Frank Schilling
–
Frank T. Schilling is a Cayman Islands based Internet-investor and the founder of Uniregistry Corporation. A generic top-level domain registry operator, Schilling has been a participant in the evolution of the commercial domain name space. His registry, registrar, domain re-sale marketplace and assorted name holdings serve customers at every level of todays domain industry, the eldest son of German/Canadian immigrants, Schilling claims he was born in the right time to become an early Web adopter. He began registering single domain registrations at the turn of the millennium, the concept of trading generic names for financial gain was considered far fetched during that era. Today participants in this space are known as domainers or commercial registrants. Frank Schilling patented the Generic Top Level Domain Rerouting System in 2001 and he began domain blogging on Seven Mile in 2007. David Kesmodels 2008 book The Domain Game touches on the history of Schilling, in 2012, Schilling was revealed by CNET as the backer behind Uniregistry and is now the operator of 25 new gTLDs. By 2015, Uniregistry had grown to become a top 20 registrar with more than 1.5 million domain names under management

ICANN
–
ICANN performs the actual technical maintenance work of the central Internet address pools and DNS root zone registries pursuant to the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority function contract. The numbering facilities ICANN manages include the Internet Protocol address spaces for IPv4 and IPv6, ICANN also maintains registries of Internet Protocol identifiers. ICANN was created on September 18,1998, and incorporated on September 30,1998 and it is headquartered in the Playa Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles. In 1997 Postel testified before Congress that this had come about as a task to this research work. The Information Sciences Institute was funded by the U. S. Department of Defense, as was SRI Internationals Network Information Center, which also performed some assigned name functions. As the Internet grew and expanded globally, the U. S. Department of Commerce initiated a process to establish a new organization to perform the IANA functions. The proposed rule making, or Green Paper, was published in the Federal Register on February 20,1998, NTIA received more than 650 comments as of March 23,1998, when the comment period closed. ICANN was formed in response to this policy, ICANN managed the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority under contract to the United States Department of Commerce and pursuant to an agreement with the IETF. ICANN was incorporated in California on September 30,1998, with entrepreneur and it is a nonprofit public benefit corporation organized under the California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law for charitable and public purposes. ICANN was established in California due to the presence of Jon Postel, ICANN formerly operated from the same Marina del Rey building where Postel formerly worked, which is home to an office of the Information Sciences Institute at the University of Southern California. However, ICANNs headquarters is now located in the nearby Playa Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles and they were also required to be financially independent from ICANN. On July 26,2006, the United States government renewed the contract with ICANN for performance of the IANA function for a one to five years. The context of ICANNs relationship with the U. S. government was clarified on September 29,2006 when ICANN signed a new Memorandum of Understanding with the United States Department of Commerce and this document gave the DOC oversight over some of the ICANN operations. During July 2008, the DOC reiterated a statement that it has no plans to transition management of the authoritative root zone file to ICANN. The letter also stresses the separate roles of the IANA and VeriSign, on September 30,2009, ICANN signed an agreement with the DOC that confirmed ICANNs commitment to a multistakeholder governance model, but did not remove it from DOC oversight and control. On March 10,2016, ICANN and the DOC signed a historic, culminating agreement to finally remove ICANN and IANA from the control, on October 1,2016, ICANN was freed from U. S. government oversight. During September and October 2003, ICANN played a role in the conflict over VeriSigns wild card DNS service Site Finder. After an open letter from ICANN issuing an ultimatum to VeriSign, later endorsed by the Internet Architecture Board, after this action, VeriSign filed a lawsuit against ICANN on February 27,2004, claiming that ICANN had exceeded its authority

Cayman Islands
–
