Simran (actress)

Simran Bagga, known professionally only as Simran, is an Indian actress who has predominantly appeared in Tamil, Telugu and a few Malayalam films. She debuted in Bollywood and acted in Hindi films, before starring in her first Tamil film V. I. P, having a string of successes in her early career, in 1999, Simran received critical praise for playing a blind woman in Thulladha Manamum Thullum. However the turning point of her career came with the success of Vaali which made Simran the most successful actress in the industry and she received her first Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Actress for Kannathil Muthamittal, as the mother of an adopted 9-year-old daughter. Other than romantic dramas, Simran had also appeared in two comedy films alongside Kamal Hassan, Pammal K. Sambandam and Panchathantiram, both released in 2002. With the success of the 2004 sci fi film New, Simran left the industry following her marriage with her childhood family friend Deepak Bagga. In 1998, entertainment portal Rediff. com called her one of Tamil cinemas top female draws, in 1999, she was featured in Forbes Magazine as the most prolific actress with a diverse portfolio from the Indian sub continent. Simran was born as Rishibala Naval to Punjabi parents in Mumbai, her father is Ashok Naval, Simran has two sisters, Monal and Jyothi Naval, and a brother named Sumith. She did her schooling from St. Anthonys high school, Versova and she speaks Punjabi, Hindi, English and Tamil. Simran is a dancer and can perform Bharatanatyam and Salsa. She married Deepak, her family friend, on December 2,2003. They have two sons, Adheep and Aadit, Jaya Bachchan saw Simran presenting the show Superhit Muqabla on Doordarshan’s Metro channel, and subsequently offered her a leading role in her production, the romantic drama Tere Mere Sapne. She then starred in supporting roles in Muqaddar, Angaara and Daadagiri, Bal Bramhachari, Agni Morcha, Gunda Gardi opposite Aditya Pancholi, Ayub Khan, meanwhile, she was acting in South Indian languages and was a huge star in Tamil and Telugu cinema. Her first South Indian film was the Malayalam film, Indraprastham with Mammootty in the lead role, in 1997, she appeared in her only Kannada film till date, Simhada Mari opposite Shivarajkumar. Prior to her debut in Tamil films, Simran was associated with two projects which failed to materialize in 1996, Parthiepans Soththukatchi and Bharathirajas Siragugal Murivadhillai and her debut Telugu movie was Abbayi Gari Pelli in 1997 opposite Suman which opened to poor reviews. Following successful debut in Tamil and Telugu films, in 1998 she had her first release in K. S. Ravikumars Kondattam opposite Arjun Sarja and she also appeared in a supporting role with Akkineni Nagarjuna and Deepti Bhatnagar in Auto Driver. Both performed averagely at box office and she tasted her first success with Ajith Kumar in Aval Varuvala, a remake of 1997 Telugu film Pelli. Her role was received by the critics. Vivek (actor)

Vivekh, better known as Vivek is an Indian film actor, comedian, television personality, playback singer and activist working in the Tamil film industry. Introduced in films by director K. Balachander, he has won three Filmfare Best Comedian Awards for his performances in Run, Saamy and Perazhagan, in 2009, Government of India awarded Vivekh with the Padma Shri award for his contribution to the arts. Sathyabama University has conferred actor Vivek with a doctorate for his contribution to the society through cinema. As a television personality, Vivek has hosted a number of events and has interviewed media personalities, notably A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, A. R. Rahman, and Rajinikanth. While working at the Secretariat in Chennai, Vivekh in his free-time participated at the Madras Humour Club where people would perform stand-up comedy and he helped pioneer the movement to expand and subsequently won the Best Entertainer Award several times during his pantomimes at the Club. Vivekh subsequently left Chennai and went on to obtain a degree in commerce from American College, Madurai and during semester breaks, he would return. Vivekh revealed that four years, Balachandar explained a situation and asked him to write a script for sixteen characters. He later understood that this was actually a test, and through his performance, while assisting with the script for Manathil Uruthi Vendum in 1987, Balachandar offered Vivek an acting role of Suhasinis brother in the film, which he decided to pursue. S. Ravikumars Putham Pudhu Payanam and Vikramans Naan Pesa Ninaipathellam and he then also made appearances in Rajinikanths big budget productions Uzhaippali and Veera, playing secondary cast roles. Vivek had to wait till 1996 to establish himself as a comedian who could help carry the film. He subsequently became amongst the most busy actors in 2000 and 2001, films including Kushi, Priyamanavale and Minnale became blockbusters, while his roles in Mani Ratnams Alaipayuthey, Mugavaree and Dumm Dumm Dumm all won critical acclaim for the actor. The rising success of Viveks films had meant that he was featured on film posters on an equivalent scale to the lead actor, in 2000, director K. Subash had planned a film starring Vivek in the leading role titled Enakkenna Korachal. Vivek worked on more commercially successful ventures in 2002 and 2003, receiving consecutive Filmfare Best Comedian Awards and his comedy track in Run won him multiple accolades, with a critic adding Viveks nods to current social events showed a stroke of brilliance. He played extended comedy roles in Vikrams Dhool and Priyadarshans Lesa Lesa, while winning further acclaim for his portrayal of a teacher in Saamy and a software engineer in Parthiban Kanavu. He then played a more serious role in S. Shankars coming-of-age tale Boys, portraying a mentor to the group of youngsters. In the latter film, the director had requested Vivek to write and appear in a role himself, a film which would feature Vivek in the leading role finally materialised in early 2004 and he completed a project titled Solli Addipean directed by newcomer Ramki. Despite completion, the film has been stuck since 2004 and as a result of a failure to find a distributor, in mid 2004, he suffered an injury during the production of a film and took a break from acting assignments for a period of six months. Moon Moon Sen

