It's UFC 2010 Undisputed![edit]

The game's name is UFC 2010 Undisputed, not UFC Undisputed 2010. Could someone change the name?!?!?!?!?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jyka (talkcontribs) 08:57, 19 December 2009 (UTC)

Roster[edit]

Why are there so many fighters on the roster already half of the fighters have no ref. and there for should not be on the roster.

Hardy and Belfort[edit]

Why are these two rumors when they are #1 contenders and therefore will be in the gamebecause they might beat the champion of the weight division and so if they are not in the game then people can't play as the champion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by C.m1994 (talkcontribs) 16:09, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

rumors?[edit]

I thought rumours were not allowed on wikipedia...? 174.44.44.43 (talk) 01:32, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Roster[edit]

I think it's time to create a roster section, because this game has already trailers and people are looking for it. Obviously champions are in, as well as top contenders. Others who surely are in are the ones who were CONFIRMED going to fight in main events during 2010 before the game announcement. Also, all of the fighters of the previous game that are still under contract and that are confirmed to fight in 2010 should be in. Matt Hughes vs Renzo Gracie should be in, but this fight was only recently announced and I don't know if there was time to create a Renzo model. Clay Guida was considered to be in the previous one, but due to his unrealistic hair he was cut off. Maybe with this updated version he may get in. Randy Couture is part of EA Sports MMA and he never signed over his likeness to the Ultimate Fighting Championship for use in video games, this is why Couture will not be in any upcoming UFC Undisputed releases. He's a creonte.

Confirmed fighters (champions, contenders from previous game or that appear on trailers):

  • Light - B.J. Penn, Frank Edgar, Joe Stevenson, Kenny Florian, Joe Lauzon, Mac Danzig, Chris Lytle, Mark Bocek, Spencer Fisher, Gray Maynard, Nate Diaz, Thiago Tavares, Efrain Escudero, Diego Sanchez, Tyson Griffin, Sean Sherk, Ross Pearson, Jim Miller (NEW)
  • Welter - Georges St. Pierre, Dan Hardy (NEW), Josh Koscheck, Ben Saunders, Kyle Bradley, Thiago Alves, Jon Fitch, Marcus Davis, Dustin Hazelett (NEW), Paul Daley (NEW), Matt Serra, Frank Trigg (not confirmed as he also signed with EA Sports MMA), Anthony Johnson, Mike Swick, Martin Kampmann, Amir Sadollah, James Wilks, Paulo Thiago (NEW), Matt Hughes, Carlos Condit (NEW), Jake Ellenberger (NEW)
  • Middle - Anderson Silva, Vitor Belfort (NEW), Demian Maia, Ricardo Almeida, Kendall Grove, Nate Marquardt, Chael Sonnen (NEW), Wanderlei Silva, Michael Bisping, James Irvin, Chris Leben, Yushin Okami, Rich Franklin, Drew McFedries, Yoshihiro Akiyama (NEW), Dan Miller (NEW)
  • Light Heavy - Lyoto Machida, Mauricio Rua, Chuck Liddell, Forrest Griffin, Tito Ortiz, Quinton Jackson, Keith Jardine, Ryan Bader, Stephan Bonnar, Rashad Evans, Thiago Silva, Mark Coleman, Brandon Vera, Jon Jones (NEW), Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (NEW), Luiz Cane (NEW), Vladimir Matyushenko (not confirmed as he signed with EA Sports MMA too)
  • Heavy - Brock Lesnar, Frank Mir, Cain Velasquez, Kimbo Slice (NEW), Junior dos Santos (NEW), Shane Carwin (NEW), Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Mirko Cro Cop, Ben Rothwell (NEW), Gabriel Gonzaga, Cheick Kongo, Antoni Hardonk, Heath Herring, Roy Nelson (NEW)

Maybe some of these fighters would also be in; I'm betting on Takanori Gomi (former PRIDE champion) but I would also like Matt Mitrione (strange The Ultimate Fighter 10 contestant wich I would love to use as body bag), Clay Guida (crazy bad ass caveman) and Rolles & Renzo Gracie (legendary Jiu-Jitsu family):