The Cayman Islands is a British Overseas Territory in the western Caribbean Sea. Its population is approximately 60,000, and its capital is George Town, the Cayman Islands are considered to be part of the geographic Western Caribbean Zone as well as the Greater Antilles. The territory is considered a major world offshore financial haven for many wealthy individuals. The Cayman Islands remained largely uninhabited until the 17th century, the first recorded permanent inhabitant of the Cayman Islands, Isaac Bodden, was born on Grand Cayman around 1661. He was the grandson of the original settler named Bodden who was one of Oliver Cromwells soldiers at the taking of Jamaica in 1655. England took formal control of the Cayman Islands, along with Jamaica, following several unsuccessful attempts at settlement, a permanent English-speaking population in the islands dates from the 1730s. With settlement, after the first royal land grant by the Governor of Jamaica in 1734, many were brought to the islands from Africa, this is evident today with the majority of native Caymanians being of African and English descent. The results of the first census taken in the islands in 1802 showed the population on Grand Cayman to be 933 with 545 of those inhabitants being enslaved, slavery was abolished in the Cayman Islands in 1833. At the time of abolition, there were over 950 Blacks of African ancestry enslaved by 116 white families of English ancestry. The islands continued to be governed as part of the Colony of Jamaica until 1962, the Cayman Islands historically have been a tax-exempt destination. On 8 February 1794, the Caymanians rescued the crews of a group of ten merchant ships, including HMS Convert, the ships had struck a reef and run aground during rough seas. Legend has it that King George III rewarded the island with a never to introduce taxes as compensation for their generosity. While this remains a legend, the story is not true. However, whatever the history, in practice the government of the Cayman Islands has always relied on indirect, the islands have never levied income tax, capital gains tax, or any wealth tax, making them a popular tax haven. On 11 September 2004 the island of Grand Cayman, which lies largely unprotected at sea level, was hit by Hurricane Ivan, an estimated 83% of the dwellings on the island were damaged including 4% requiring complete reconstruction. A reported 70% of all dwellings suffered severe damage from flooding or wind, another 26% sustained minor damage from partial roof removal, low levels of flooding, or impact with floating or wind driven hurricane debris. Power, water and communications were disrupted for months in areas as Ivan was the worst hurricane to hit the islands in 86 years. Grand Cayman began a rebuilding process and within two years its infrastructure was nearly returned to pre-hurricane status.23 years

Newport Beach is a seaside city in Orange County, California, United States. Its population was 85,287 at the 2010 census, Newport Beach is also home to Newport Harbor. The citys median family income and property values consistently place high in national rankings, the Upper Bay of Newport is a canyon, which was carved by a stream in the Pleistocene period. The lower bay of Newport was formed later by sand that was brought along by ocean currents. Before settlers reached the coasts of California, the Newport area, Indian shells and relics can still be found today scattered throughout the area. Though, throughout the 1800s, settlers began to settle the area due to the availability of land, the State of California sold acre-plots of land for $1 a piece in the Newport area. James Irvine, after hearing the news, quickly traveled from his home in San Francisco to the San Joaquin Ranch. In 1905 city development increased when Pacific Electric Railway established a southern terminus in Newport connecting the beach with downtown Los Angeles, in 1906, the scattered settlements were incorporated as the City of Newport Beach. Settlements filled in on the Peninsula, West Newport, Newport Island, Balboa Island, in 1923 Corona del Mar was annexed and in 2002 Newport Coast, East Santa Ana Heights and San Joaquin Hills, were annexed. In 2008, after a battle with the city of Costa Mesa. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has an area of 53.0 square miles. 23.8 square miles of it is land and 29.2 square miles of it is water. Areas of Newport Beach include Corona del Mar, Balboa Island, Balboa Peninsula, Lido Peninsula, Newport Coast, San Joaquin Hills, and Santa Ana Heights, Newport Harbor is a semi-artificial harbor that was formed by dredging Newport Bay estuary during the early 1900s. Newport Harbor once supported maritime industries such as boatbuilding, shipbuilding, and commercial fishing and its shores are occupied mostly by private homes and private docks. With approximately 9,000 boats, Newport Harbor is one of the largest recreational boat harbors on the U. S. west coast and its a popular destination for all boating activities, including sailing, fishing, rowing, canoeing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Newport Bay is divided by the Pacific Coast Highway bridge, which is too low for most sailboats, North of the bridge is referred to as Upper Newport Bay, or the Back Bay. South of the bridge is commonly called Lower Newport Bay, or Newport Harbor, however the Back Bay also has harbor facilities, especially the marina and launch ramp at The Dunes. West Coast of the United States
–
