São João dos Angolares is a small town on the east coast of São Tomé Island in São Tomé and Príncipe. It is the seat of the Caué District, its population is 2,132 (2008 est.).[1] The townspeople speak Angolar (Ngola), a unique creole language. Nearby localities include Granja.

The town is connected with the EN2 and is located 40 km south from the capital São Tomé and 30 km northeast of Porto Alegre.

The town's notable landmark is named Roça São João where a factory once operated now a historic landmark. Also the town has its own fishing port.

Sports[edit]

Its football (soccer) club is UDRA (União Desportiva Rei Amador), it also has its own field located nearby, many clubs of the district plays its matches at the field.