Moon Moon Sen, also credited as Moonmoon Sen, is an Indian film actress, known for her works in Bengali, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi and Kannada films. She eventually starred in Bollywood films and she has appeared in 60 films and 40 television series. She has received Andhra Pradesh state Nandi Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1987, Moon Moon Sen was born into a Hindu family in Kolkata to popular Bengali actress Suchitra Sen and Dibanath Sen. Her father, of Ballygunge Place, was the son of one of the wealthiest businessmen of Kolkata and her great grandfather Dinanath Sen was the Diwan or a Minister of the Maharaja of Tripura. She was educated at Loreto Convent, Shillong and at Loreto House, Kolkata, she graduated from Somerville College and she received her masters in Comparative Literature from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. As a child, Sen learnt drawing from Jamini Roy, one of Indias greatest artists and she loves paintings and collecting antiques. In an interview in 2000, she said she taught at Ballygunge Govt High School for a year and then taught graphics at Chitrabani and she was also active in social work and even thought about adopting a baby, even before she was married. Sen taught English at a well known Boys school in Kolkata before joining films, Moon Moon Sen started her career in films and television after marriage and motherhood. She made her debut in Andar Baahar and her daring role in that film apparently created a storm of controversy. She had also starred in a suspense thriller 100 Days with Madhuri Dixit, after Zakhmi Dil she did not appear in films until 2003 when she starred in an unsuccessful thriller Kucch To Hai. She could not match success of her mother, shed acted in a Telugu movie Sirivennela directed by the legendary Telugu director K. Vishwanath. Before and after entering the industry, she appeared alone in some modelling assignments. She notably modelled for soap ads which were controversial in the 1980s. Apart from doing some television serials, she also did couple of Bengali tele-films, Sen said she would bare all even at 70. Age is not important, the attitude is, sophia is the ultimate glam girl who can manage to look beautiful in such a picture even now. But yes, India too has beautiful women like Rekha and Hema Malini who can carry such an out with aplomb. In fact, I wouldnt mind if the shoot is done aesthetically. She is now doing a few films at a time and she is also apparently writing a cookbook in Bengali, which is yet to be published

Suniel Shetty is an Indian film actor, producer and entrepreneur predominantly active in Bollywood who has acted in more than 110 films. His major works have been action films, suneil Shettys debut film was Balwaan opposite the late Divya Bharti. The film was an average grosser and launched his career as an action hero. In 2014, he changed the spelling of his name from Sunil to Suniel for numerological reasons, Shetty was involved primarily in action films throughout the 1990s, playing the male protagonist in most of the movies he acted in during the decade. Shetty also produced such as Khel – No Ordinary Game, Rakht. He hosted Biggest Loser Jeetega on Sahara One, Suniel Shetty is captain of the Mumbai Heroes cricket team in the Celebrity cricket league. Suniel Shetty was born in a Tulu speaking ethnic Bunt family on 11 August 1961 in Mulki, Mangalore, Karnataka and he is married to Mana Shetty and has two children, actress Athiya Shetty and Ahan. Athiya made her debut opposite actor Aditya Pancholis son Sooraj Pancholi in Hero. Mana runs an NGO for under-privileged kids, Shetty has a Black Belt in Kickboxing. Harris Jayaraj is an Indian film composer from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He composes scores and soundtracks predominantly for Tamil films, while also composed for a few films in Telugu, Harris Jayaraj was brought up in Chennai, He was born into a middle class Tamil Christian family. He studied at Krishnaswamy Matric School, K. K. Nagar and his father, S. M. Jayakumar, was a noted film guitarist and an assistant to Malayalam music director Shyam and later became a noted musician and film composer. At age six, Harris began his training in carnatic music. His father wanted him to become a guitarist and made him learn classical guitar from Mr. A. Abdul Sattar, Harris scored the highest mark in Asia on his 4th grade exam of Trinity College of Music, London. He started his career as a guitarist in 1987 at age twelve. He started playing keyboard and developed interest over synthesizers and he worked under noted composers including Raj-Koti, A. R. Rahman, Mani Sharma, Karthik Raja, Vidyasagar. While working as a programmer under Rahman, he composed music for various television