It was number-one on the weekly Oricon Singles Chart, with 626,905 copies sold, becoming the best-selling single in Japan in October. It was the sixth best-selling single of 2015 in Japan according to the Oricon Yearly Singles Chart, with 686,539 copies sold. As of February 29, 2016 it had sold 729,690 copies. It was also number-one on the Billboard Japan Hot 100.

The Anthem of the Heart , abbreviated as Kokosake (ここさけ) and subtitled Beautiful Word Beautiful World, is a 2015 Japanese animated youth drama film produced by A-1 Pictures and released in 2015. The film was directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai and written by Mari Okada. Masayoshi Tanaka served as the chief animation director and designed the characters. The trio, under the creative team name of Super Peace Busters, had previously worked on Toradora! and Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day. The film was released in theaters in Japan on September 19, 2015.