  • Light - Rafaello Oliveira, John Gunderson, Cole Miller, Dan Lauzon, Duane Ludwig, Sam Stout, Justin Buchholz, Melvin Guillard, Ronnys Torres, Philipe Nover, Rob Emerson, George Sotiropoulos, Terry Etim, Rafael dos Anjos, Jeremy Stephens, Takanori Gomi, Gleison Tibau, Caol Uno, Andre Winner, Dennis Siver, Nik Lentz, Evan Dunham, Josh Neer, Kurt Pellegrino, Shane Nelson, Aaron Riley, Clay Guida
  • Welter - Mike Pyle, Jacob Volkmann, Brian Foster, Matt Brown, Matthew Riddle, Ricardo Funch, DeMarques Johnson, Jonathan Goulet, TJ Grant, Johny Hendricks, John Howard, Mike Guymon, Rory MacDonald, Rick Story, Jesse Lennox, Yoshiyuki Yoshida, Phil Baroni, Brad Blackburn, Mike Pierce, Renzo Gracie
  • Middle - Mark Munoz, Ryan Jensen, C.B. Dollaway, Goran Reljic, Patrick Côté, Alan Belcher, Lucio Linhares, Nate Quarry, Jorge Rivera, Alessio Sakara, Nick Catone, Jesse Forbes, Gerald Harris, John Salter, Jay Silva, Tom Lawlor, Aaron Simpson, Yoshihiro Akiyama, Jake Rosholt, Denis Kang
  • Light Heavy - Brian Stann, Phil Davis, Elvis Sinosic, Chris Haseman, Krzysztof Soszynski, James Te-Huna, Igor Pokrajac, Rodney Wallace, Jared Hamman, Elliot Marshall, Eric Schafer, Jason Brilz
  • Heavy - Gilbert Yvel, Tim Hague, Chris Tuchscherer, Mostapha Al-Turk, Rolles Gracie, Matt Mitrione, Stefan Struve, Paul Buentello, Chase Gormley, Brendan Schaub

The article should have a section mentioning the fighters who are not returning from 2009 edition and the reason why:

  • Light - Rich Clementi (cut off), Hermes França (cut off), Roger Huerta (went to Strikeforce)
  • Welter - Matt Arroyo (cut off), Josh Burkman (cut off), Karo Parisyan (cut off)
  • Middle - Dan Henderson (went to Strikeforce), Thales Leites (cut off), Jason MacDonald (cut off), Evan Tanner (died)
  • Light Heavy - Houston Alexander (cut off), Tim Boetsch (cut off), Wilson Gouveia (cut off), Kazuhiro Nakamura (cut off)
  • Heavy - Andrei Arlovski (went to Strikeforce), Justin McCully (cut off), Eddie Sanchez (went to Bellator), Tim Sylvia (went to Adrenaline MMA), Fabricio Werdum (cut off and later went to Strikeforce)

00:24, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

....and do you have a source for this that is more than rumour? The roster will not go up until we have an OFFICIAL source stating which fighters are in. Paralympiakos (talk) 00:28, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

The only source I have is the LOGIC and the trailers. Saying Brock Lesnar and Lyoto Machida are not in is like saying Captain America will fight Barack Obama at UFC 116!! It's logic that UFC will not let top ten fighters like Minotouro, Luiz Cane and Paulo Thiago out because they want to show to the fans AND Strikeforce that they got the best fighters of the world. I'm pretty sure the fighters above are the correct ones BUT I understand you and the wikipedia rules, so if you want a source I think a link for the trailers will confirm the fighters. Watch this!

So now you can add:

  • Light - Kenny Florian, Joe Stevenson
  • Welter - Josh Koscheck
  • Middle - Anderson Silva, Demian Maia, Nate Marquardt
  • Light Heavy - Chuck Liddell, Quinton Jackson, Tito Ortiz, Forrest Griffin
  • Heavy - Frank Mir, Cain Velasquez, Kimbo Slice, Junior dos Santos

Happy now? And for the Randy Couture, Frank Trigg and Vladmir comentary just check EA Sports MMA. I think the reason Couture is never in the games should be explained as well as why some characters of the last game are not returning. I loved to kick ass with champions Henderson and Arlovski and I hope they come with new cool fighters to make up these losses. Try to understand: this game will only be released in May, so until then people will be looking for it. We should add all the avaiable information INCLUDING the roster wich was already partially revealed in trailers. 200.222.58.52 (talk) 20:54, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