The West Coast or Pacific Coast is the coastline along which the contiguous Western United States meets the North Pacific Ocean. As a region, this term most often refers to the states of California. More specifically, it refers to an area defined on the east by the Cascade Range, Sierra Nevada and Mojave Desert, the U. S. Census groups the five states of California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and Hawaii together as the Pacific States division. As of the 2010 Census, the population of the Census Bureaus Pacific Region was approximately 47.8 million – about 15. 3% of US population. The largest city on the west coast of the United States is Los Angeles, small isolated groups of hunter-gatherers migrated alongside herds of large herbivores far into Alaska. Between 16,500 BCE and 13,500 BCE, ice-free corridors developed along the Pacific coast and valleys of North America, Alaska Natives, indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast, and California indigenous peoples eventually descended from the Paleo-Indians. They developed various languages and established trade routes, later, Spanish, British, French, Russian, and American explorers and settlers began colonizing the area. The West Coast of the United States has a climate in its Northern edge towards the Canada–US border. The coastline sees significantly mild temperatures when compared to the areas during summer. In far Northern California there is a difference of 17 °C between Eurekas and Willow Creek in spite of only 25 miles separating the locations and Willow Creek being located at a 500 metres elevation, coastal fog is also prevalent in keeping shoreline temperatures cool. Since the West Coast has been populated by more recently than the East Coast. Additionally, its demographic composition underlies its cultural difference from the rest of the United States. Californias history first as a major Spanish colony, and later Mexican territory, has given the lower West Coast a distinctive Hispanic tone, which it also shares with the rest of the Southwest. Similarly, two of the three cities in which Asian Americans have concentrated, San Francisco and Los Angeles, are located on the West Coast, San Franciscos Chinatown, the oldest in North America, is a vibrant cultural center. The West Coast also has a large share of green cities within the United States. Other writers, like Jean Baudrillard, Mike Davis, and Umberto Eco, have made related statements on Californian culture, in the Northwest, Portland and Seattle are both considered among the coffee capitals of the world. While Starbucks originated in Seattle, both towns are known for coffee roasters and independent coffeeshops. In the Pacific Northwest at large, which includes the Canadian west coast, the culture has significantly shaped by the environment, especially by its forests, mountains

Donuts (company)
–
Donuts Inc. is a start-up company that was created to apply and run new generic top-level domains as made possible by ICANNs gTLD expansion program. It was co-founded by Paul Stahura, Jonathon Nevett, Richard Tindal, in April 2011, the company was in stealth mode and raising capital, based on the companys filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Donuts raised US$1 million equity financing. The second round of funding was earmarked specifically for gTLD auctions to resolve its 158 contention sets, the companys headquarters is located in Bellevue, Washington. In September 2012, Donuts was ranked #14 in The Wall Street Journals Top 50 Start-Ups for 2012 and it was also the newest start-up on the list. On June 5,2012, Donuts announced that it submitted applications for 307 gTLDs, including IDN TLDs, according to Daniel Schindler, one of Donuts four co-founders, the company originally came up with a list of 3,000 prospective domain names. He said, We made a long list of terms, in multiple languages. We created our own way of valuing the gTLDs. But 307 is still a lot, obviously, at one point, an article from Bloomberg reported that the company plans to apply for 10 gTLDs. Mason Cole, the companys Vice President of Communications and industry relations explained that the reporter from Bloomberg misunderstood or had miscommunication with Stahura and he said that at the time of the interview, the exact number of the gTLDs to be applied for hadnt been finalized. Mr. Cole also said that the company is prepared to operate all the 307 gTLDs. In terms of property rights protection, the company said that it created rights protection mechanisms for new gTLDs. According to Stahura, The Internet is an engine of information, ideas and commerce, Donuts intends to preserve that openness for all users, not operate a ‘by invitation only’ section of the Internet. Donuts signed a partnership with Demand Media in pursuit of certain gTLDs. According to a statement, under the agreement, Demand Media has the right to acquire some of the approved gTLDs applied for by Donuts. Furthermore, Demand Medias wholly owned subsidiary, Demand Media Europe Limited, in October 2012, Donuts announced that they would use Architelos NameSentry software-as-a-service to detect and mitigate domain name abuse. The patent-pending NameSentry application protects new gTLDs from phishing, malware, spam, botnets and it is the first independent, third-party resource of its kind for the domain name industry. During ICANN45 in Toronto, auction expert Peter Cramton outlined a private gTLD auction model as a solution for resolving 158 new gTLD contention sets, the cost of losing an ICANN auction is greater than the cost of losing a private auction, Nevett said. If you lose an ICANN auction you get nothing, zero and it doesnt hurt as much to lose, so the theory is the second-place guys wont stretch as much