commercials including a Coca-Cola commercial featuring actor Vijay. In his early years, he admired music composers M. S. Viswanathan, percussionist Aruljothi Balagopal, A. R. Rahman, Harris debuted as a film composer with Gautham Menons Minnale. The album was received, particularly the song Vaseegara was exceptionally popular. He received the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director – Tamil for his work in Minnale, the following soundtrack albums 12B and Majunu met with high acclaim and praise. He also composed for the Hindi remake of Minnale titled Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, most of the tunes from the Tamil version were retained in the Hindi version too, and only two fresh tunes were composed. He then worked in Lesa Lesa directed by Priyadarshan, the title track of Lesa Lesa was the first song in India to be released as a single prior to a film soundtrack album release. Harris made his debut in Telugu cinema with Vasu and he received the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director – Tamil, Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Music Director and ITFA Best Music Director Award for Kaakha Kaakha, starring Suriya and Jyothika. This film directed by Gautham Menon was a commercial success. In its Telugu remake Gharshana two new songs apart from the Tamil version were added to suit the taste of Telugu audience. The song Uyirin Uyire reused as Cheliya Cheliya in Telugu and Khwabon Khwabon in Hindi had effective use of words which later became a signature element in Harris songs. Harris once again paired up with director Jeeva on Ullam Ketkumae after 12B, the music was appreciated for its excellency and synergy with the atmosphere in and out of the movie

Lenin is an editor, writer and director who has worked in Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi films. He is the son of A. Bhimsingh, a Tamil film maker, Lenin entered the film industry as an assistant editor and went on to work in numerous projects before becoming an independent editor. He made his debut as a full-fledged editor through J. Mahendrans Uthiripookkal in 1979, as of 2013, Lenin has won five National Film Awards including the awards for Best Direction and Best Editing. He was the chairman of the Film Federation of India of India in 2011, Lenin was born in a family consisting of eight children. His father A. Bhimsingh was a known director in Tamil. Lenin has a brother named B. Lenin started his career as an director of his father. He also had experience as a lab technician and sound engineering department as well, after several films as working as an assistant Lenin made his debut as an independent editor in 1979 through Uthiripookkal, a Tamil film directed by J. Mahendran. He made his debut in 1983 through Ethanai Konam Ethanai Paarvai and went on to direct four feature films. His short film Knock-out was critically acclaimed as it went on to win the Islamia critics Award for Best Short Film at the Cairo International Film Festival and it also won the National Film Award for Best First Non-Feature Film of a Director for Lenin. The jury noted, The director has given us an insight into the labyrinth of the human mind faced with a disaster situation. Three years later, he directed his second short film tilted Kutravali which won the Best Editing at the 43rd National Film Awards, in 2002, Lenin made Ooruku Nooruper. The film fetched him the Best Direction award apart from winning the Best Regional Film, the film dealt with capital punishment and was received with critical response. He has also directed a few TV serials including Solladi Sivasakthi, Lenin has held important positions such as the jury member of 57th National Film Awards and the chairman of Oscar selection committee in 2011. Romance films make the romantic love story or the search for strong and pure love and romance the main plot focus. Occasionally, romance lovers face obstacles such as finances, physical illness, various forms of discrimination, as in all quite strong, deep, and close romantic relationships, tensions of day-to-day life, temptations, and differences in compatibility enter into the plots of romantic films. In romantic television series, the development of romantic relationships may play out over many episodes. Romantic drama usually revolves around an obstacle which prevents deep and true love between two people. Music is often employed to indicate the mood, creating an atmosphere of greater insulation for the couple. Chick flick is a term associated with romance films as many are targeted to a female audience. As such, the terms cannot be used interchangeably, films of this genre include Dirty Dancing, The Notebook, Dear John, A Walk to Remember, and Romeo + Juliet. Romantic comedies are films with light-hearted, humorous plotlines, centered on romantic ideals such as true love is able to surmount most obstacles. Humour in such films tends to be of a verbal, low-key variety or situational, films within this genre include Four Weddings and a Funeral, Love Actually, Moonstruck, As Good as It Gets, Somethings Gotta Give, It Happened One Night, When Harry Met Sally. Romantic fantasies describe fantasy stories using many of the elements and conventions of the romance genre, romantic action comedies are films that blend romantic comedy and action. A job interview is a one-on-one interview consisting of a conversation between a job applicant and a representative of an employer which is conducted to assess whether the applicant should be hired. Interviews are one of the most popularly used devices for employee