I know about Couture, Trigg et al
However, we cannot add rumours to the page. Your theory about the likes of Little Nog, Cane etc being in the game holds no value whatsoever. You'd have thought that Guida would be in the last game, but the clipping issues prevented him. Who is to say that other errors won't prevent the likes of Cane, Thiago being in the game?
By all means, add the fighters who appeared in the trailer, as the fact that they're in it suggests that they're playable characters who won't be removed. However, we cannot add random fighters because we THINK/hope they'll be in the game. Thank you. Paralympiakos (talk) 21:17, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

I've added the roster and put what was already writen in a Gameplay section. Now there's info on the EA Sports MMA controversy with a source. I think it's ok by now, but as new information is revealed I will edit this further. Can't wait to play this... Kimbo vs Lesnar will be epic!! 200.222.58.52 (talk) 00:39, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

many of these fighters are not even at the claimed source. it dosent matter if they even have a belt if there is no proof they are in. shouldn't somebody remove the uncomfirmed fighters like brock lesnar or rampage. 174.44.51.68 (talk) 19:38, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

I deleted the unsourced fighters on the roster. Don't add fighters unless they are confirmed. 174.44.51.68 (talk) 05:26, 2 February 2010 (UTC)

If people want a roster of fighters that will be in the game? Great! Provide a reference that offers actual proof the person listed is in the video game. BTW, a promotional video showing human fighters is not proof they are in the game. Proof could be a video with game play footage or even better articles stating that x fighter will be in t he game. --TreyGeek (talk) 13:59, 4 February 2010 (UTC)

The end of this video has gameplay http://www.ufcundisputed.com/#/home 174.44.51.68 (talk) 01:32, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

It has game play of Anderson silva, Forrest Griffin, Frank Mir, Cain Velasquez, Amir Sadollah, Josh Koscheck, Chuck lidell, Tito Ortiz, Junior Dos Santos, and Kimbo Slice 174.44.51.68 (talk) 01:41, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

::Ok, hopefully this ends the matter. I've added a note to say that there is no official roster yet and added a hidden message that will hopefully deter some vandals, for now, I've added the fighters that are pictured in the gameplay section of the roster; that means that Joe Stevenson is not added to the roster yet, until we have confirmed sightings of his 2010 character. I trust this ends the matter, at least for now Paralympiakos (talk) 02:17, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

This doesn't really matter, consensus at WP:VG is to not include roster lists. The most you can do is list like 3 or 4 fighters in the game (as an example of some of the fighters). If you disagree, bring it up at WT:VG. TJ Spyke 16:56, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

It's half-roster related, but Gamestop is offering four DLC characters for pre-orders, as they did for Undisputed 2009, the first is James McSweeney from Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights. I mention it as it may be relevant information, being a pre-order bonus. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.38.14.155 (talk) 19:40, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

people are adding unsourced fighters again! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.44.93.39 (talk) 02:30, 10 March 2010 (UTC)

Moderation sucks[edit]

The moderator is under bureaucratic problems.Everytime you and your lil friends erase roster section. Why so serius men? Is not a problem set a roster section with the fighters are in the game, you view the newest trailer of ufc undisputed 2010,kimbo,mir,anderson,forrest will be in the game. The public want to know wich fighters are in the game for now.And another fighters are reveleted after. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.83.208.143 (talk) 17:18, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

-UFC 2010 Undisputed-UFC 2010 Undisputed — I believe that Wikipedia's article naming conventions suggest that this article should be moved back to it's previous title, without the dashes. I am unable to perform the move because the other page already exists, needing admin's attention. -—TreyGeek (talk) 14:04, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

Support and Quick Close. A user moved the article without debate[1]. It's clear that the current title isn't acceptable. A quick move back would be appropriate. --Labattblueboy (talk) 15:26, 19 February 2010 (UTC)TreyGeek, I suggest you approach

Why has this been changed? Wasn't the title was correct before. As far as I know, the naming style has altered from the 2009 version, it was UFC 2009 Undisputed, but this year I thought it was UFC Undisputed 2010. Paralympiakos (talk) 16:58, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

The game's official website says UFC 2010 Undisputed (although I think it does sound better the other way). Support as the current name is not only wrong, but it violates MOS. TJ Spyke 23:09, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

They want this to become the roster section. A roster has been removed numerous times. See above, from discussion by TJ Spyke. Apparently, WP:VG discourages video game rosters, so they have been removed numerous times. Paralympiakos (talk) 22:49, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

Why are these dudes in?[edit]

So Paul Daley and Antonio Rogério Nogueira are not in? Hahahahahahahaha!!! Paralympiakos was right!!! UFC doesn't care to include top ranked fighters in their video-games!!

