Whitestone Logging Camp, Alaska

Whitestone Logging Camp is a census-designated place on Chichagof Island in Hoonah-Angoon Census Area, United States. In 2010, the population was 17, down from 116 in 2000, it is not to be confused with another CDP in Southeast Fairbanks Census Area. Whitestone Logging Camp is located on the northern side of Chichagof Island at 58°5′7″N 135°26′54″W, it lies adjacent to the south side of the city of Hoonah. The community of Game Creek lies adjacent to its southwest side. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 11.0 square miles, all of it land. Whitestone Logging Camp first appeared on the 1990 U. S. Census as a census-designated place. At the 2000 census, there were 116 people, 36 households and 28 families residing in the CDP; the population density was 11.1 per square mile. There were 45 housing units at an average density of 4.3/sq mi. The racial makeup of the CDP was 92.24% White, 2.59% Native American, 0.86% Asian, 4.31% from two or more races. There were 36 households of which 52.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.9% were married couples living together, 22.2% were non-families.

22.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 2.8% had someone living alone, 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.00 and the average family size was 3.57. 33.6% of the population were under the age of 18, 9.5% from 18 to 24, 33.6% from 25 to 44, 22.4% from 45 to 64, 0.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 30 years. For every 100 females, there were 146.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 165.5 males. The median household income was $60,625 and the median family income was $64,375. Males had a median income of $72,083 compared with $27,917 for females; the per capita income for the CDP was $21,810. None of the population and none of the families were below the poverty line

Nigel Birch, Baron Rhyl

Evelyn Nigel Chetwode Birch, Baron Rhyl was a British Conservative politician. The son of General Sir Noel Birch and his wife Florence Chetwode, Nigel Birch was educated at Eton, he was a partner in Cohen Laming Hoare until May 1939. He served in World War II in the King's Royal Rifle Corps and on General Staff, being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1944, he was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 1945. He was Conservative Member of Parliament for Flintshire from 1945 to 1950 and for West Flintshire from 1950 to 1970, he served in government as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Air from 1951 to 1952, Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Defence from 1952 to 1954, Minister of Works from October 1954 to December 1955, Secretary of State for Air from December 1955 to January 1957 and Economic Secretary to the Treasury from 1957 to 1958. His resignation in 1958, along with that of the Chancellor of the Exchequer Peter Thorneycroft and fellow Treasury Minister Enoch Powell, was described by Harold Macmillan as "little local difficulties".

He exacted his revenge when, in the wake of the Profumo scandal, he attacked the Macmillan government and quoted in his memorable speech the devastating words of Robert Browning on William Wordsworth: "Never glad confident morning again". His speech showed Macmillan as weak and out of touch, it sealed Birch's reputation of being as deadly as Leo Amery. In 1950 he married the daughter of the 4th Baron Wolverton. In 1955, he was appointed a Privy Counsellor, on 7 July 1970, he was created a life peer as Baron Rhyl, of Holywell in the parish of Swanmore in the County of Southampton. Botevgrad is a town in western Bulgaria. It is close to Pravets. Botevgrad lies 47 km from Sofia; the village was called Samundzhievo until it was elevated to town status at the end of 1865 under the name of Orhanie. On 1 December 1934 the city was named Botevgrad after Hristo Botev. Botevgrad and its hinterland are located in an elliptical valley with a total area of 5,066 km²; the municipality covers parts of the Western Stara Planina mountain — Razhana, Murgash and Golyama Planina and some parts of the Northern Balkan. Vitinya Pass connecting Northern Bulgaria with Southern Bulgaria and the proximity of the capital contribute to its strategic location. Botevgrad municipality borders the following municipalities: Pravets, Gorna Malina, Elin Pelin, Svoge and Roman; the region of Botevgrad municipality is quite rich in natural resources. The relief is remarkable for its variety; the municipality covers the following geographic parts: a part of Botevgradska Kotlovina, some parts of Botevgradski Predbalkan and four of the Balkan shoulders — Razhana, Golyama Planina and Bilo.

Kotlovinata Zhleba is situated between the Northern Balkan. The bottom of the hollow is the accumulative river terrace of its tributaries; the low oval hills inside the hollow contribute to the countryside variety. Mount Murgash — 1687 m tall is the highest point of the highest mountain range to the south and south-west. Many rivulets run down the slopes of the heights. Prohoda Vitinya or Vitinya Pass connecting South Bulgaria with North Bulgaria is located on the territory of Botevgrad municipality. Sensata Technologies group, which specialises in the design and production of added value electronics and electromechanical systems used in the automotive and consumer electronics industry, operates one large production plant in the town. GE Pharmaceuticals operates a drugs factory and in 2006 Siemens opened a plant for the production of high voltage transformers. Botevgrad has one of the leading basketball teams in the country, BC Balkan Botevgrad, who play at the Arena Botevgrad and have won 4 national championships and 4 national cups.

The local football club is called plays at the Hristo Botev Stadium. The city has many sport fields - both for basketball. Elk River (Alberta)

The Elk River is a short river rising in the eastern portion of the Alberta foothills. The river begins south of the ghost town of Coalspur and heads East before draining into the Brazeau Reservoir created by the Brazeau Dam on the Brazeau River, a tributary of the North Saskatchewan River; the river follows the Elk River Road for much of its course. The Elk River Provincial Recreation Area is located on the river. History of rugby union matches between Scotland and South Africa

The national rugby union teams of Scotland and South Africa have been playing each other in Test rugby since 1906, as of October 2015, they have met in 27 Test matches. Their first meeting was on 17 November 1906, was won 6-0 by Scotland and their most recent match was on 17 November 2018, was won 26-20 by South Africa. South Africa have won the majority of games played between the two sides, with 22 victories in the 27 matches, they are the only team to win an away match between the sides, having won 14 times in Scotland. South Africa have won all seven of their home games. Since South Africa's rugby re-admission in 1992, South Africa has dominated once again, winning 17 of the 19 encounters between the two; the 1906 match between Scotland and South Africa was South Africa's first official international rugby tour. It was the tour in which the Springbok nickname was coined. South Africa defeated Ireland and Wales and drew with England, they played a game against a representative French side drawn from two Parisian clubs and won.

Keir Beck

Keir Beck is an Australia Stuntman and Film Director based on the Gold Coast. He works out of, is founder of, the stunt training venue AP8. Keir Beck is known for his work on Mad Max: Casino Royale and San Andreas. Keir grew up in Western Australia, he moved to the Gold Coast where he joined the Television Industry. His experience with rope access as an Arborist and rock climber gained him a reputation in the industry as a stunt rigger, he spent eight months in the Namibian desert, filming Mad Max: Fury Road in which he won a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture, Two Taurus Awards for Best Stunt Rigging and Best Stunt Coordination and/or 2ndD Unit Direction and an OFTA Film Award for Best Stunt Coordination. Most Keir received the SAG award for Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture for Hacksaw Ridge.