selection, a job interview typically precedes the hiring decision. The interview is usually preceded by the evaluation of submitted résumés from interested candidates, next, after this screening, a small number of candidates for interviews is selected. Earlier rounds sometimes called screening interviews may involve fewer staff from the employers and will typically be much shorter, an increasingly common initial interview approach is the telephone interview. This is especially common when the candidates do not live near the employer and has the advantage of keeping costs low for both sides, since 2003, interviews have been held through video conferencing software, such as Skype. Once all candidates have been interviewed, the employer typically selects the most desirable candidate, researchers have attempted to identify which interview strategies or constructs can help interviewers choose the best candidate. Vaishnavi was an Indian television actress. Vaishnavi appeared in the serials Anni, Muhurtham, and Malargal and she acted in many TV serials and also acted as Sherins friend in Whistle. She was also the jockey for the programme titled Kondattam for SUN TV. On 17 April 2006, Vaishnavi hanged herself in her home after a fight with actor Dev Anand, her married co-star in the Tamil serial Manaivi, on 19 April 2006, Anand was arrested in connection with Vaishnavis death. Vaishnavis parents and her sister had been to her grandfathers house to celebrate his birthday. Bangalore /bæŋɡəˈlɔːr/, officially known as Bengaluru, is the capital of the Indian state of Karnataka. It has a population of about 8.42 million and a population of about 8.52 million, making it the third most populous city. It is located in southern India on the Deccan Plateau and its elevation is over 900 m above sea level, the highest of Indias major cities. In 1638, the Marāthās conquered and ruled Bangalore for almost 50 years, after which the Mughals captured and it was captured by the British after victory in the Fourth Anglo-Mysore War, who returned administrative control of the city to the Maharaja of Mysore. The old city developed in the dominions of the Maharaja of Mysore and was capital of the Princely State of Mysore. In 1809, the British shifted their cantonment to Bangalore, outside the old city, and a grew up around it. Following Indias independence in 1947, Bangalore became the capital of Mysore State, the two urban settlements of Bangalore – city and cantonment – which had developed as independent entities merged into a single urban centre in 1949. The existing Kannada name, Bengalūru, was declared the name of the city in 2006. Bangalore is sometimes referred to as the Silicon Valley of India because of its role as the leading information technology exporter. Indian technological organisations ISRO, Infosys, Wipro and HAL are headquartered in the city, a demographically diverse city, Bangalore is the second fastest-growing major metropolis in India. Numerous state-owned aerospace and defence organisations, such as Bharat Electronics, Hindustan Aeronautics, the city also houses the Kannada film industry. The name Bangalore represents a version of the Kannada language name. It is the name of a village near kodegehalli and was copied by Kempegowda to the city of Bangalore, Bangalore was built on a venue earlier called as Shivanasamudram in the 16th century. The earliest reference to the name Bengalūru was found in a ninth-century Western Ganga Dynasty stone inscription on a vīra gallu, in this inscription found in Begur, Bengalūrū is referred to as a place in which a battle was fought in 890 CE. It states that the place was part of the Ganga Kingdom until 1004 and was known as Bengaval-uru, an apocryphal story recounts that the 12th century Hoysala king Veera Ballala II, while on a hunting expedition, lost his way in the forest. Tired and hungry, he came across an old woman who served him boiled beans. The grateful king named the place benda-kaal-uru, which evolved into Bengalūru. On 11 December 2005, the Government of Karnataka announced that it had accepted a proposal by Jnanpith Award winner U. R. Ananthamurthy to rename Bangalore to Bengalūru, on 27 September 2006, the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike passed a resolution to implement the proposed name change

S. J. Surya

S. J. Surya is an Indian film director, screenwriter, actor, music composer and producer who has worked in the Tamil, Telugu and Hindi film industries. Born in Sankarankovil, Tamil Nadu, Suryah did various works before joining film industry to become an actor but ended up assisting Vasanth, Surya made his directorial debut with Vaali in 1999 whose success catapulted him to stardom. His other notable films include Kushi, New, Anbe Aaruyire, in order to be financially self-dependent, he began working in hotels and as a steward, before receiving an offer to apprentice under K. Bhagyaraj. While working in the team of Ullaasam, the lead actor Ajith Kumar recognised Surya from their collaboration in Aasai. Ajith, impressed with the narration, subsequently helped approach S. S. Chakravarthy to produce the film, keerthi Reddy was announced to be the lead actress before she was replaced by Simran, while Surya also chose to introduce Jyothika in the film. A thriller film, it told the story of a deaf and mute brother setting his eyes on his brothers wife. The film opened to positive reviews in May 1999 and went on to become amongst the most profitable films of the year. The reviewer from Indolink. com labelled the film as a classic in its own right, the New Indian Express