Now, just one question that I think its interesting: why fighters who are no longer in contract with UFC are still in this game taking the part that could be of a top contender? Anyone knows? I think its because they are too lazy to create new fighters and so decided to include the ones from the previous game... but then, maybe UFC is planning to recruit these fighters before the year ends, so they included them in the game. Is UFC planning the return of Arlovski and Werdum in 2010? Just curious...

But this is my opinion about the roster:

Who should not be in:

  • Andrei Arlovski (he's no longer in the UFC)
  • Eddie Sanchez (what the hell is this guy doing here?)
  • Fabricio Werdum (will not return too soon, only if he defeats Fedor I think... but that would be a miracle!!)
  • Heath Herring (stopped fighting and now is TRYING to be an actor)
  • Marcus Jones (this is a joke!!! How can this retired dude be in and the guy who knocked him out isn't!)
  • Dan Henderson (Hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!)
  • Denis Kang (was fired last year)
  • Wilson Gouveia (was fired last year)
  • Karo Parisyan (fucked his career and was fired)
  • Hermes França (was fired and retired)
  • Justin McCully (was fired and retired)

Who should be in:

  • Mark Bocek (good fighter that is a while in the UFC)
  • Ben Saunders (same thing)
  • Sam Stout (same thing)
  • Alessio Sakara (same thing)
  • James Irvin (same thing)
  • Thiago Tavares (same thing)
  • Renzo Gracie (MMA legend)
  • Takanori Gomi (MMA legend)
  • Mac Danzig (TUF 6 winner)
  • Matt Mitrione (this guy should be in Marcus Jones place!)
  • Antônio Rogério Nogueira (ranked #6 Light Heavyweight by Sherdog)
  • Paul Daley (ranked #7 Welterweight by Sherdog)
  • Jake Shields (DOWNLOADABLE)
  • James Toney (DOWNLOADABLE)
  • TUF 11 Winner (DOWNLOADABLE)

Changes

  • Playable Dana White and Bruce Buffer
  • Roy Nelson should be included fully, not downloadable
  • An "absolute" category where there's no weight classes, so I can make BJ Penn vs Brock Lesnar and etc.
  • Downloadable Ken Shamrock and Randy Couture, so we can have all legends

*Zuffa had fighters sign contracts that allowed Zuffa and the UFC which means they can be used in the games regardless of were they are now! As for the fighters that appear in your "should be in the game" list. Most of those fighters are already in the game.... James Irvin, Thiago Tavares, Mac Danzig are all appear in shots of the game and have been confirmed.
*Jake Shields should not be in the game since he has not seen signed with the UFC and after getting that win over Henderson still has 1 fight left on his Strikeforce contract.
*Both Randy Couture and Ken Shamrock have had legal issues with Zuffa and the UFC so the likliness of seeing them in the game is very slim.
*The first and third thing you mention in your "changes" section are all in the UFC games prior to UFC Undisputed '09.... those games were all horrible. Dana White himself has even said that every UFC game before Undisputed '09 was horrible. Why would THQ go and make the same mistake as their predecessors
*These are all things that would much better suit the forums ( http://community.ufcundisputed.com/forum ) for the video game not Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.16.219.51 (talk) 10:05, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Ironic[edit]

I find it very ironic that one of the the only things that was accurate on the Wiki page (before the game came out) was the roster. Yet the British guy would only delete that section. Then it turns out that the roster section was the most accurate part of the page the whole time! Who ever is in charge of the deciding on Wikipedia moderators needs to get rid of this British guy!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.16.219.51 (talk) 08:57, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

biased article[edit]

this article only posts the initial reviews and completely ignores the massive problems with the game as reported by users. these bugs are significant as they render the game UNPLAYABLE. please check any undisputed forum. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.180.241.183 (talk) 19:01, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
