Latest regional election[edit]

In the latest regional election, which took place on 31 May 2015, Vincenzo De Luca of the Democratic Party was elected over incumbent President Stefano Caldoro of Forza Italia. The Democrats were narrowly the largest party with 19.5% of the vote, but two civic lists close to De Luca got an additional combined 9.7%.

The Campania regional election of 2015 took place on 31 May 2015.[1] The centre-left candidate Vincenzo De Luca defeated incumbent governor Stefano Caldoro and became the new President of Campania.