The Daily Telegraph
–
It was founded by Arthur B. Sleigh in 1855 as The Daily Telegraph and Courier, the papers motto, Was, is, and will be, appears in the editorial pages and has featured in every edition of the newspaper since April 19,1858. The paper had a circulation of 460,054 in December 2016 and its sister paper, The Sunday Telegraph, which started in 1961, had a circulation of 359,287 as of December 2016. The Daily Telegraph has the largest circulation for a newspaper in the UK. The two sister newspapers are run separately, with different editorial staff, but there is cross-usage of stories, articles published in either may be published on the Telegraph Media Groups www. telegraph. co. uk website, under the title of The Telegraph. However, critics, including an editor, accuse it of being unduly influenced by advertisers. The Daily Telegraph and Courier was founded by Colonel Arthur B, Sleigh in June 1855 to air a personal grievance against the future commander-in-chief of the British Army, Prince George, Duke of Cambridge. Joseph Moses Levy, the owner of The Sunday Times, agreed to print the newspaper, the paper cost 2d and was four pages long. Nevertheless, the first edition stressed the quality and independence of its articles and journalists, however, the paper was not a success, and Sleigh was unable to pay Levy the printing bill. Levy took over the newspaper, his aim being to produce a newspaper than his main competitors in London. The same principle should apply to all other events—to fashion, to new inventions, in 1876, Jules Verne published his novel Michael Strogoff, whose plot takes place during a fictional uprising and war in Siberia. In 1937, the newspaper absorbed The Morning Post, which espoused a conservative position. Originally William Ewart Berry, 1st Viscount Camrose, bought The Morning Post with the intention of publishing it alongside The Daily Telegraph, for some years the paper was retitled The Daily Telegraph and Morning Post before it reverted to just The Daily Telegraph. As an result, Gordon Lennox was monitored by MI5, in 1939, The Telegraph published Clare Hollingworths scoop that Germany was to invade Poland. In November 1940, with Fleet Street subjected to almost daily bombing raids by the Luftwaffe, The Telegraph started printing in Manchester at Kemsley House, Manchester quite often printed the entire run of The Telegraph when its Fleet Street offices were under threat. The name Kemsley House was changed to Thomson House in 1959, in 1986 printing of Northern editions of the Daily and Sunday Telegraph moved to Trafford Park and in 2008 to Newsprinters at Knowsley, Liverpool. During the Second World War, The Daily Telegraph covertly helped in the recruitment of code-breakers for Bletchley Park, the ability to solve The Telegraphs crossword in under 12 minutes was considered to be a recruitment test. The competition itself was won by F. H. W. Hawes of Dagenham who finished the crossword in less than eight minutes, both the Camrose and Burnham families remained involved in management until Conrad Black took control in 1986

A web browser displays a web page on a monitor or mobile device, the web page is what displays, but the term also refers to a computer file, usually written in HTML or comparable markup language. Web browsers coordinate the various web resource elements for the web page, such as style sheets, scripts. Typical web pages provide hypertext that includes a bar or a sidebar menu to other web pages via hyperlinks. On a network, a web browser can retrieve a web page from a web server. On a higher level, the web server may restrict access to only a network such as a corporate intranet or it provides access to the World Wide Web. On a lower level, the web browser uses the Hypertext Transfer Protocol to make such requests, dynamic website pages help the browser to enhance the web page through user input to the server. Web pages usually include information as to the colors of text and backgrounds, an HTTP1.1 web server will maintain a connection with the browser until all related resources have been requested and provided. Web browsers usually render images along with the text and other material on the web page. These scripts may run on the client computer, if the user allows, a web browser can have a Graphical User Interface, like Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Opera, or can be text-based, like Lynx or Links. Web users with disabilities often use assistive technologies and adaptive strategies to access web pages, disabled and able-bodied users may disable the download and viewing of images and other media, to save time, network bandwidth or merely to simplify their browsing experience. Users of mobile devices often have restricted displays and bandwidth, anyone may prefer not to use the fonts, font sizes, styles and color schemes selected by the web page designer and may apply their own CSS styling to the page. Web content
