Monster High is a doll line and media franchise produced by Mattel. The web series, TV specials and full-length movies form part of this franchise.


Most of the main characters are children of the famous Universal Monsters. Monster High webisodes are available on the franchise's website which went live on May 5, 2010.[1][2] One new webisode was added each Friday from May 5 to July 30, 2010. You can access all webisodes till date on various online websites.[3]

The series follows the main ghoulfriends of the franchise such as Frankie Stein, Clawdeen Wolf, Draculaura, Lagoona Blue, Cleo de Nile, Ghoulia Yelps, and Abbey Bominable; and how they manage in the "Monster High" high school. Other characters appear throughout the series, such as the antagonist Toralei Stripe (a were-cat).

The Monster High webisodes are used as a promotional tool for the Mattel's franchise. New webisodes are often released every other Thursdays on the official Monster High website and YouTube channel, every Halloween, a TV special airs on Nickelodeon.

On October 2, a Volume 5 webisode was uploaded onto YouTube. Much like Volume 4, Volume 5 seems to have started before the previous volume has come to its end. Notable changes in Volume 5 so far are an increased running time, and a slight improvement in the animation itself, such as more varied facial expressions, and the exterior of Monster High's main building changing to look more like the school as seen in the movie specials.

They attempt to recruit zombie villain ghoul Moanica D'Kay, but she wants to lead the monsters to fight against the humans, the ghouls return to Monster High and Draculaura and Frankie decide to run for co-presidents of the student council. They are surprised when Moanica arrives at the school and decides to run against Frankie and Draculaura in an attempt to take over the school and enlist more monsters for her Zomboy army; in an attempt to show Draculaura that humans hate monsters, Moanica kidnaps Draculaura's favorite pop star Tash/Ari Hauntington to prove that Tash/Ari Hauntington will hate Draculaura for being a monster.

Dreams Are Just A Spark Away!

This is the second movie in the newly rebooted timeline. A new ghoul character, grey werewolf Silvi Timberwolf, is introduced. Believing that all humans are afraid of the dark, zombie bad-ghoul Moanica D'Kay hatches a plan to steal all the electricity and plunge the local town into darkness, using her army of zombies to unleash the destructive Night of the Zomboys. Meanwhile, encouraged by her best ghoulfriends, Clawdeen Wolf decides to act on her dream of opening a salon where everyone, monster and normie human alike, are welcome. Frankie becomes suspicious of Moanica and enlists the help of her new friend Twyla, daughter of the Boogey Man to ensure Clawdeen's Fierce salon is grand opening isn't ruined; in a secondary storyline, Raythe, Deuce, Silvi, Venus, Skelly, Bonesy, and Woolie decide to start a band, despite not being able agree on a name or even a musical style.
