Dua Lipa is the debut studio album by English and Albanian singer Dua Lipa. It was released on 2 June 2017 through Warner Bros. Records. The album is a dance-pop, electropop, and R&B record with elements of disco, hip hop, and tropical house. It includes a sole guest appearance from Miguel, as well as additional vocals from Chris Martin of Coldplay.
Lipa was inspired by the discovery of Justin Bieber to begin her career using social media.
"Genesis" quotes and gets its title from the first book of the bible, which it shares a name with.
"Garden" references Adam and Eve leaving the Garden of Eden, using it as a metaphor to describe a breakup.