–
Web content is the textual, visual, or aural content that is encountered as part of the user experience on websites. It may include—among other things—text, images, sounds, videos, in Information Architecture for the World Wide Web, Lou Rosenfeld and Peter Morville write, We define content broadly as the stuff in your Web site. This may include documents, data, applications, e-services, images, audio and video files, personal Web pages, archived e-mail messages, and we include future stuff as well as present stuff. While the Internet began with a U. S, but it was not until Mosaic, the forerunner of the famous Netscape Navigator, appeared that the Internet become more than a file serving system. The use of hypertext, hyperlinks, and a model of sharing information, introduced with Mosaic and later Netscape, helped to define web content. Today, we largely categorize websites as being a type of website according to the content a website contains. When it was possible for any person to write and own a Mosaic page and it was possible for anyone to own a Web page or a home page which in many cases the website contained many physical pages in spite of being called a page. People often cited their home page to provide credentials, links to anything that a person supported, even though the web may be the resource we commonly use to get to particular locations online, many different protocols are invoked to access embedded information. When we are given an address, such as https, //www. youtube. com, we expect to see a range of web pages, but in each page we have embedded tool to watch video clips. Even though we may embed various protocols within web pages, the web page composed of HTML content is still the dominant way whereby we share content. And while there are many web pages with localized proprietary structure, blogs are a type of website that contain mainly web pages authored in HTML. Millions of people use online, a blog is now the new home page, that is. Blogs have become a powerful weapon used by content marketers who desire to increase their sites traffic, as well as. In fact, new research from Technorati shows that blogs now outrank social networks for consumer influence, Search engine sites are composed mainly of HTML content, but also has a typically structured approach to revealing information. A Search Engine Results Page displays a heading, usually the name of the engine itself. The list of web addresses are listed by their order of relevance according to the search query, searchers typically type in keywords or keyword phrases to find or search what they are looking for on the web. Discussion boards are composed of textual content organized by HTML or some variation that can be viewed in a web browser. The driving mechanism of a board is the fact that users are registered

Web hosting service
–
A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to make their website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server owned or leased for use by clients, as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for other servers located in their center, called colocation. Until 1991, the Internet was restricted to use only. for research and education in the sciences, and was used for email, telnet, FTP and USENET traffic - but only a tiny number of web pages. The World Wide Web protocols had only just been written and not until the end of 1993 would there be a web browser for Mac or Windows computers. Even after there was some opening up of access, the situation was confused until 1995. To host a website on the internet, an individual or company would need their own computer or server. The owners of the websites, also called webmasters would be able to create a website that would be hosted on the web hosting services server and published to the web by the web hosting service. As the number of users on the World Wide Web grew, by 1995, companies such as GeoCities, Angelfire and Tripod were offering free hosting. Internet hosting services can run Web servers, the scope of web hosting services varies greatly. The most basic is web page and small-scale file hosting, where files can be uploaded via File Transfer Protocol or a Web interface, the files are usually delivered to the Web as is or with minimal processing. Many Internet service providers offer this service free to subscribers, individuals and organizations may also obtain Web page hosting from alternative service providers. Free web hosting service is offered by different companies with limited services, sometimes supported by advertisements, single page hosting is generally sufficient for personal web pages. Personal web site hosting is typically free, advertisement-sponsored, or inexpensive, business web site hosting often has a higher expense depending upon the size and type of the site. Many large companies that are not Internet service providers need to be connected to the web to send email, files. The company may use the computer as a website host to provide details of their goods, a complex site calls for a more comprehensive package that provides database support and application development platforms. These facilities allow customers to write or install scripts for applications like forums, also, Secure Sockets Layer is typically used for websites that wish to keep the data transmitted more secure. Web server