mentioned the film as outstanding while mentioning Surya does a good job and succeeds. The films commercial success meant that it provided a breakthrough for both Suryas and the actors careers. After watching the show of Vaali, producer A. M. Rathnam offered Surya an opportunity to make another film and thus Kushi. Telling the story of a pair of lovers with a college backdrop. The film opened to reviews from critics in May 2000. Rediff. com gave a positive verdict stating that the movie is a family entertainer, praising the directors story-telling. The Hindu featured the film as runner-up in their list of top Tamil films in 2000, the team then approached Pawan Kalyan to star in a Telugu version of the film and after a positive narration session, the actor prioritised the venture over two other films. Bhumika Chawla was added to the cast to play Jyothikas role, while a few changes were inserted to make it fit for the Telugu audiences. The film also titled as Kushi, opened to positive reviews, a film critic noted Surya has come up with another winner this time. There is no story in film, but it runs with a neat screenplay. Surya then made a version of the film, Khushi in Hindi, for producer Boney Kapoor, with Fardeen Khan

Vaali is a 1999 Tamil erotic thriller film written and directed by S. J. Suryah making his directorial debut and was produced by S. S. Chakravarthy under production company Nic Arts. The film stars Ajith Kumar in dual role and Simran in the lead with Jyothika, Vivek, Pandu and it tells the story of Deva and Shiva, two look-alike siblings with Deva being deaf and dumb. When Shiva marries his sweetheart Priya, Deva becomes obsessed and has a lust towards Priya, Surya who was assisting Vasanth in Aasai was approached by Ajith that he will do a film under his direction if he has a good script. Simran was selected as the actress after attempts to sign Keerthi Reddy. The soundtrack was composed by Deva and lyrics were written by Vairamuthu with songs like Oh Sona, the cinematography was handled by Jeeva while the editing was done by duo B. The film was released on 30 April 1999 to positive reviews from critics for direction of S. J. Suryah along with the performance of Ajith Kumar and Simran. The film became a success at box-office and became one of the successful films in the career of the lead actors. Deva and Shiva are the twins, Deva, the elder, is deaf and mute. But he is a genius, an expert at lip-reading and the head of an advertising company. Shiva loves and trusts his brother, Priya wants to marry only someone who is an ex-smoker, an ex-drunkard and ditched by a girl but still pining for her. Learning this, Shiva invents an old romance between him and Sona and finds his way into Priyas heart, Deva meanwhile chances upon Priya and lusts for her. His obsession continues even after his brother gets married to the girl of his dreams and he devises various means of getting close to Priya and keeping Shiva. Some of the methods Deva uses to woo Priya are masochistic and psychotic, Priya realises the not-so-honourable intentions Deva has towards her but Shiva refuses to believe her and has full faith in his brother. He even goes as far as to take Priya to a psychiatrist, to get away from it all, Shiva and Priya go on a long-delayed honeymoon. But Deva shows up there too, Shiva watches Deva kissing the photo of Priya and realises Priya was right all along. While Shiva is away, Priya has to care of Deva. Deva beats Shiva mercilessly, packs the unconscious Shiva in a gunny bag, Deva disguises himself as Shiva and tries to seduce Priya. Chennai 600028 is a 2007 Tamil coming-of-age sports comedy film written and directed by Venkat Prabhu, in his directorial debut. The film was produced by S. P. B, charan along with J. K. Saravana, a Singapore-based award-winning producer. The films score and soundtrack were composed by Premji Amaran and Yuvan Shankar Raja, the film is based on street cricket played in India, focussing on various themes as friendship, love and rivalry in a suburban area. Following its theatrical release on 27 April 2007, it received acclaim and emerged a surprise sleeper hit. The films title is derived from the pincode for Mandaveli, a suburb of Chennai, the success of the film gained the relatively unknown actors — Jai, Shiva, Premji Amaren and Nithin Sathya, newcomers Vijayalakshmi, Vijay Vasanth and the director Venkat Prabhu popularity. Upon release, the film was dubbed into Telugu and released as Kodithe Kottalira, the film was also remade in Bengali as Le Chakka, Sinhalese as Super Six, and in Kannada as Bangalore 560023. A sequel for the film, Chennai 600028 II, Second Innings, has also since been released, the story revolves around two local cricket league teams that compete against each other in local matches and consider each other as sworn enemies. Royapuram Rockers are on top of the chain and keep bashing the Sharks year after year, the heroes of the movie are the Sharks team. The story begins when Raghus parents move from Royapuram to Visalakshi Thottam, Raghu is a member of the Royapuram Rockers Cricket team, and a college student living with his parents. He has no choice but to move with them although he detests the area and he is not very excited at the prospect of living in the same area as his sworn enemies. Raghu is faithful to his teammates, but they ignore him because of the distance, angered at being replaced by a new guy in the team in one of the matches, Raghu estranges himself from cricket and the Rockers. Raghu informs of Pazhanis sister Selvis love for Karthik to him and this incident