must destroy the ground targets that now pop up around that base, they must stay inside for a certain amount of time to take it over. Every 60 seconds, points are awarded to 1 for each base they control at the time; the team with the most points wins. There are two control schemes in the game: "Optimum" and "Original." The new "Optimum" control scheme prevents the player from doing full rolls, to gain the stability needed to get the best of the new Close Range Assault system.

This is the default mode, used in most of the game's media and hasn't been seen in the series. The "Original" control scheme is similar to the controls in the previous titles under "Expert." It gives the players full control of the aircraft, with the left stick making it roll instead of turn. In addition to these settings, there are many options to tweak the controls and adapt to the player's style, it includes the choice of normal or reverse settings for the Pitch Control, Camera Control and Yaw. High-G turns return from Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation, as well as Auto Pilot if both shoulder buttons are held down. School organizational models

School organizational models are methods of structuring the curriculum and facilities for schools and universities. The organizing of teaching and learning has been structured since the first educational institutions were established. With greater specialization and expertise in a particular field of knowledge, a gathering of like-minded individuals, instructors clustered into specialized groups and departments within larger institutions; this structure spread during the 19th and 20th centuries with factory model schools and their "assembly-line" method of standardized curriculum and instructional methods. Beginning with the progressive educational movement in the early-mid 20th century, again with similar trends in the late 20th and early 21st century, alternative models structured towards deeper learning, higher retention, 21st century skills developed; the organizational models of schools fall into several main categories, including: departmental, project-based, small learning communities, school-within-a-school.

The departmental model is an organization where the departments and faculties of different academic subjects are separate and distinct. Each department may have its own head, responsible for different aspects of the department. Educators in that department may report to that head who in turn reports to a higher level administration, such as a school or college in a university, or directly to the main administration, such as the principal or head of a school. Educational institutions using the departmental model provide traditional education; this is a traditional form of organization with an emphasis on traditional classroom forms and organizations, the dominant organizing model of high or secondary schools and universities since the late 19th and early 20th century. This is reflected in the design of educational facilities with separate faculty buildings on a campus, or in a wing or cluster of standard classrooms or laboratories in a high school. Alternatively, the school may be organized with each academy providing its own core and specialty themed courses; this can be reflected in the design of educational facilities in several ways: a departmental-type configuration with specialty spaces located in separate areas, or along a single common area with each academy's themed spaces adjacent and observables by students in other academies. For example, a justice-themed academy may have a functioning country courtroom off of the commons, such as along the "Main Street" in the Jack E. Singley Academy. Chamoli Gopeshwar

Gopeshwar is a township in the Garhwal hills and a municipal board within Chamoli district. It is the administrative headquarters of the Chamoli District of Uttarakhand in India.