–
A web server is a computer system that processes requests via HTTP, the basic network protocol used to distribute information on the World Wide Web. The term can refer to the system, or specifically to the software that accepts. The primary function of a web server is to store, process, the communication between client and server takes place using the Hypertext Transfer Protocol. Pages delivered are most frequently HTML documents, which may include images, the resource is typically a real file on the servers secondary storage, but this is not necessarily the case and depends on how the web server is implemented. While the primary function is to serve content, an implementation of HTTP also includes ways of receiving content from clients. This feature is used for submitting web forms, including uploading of files, many generic web servers also support server-side scripting using Active Server Pages, PHP, or other scripting languages. This means that the behaviour of the web server can be scripted in separate files, usually, this function is used to generate HTML documents dynamically as opposed to returning static documents. The former is used for retrieving or modifying information from databases. The latter is much faster and more easily cached but cannot deliver dynamic content. Web servers are not only used for serving the World Wide Web and they can also be found embedded in devices such as printers, routers, webcams and serving only a local network. The web server may then be used as a part of a system for monitoring or administering the device in question and this usually means that no additional software has to be installed on the client computer, since only a web browser is required. In 1989 Tim Berners-Lee proposed a new project to his employer CERN, the project resulted in Berners-Lee writing two programs in 1990, A browser called WorldWideWeb. In 1994 Berners-Lee decided to constitute the World Wide Web Consortium to regulate the development of the many technologies involved through a standardization process. On an Apache server, this is commonly /home/www, the result is the local file system resource, /home/www/path/file. html The web server then reads the file, if it exists, and sends a response to the clients web browser. The response will describe the content of the file and contain the file itself or a message will return saying that the file does not exist or is unavailable. A web server can be incorporated into the OS kernel. Web servers that run in user-mode have to ask the system for permission to use more memory or more CPU resources, executing in user mode can also mean useless buffer copies which are another handicap for user-mode web servers. When a web server is near to or over its limit, it becomes unresponsive, at any time web servers can be overloaded due to, Excess legitimate web traffic

However, uninstall guides are available online for expert server administrators who do not wish to reformat their server, similarly, it should only be installed on a freshly installed operating system with minimal prior configuration. CPanel, Inc. is a privately owned corporation headquartered in Houston, the software was originally designed as the control panel for Speed Hosting, a now-defunct web hosting company. The original author of cPanel, John Nick Koston, had a stake in Speed Hosting, webking quickly began using cPanel after their merger with Speed Hosting. The new company moved their servers to Virtual Development Inc. a now-defunct hosting facility, following an agreement between Koston and VDI, cPanel was only available to customers hosted directly at VDI. At the time there was competition in the control panel market, with the main choices being VDI. CPanel 3 was released in 1999, main additions over cPanel 2 were an automatic upgrade, the interface was also improved when Carlos Rego of WizardsHosting made what became the default theme of cPanel. Eventually due to problems between VDI and Koston, cPanel split into a separate program called WebPanel, this version was run by VDI. Without the lead programmer, VDI was not able to continue any work on cPanel, Koston kept working on cPanel while also working at BurstNET. Eventually Nick left BurstNET on good terms to focus fully on cPanel, cPanel has since been updated and improved over the years. To the client, cPanel provides front-ends for a number of operations, including the management of PGP keys, crontab tasks, mail and FTP accounts. Several add-ons exist, some for a fee, the most notable being Auto Installers like Installatron, Fantastico, SimpleScripts, Softaculous. Auto Installers are a bundle of scripts which automate the installation web applications such as WordPress, SMF, phpBB, Drupal, tiki Wiki CMS Groupware, Geeklog, Moodle, MagicSpam WHMCS, and ZamFoo. Fantastico is a popular Auto Installer but is losing market fast because of lack of updates, cPanel manages some software packages separately from the underlying operating system, applying upgrades to Apache, PHP, MySQL, Exim, FTP, and related software packages automatically