initiates Raghus friendship with a few Sharks team players and eventually gets induced into the team. Raghu practices with the Sharks to play against the Rockers in the upcoming Radio Mirchi trophy, Pazhani, who soon comes to know of his sisters and Karthiks love affair is disappointed and then there is a tiff amongst the friends. The team splits up for a while, but Karthik apologizes to Pazhani, the team is united again and they start practicing for the trophy once again. Unfortunately, Karthik gets stabbed by his brothers enemies and is rendered unfit to play the match, Pazhani replaces Karthik as the captain and the team heads for the match. Under tight pressure and with a nail biting finish, the Sharks finally defeat the Rockers in the semi-finals of the tournament, in the finals they meet their nemesis, a bunch of school kids named Bad Boys-II who practice by bunking school to play cricket on the beach. The kids are good and the Sharks know it because they have lost to them once before. The movie ends with the team struggling to keep it up in the game

Thamizh Padam is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language parody film written and directed by C. S. Amudhan, in his directorial debut. The film stars Shiva and Disha Pandey in the lead roles, the films plot parodies contemporary commercial films in Tamil cinema, mocking the stereotypical scenes. The film was distributed by Dhayanidhi Alagiris Cloud Nine Movies, and it was released on 29 January 2010 and won critical acclaim, the film was later remade to Telugu as Sudigadu. In the South Indian village of Cinemapatti, male infanticide is predominant, one such baby is headed for such a fate, until he speaks to his caretaker-grandmother and asks to be sent to Chennai on a goods train, where he plans to grow into a hero. The old woman complies, and takes the baby, named Shiva, to Chennai and raises him herself and he manages to defeat gangster Devaraj with a clever exchange of puns and a costumed associate. He spends his time hanging out, drinking and playing carrom with his gang of friends, composed of Nakul, Shiva runs into a headstrong girl named Priya whom he falls in love with. She reciprocates his feelings, and the two start a relationship, Shiva is then challenged by Priyas rich and powerful father Kodeeswaran, who refuses to give his daughter to a poor man. Shiva swears to become a billionaire, and promptly does so, Kodeeswaran accepts Shiva as a suitor, and fixes his engagement to Priya. During the ceremony, Shiva hears a passing comment that he not know his own father. Offended, he travels to Cinemapatti, accompanied by Bharath, to learn his roots, after encountering a host of Tamil-cinema stereotypes of several decades ago, he succeeds in uniting with his family when a woman leads him to his father, mother and sister. He finds them when they sing their family song, the ganglord who commandeered the slain criminals, a mysterious person simply called D, organises the kidnapping of Priya, and has Shiva beaten up. Shiva recovers, saves Prita by fighting off thugs using exaggerated stunts and she explains that she did it to increase the fame of her grandson, and a heartbroken Shiva is forced to arrest her. At the trial, Shiva accidentally kills an assassin who targets his grandmother and he is saved, however, when a man who had helped him in Cinemapatti earlier testifies that Shiva was a victim of circumstance. Both Shiva and D are pardoned, and Shiva who has promoted to DGP, unites happily with Priya, his family. Shiva as Shiva Disha Pandey as Priya M. S. S, the film was given a U certificate by the Indian Censor Board. The film had a wide expectation based on the marketing campaign that the producers undertook with popular film stills being parodied as a part of the promotion strategy. Saravanan Sivakumar, known by his stage name Suriya, is an Indian film actor, producer and television presenter, best known for his work in Tamil cinema. After making his debut in Nerukku Ner, Suriya landed his role in Nandha. She rushes for her train on the London Underground and misses it, the plot then splits into two parallel universes, the other detailing what would have happened had she caught that train. Helen suspects Gerry of infidelity, but later discovers that she is pregnant and she receives a phone call, allegedly for a job interview with an international PR firm. She tells Gerry the news, but does not manage to tell him of her pregnancy, Lydia calls Gerry to her apartment, apparently to break up. Thinking Helen is at her interview, Gerry goes to see Lydia, while at Lydias, Gerry answers the doorbell and sees Helen standing at the door. Helen is stunned to see Gerry, and Lydia drops the news of her own pregnancy to both, distraught, Helen runs off and falls down Lydias staircase. The Hindu has its largest base of circulation in southern India, the newspaper and other publications in The Hindu Group are owned by a family-held company, Kasturi and Sons Ltd. Started as a newspaper, the paper became a tri-weekly in 1883. A single copy of the newspaper was priced at four annas, the offices moved to rented premises at 100 Mount Road on 3 December 1883. The newspaper started printing at its own press there, named The National Press, the Hindu was initially liberal in its outlook and is now considered left leaning. Its editorial stances have earned it the nickname, the Maha Vishnu of Mount Road, in between, there were more views than news. The partnership between Veeraraghavachariar and Subramania Iyer was dissolved in October 1898, Iyer quit the paper and Veeraraghavachariar