Paenarthrobacter nicotinovorans , also known as Arthrobacter Nicotinovorans, is a Gram-positive and aerobic bacterium species from the genus of Arthrobacter.[2][3][4][5] Arthrobacter nicotinovorans has the ability to degrade atrazine, nicotine and creatine.[5][6][7] Arthrobacter nicotinovorans produces nicotine dehydrogenase[8]

Before the year 2016, this bacterium species was said to be a species of Arthrobacter genus, the bacterium species is reclassified in 2016 to be a member of Paenarthrobacter. Therefore it had a new name as Paenarthrobacter nicotinovorans.[9]
