This is the eastern sector of the roof of the Ottagono (the Octagon), the Galleria's centre. The mosaic represents an allegory of Asia depicted as an idealized Oriental queen receiving gifts from her subjects. The northern sector features a similar allegory of Europe; the western one, of the Americas; the southern one, of Africa.