became the sole owner and appointed C. In movie industry terminology usage, a sound track is an audio recording created or used in film production or post-production. Initially the dialogue, sound effects, and music in a film each has its own track, and these are mixed together to make what is called the composite track. A dubbing track is later created when films are dubbed into another language. This is also known as a M & E track containing all sound elements minus dialogue which is supplied by the foreign distributor in the native language of its territory. The contraction soundtrack came into public consciousness with the advent of so-called soundtrack albums in the late 1940s and these phrases were soon shortened to just original motion picture soundtrack. More accurately, such recordings are made from a music track, because they usually consist of the isolated music from a film, not the composite track with dialogue. The soundtrack to the 1937 Walt Disney film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was the first commercially issued film soundtrack. It was released by RCA Victor Records on multiple 78 RPM discs in January 1938 as Songs from Walt Disneys Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and has since seen numerous expansions and reissues. The first live-action musical film to have a commercially issued soundtrack album was MGM’s 1946 film biography of Show Boat composer Jerome Kern, the album was originally issued as a set of four 10-inch 78-rpm records. Only eight selections from the film were included in this first edition of the album, in order to fit the songs onto the record sides the musical material needed editing and manipulation. Needless to say, it was several generations removed from the original, the playback recordings were purposely recorded very dry, otherwise it would come across as too hollow sounding in large movie theatres. This made these albums sound flat and boxy, the phrase is also sometimes incorrectly used for Broadway cast recordings. While it is correct in some instances to call a soundtrack a cast recording it is never correct to call a cast recording a soundtrack, contributing to the vagueness of the term are projects such as The Sound of Music Live. Which was filmed live on the set for an NBC holiday season special first broadcast in 2013, film score albums did not really become popular until the LP era, although a few were issued in 78-rpm albums. Like the 1967 re-release of the film, this version of the score was artificially enhanced for stereo, in recent years, Rhino Records has released a 2-CD set of the complete Gone With the Wind score, restored to its original mono sound. One of the film scores of all time was John Williams music from the movie Star Wars. Many film score albums go out-of-print after the films finish their theatrical runs, in a few rare instances an entire film dialogue track was issued on records. The name Saregama refers to the first four notes of the Indian musical scale, in 2005, the remaining EMI stake was sold off to the parent company. The Gramophone Company is better known as HMV in India, RPG Group has been using the brand under license from the former parent company, EMI. On 3 November 2000, RPG Group changed the name to Saregama India Limited. The Recording Studio and the entire Dum Dum establishment of Saregama India Limited was built in 1928 and it is one of the oldest studios in Southeast Asia. Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore had recorded his songs and poems in his own voice at this studio, rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam’s voice was also recorded here. Artistes who have recorded at this studio include K. C. Dey, Hemanta Mukherjee, Sandhya Mukherjee, Manna Dey, Suchitra Mitra, Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, Pandit Ravi Shankar, and Ustad Bismillah Khan. Film director Satyajit Ray preferred to record his musical scores for his films at Dum Dum studio, television shows such as Dadagiri, Didi No. 1, Dance Bangla Dance and Saregamapa Lil Champs have been shot at the studio, in March 2015, Saregama relaunched its online music store, consisting of more than 117,000 downloadable songs in 15 languages in lossless WAV format. Saregama has also established relationships with iTunes, OTT services TV channels, Saregama India launched a subscription based mobile application in September 2015 which features its catalogue of Indian classical music. Majunu is a 2001 Tamil romantic thriller film directed by Ravichandran and produced by Sunanda Murali Manohar. The film features Prashanth and Rinke Khanna in the roles with Sonu Sood, Raghuvaran, Rati Agnihotri. The films score and soundtrack were composed by Harris Jayaraj, whilst Priyan handled the cinematography, the film was distributed by London-based Tamil language telechannel – Cee I TV. The film was released on 14 December 2001 and performed well at the box office, Vasanth is a son of a wealthy MP Gajapathy who hates love and against love marriage. Vasanth lives a fun-filled enjoyable life until he meets a girl while rushing to save a baby who is about to fall in a track while the girl also rushed for the same reason. He develops an attraction for that girl and again meets her in his college, meanwhile, a trap is set for MP Gajapathy to kill him by explosion in a public gathering. Heena who is on a trip to Chennai searches for some books in a book shop. The shop-keeper laughs on her fun, but the sound is actually the sound of watch alarm which she kept it inside. Heena comes again to the shop where the meeting is conducted. As planned by the terrorists the bomb explodes but Gajapathy escapes with wounds, the shop-keeper immediately points Heena to be the terrorist keeping in mind about the bomb which she mentioned during her last visit. Also circumstantial evidences are against her, hence police and Gajapathy men are in search of her but Heena escapes from them. Meanwhile, Vasanth dashes one of the terrorist accidentally and finds bombs in his bags and he immediately chases him but the terrorist kills himself by self poisoning when caught by police. Heena hides in a house which happened to be house of Vasanth, Vasanth finds her from the backyard and takes her to his room. Heena resists the charge against her and claims she is innocent, Vasanth assures that he believes her and it is his duty to send her back to Kolkata. Vasanth helps her by keeping her in his room without the knowledge of his parents, both develop an attraction for each other but Vasanth is keen to send her home. Heena finds out that he is the son of the man whom she is charged for killing attempt, Vasanth takes her to railway station and sends her to her native. Vasanth lies to his parents and leaves for Kolkata along with his friend to find his love with the hope of finding her knowing her name alone and he searches her in many colleges and finally finds her. She is happy to see again and takes him to his home, actually her brother is the mastermind in the plot for killing Gajapathy which is not known by his family

The movie was dubbed in Tamil as Vetri, the film was emerged as a cult classic. After graduation, Vasu runs a canteen, music school. His father is an IPS officer and he wants Vasu to appear for Civil Services examinations to take up IPS career, but Vasu has different plans for his future. He dreams of becoming a musician and a singer, one fine day a young IPS officer comes to Vasus places to seek the blessings of Vasus father. He admits that Vasus father is the source of inspiration for him to become an IPS officer, Vasus father dejected that his son does not heed his advice of giving civils exams, feels bad about his son. But Vasu secretly pursues his music ambitions, Vasu passes the preliminary auditions of Music Talent search conducted by Sony Music Company. When Vasus father spots the letter from Sony, he argues with his son and asks him to either be there in house, Divya falls in love with Vasu and vice versa. Minnale is a 2001 Tamil romantic comedy film written and directed by Gautham Menon. The film featured Madhavan, Abbas and Reemma Sen in the lead, with Vivek, the films soundtrack was composed by newcomer Harris Jayaraj, which became very successful prior to release, helping the film at the box office. Marketed as a Valentines Day release, Minnale opened to reviews from critics. This movie was dubbed into Telugu as Cheli, the movie opens in an engineering college in Ooty with a narration of the characters by Rajesh Shivkumar. Rajiv Samuel is an engineering student and is one of the top students in the college. A mutual problem between the two led by both Rajiv and Rajesh puts both of them at loggerheads and they pull pranks on each other to get the other in trouble. It culminates into a fist fight but is broken up by one of their Teacher. In the fight, Rajesh punches Rajiv in the face, which is against the rule, Rajiv goes abroad for job, while Rajesh stays back in India saying that he does not want to leave his motherland. A few years later, Rajesh becomes responsible and settles in an IT job that involves teaching software classes for newcomers and interns. Rajesh lives with his librarian grandfather Subrahmanyam aka Subbuni, who means the world to him, Rajesh, on a trip to a friend’s wedding in Bangalore, comes across Reena and is smitten by her beauty but does not get to meet her. To his pleasant surprise, he sees her again in Chennai, a friend of Rajesh, Chockalingam, spots Reena’s friend Vasuki in a market one day and recognizes her from the wedding pictures. They both extract information about Reenas whereabouts from Vasuki, posing as her family friend, goaded by his Subbuni and his friends, Rajesh decides to enter Reena’s life pretending to be Rajiv. Within a few days of hanging out with other, both fall in love with each other. Before Rajesh could actually tell Reena the truth, the real Rajiv comes to Chennai, Reena is shocked to learn that the person she loves is an imposter. Rajesh comes clean with Reena and pleads to be forgiven, but Reena is adamant that she not want to talk to Rajesh anymore. Chockalingam takes his friends and Rajesh to meet Rajiv to force him to break up the engagement with Reena and they are surprised when they learn that Rajiv is actually Rajiv Samuel, Rajeshs foe from his college days. Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, K. K. or Kay Kay, On 22 January 2008, KK released his second album Humsafar after a gap of eight years. The songs Aasman Ke, Dekho Na, Yeh Kahan Mil Gaye Hum, besides, KK had also sung an English Rock Ballad Cineraria. The title track, Humsafar is a mix of English and Hindi lyrics, the album Humsafar has 10 songs, out of which eight have been composed by KK. The other two songs were taken from his previous album Pal, KK has also sung many television serial songs like Just Mohabbat, Shaka Laka Boom Boom, Kuch Jhuki Si Palkein, Kavyanjali, Just Dance. He has also sung the song for Star Parivaar Awards 2010 with Shreya Ghoshal. He was invited as member for a talent hunt show Fame Gurukul. KK also has sung a song named Tanha Chala for famous Pakistani TV show THE GHOST which was aired on Hum TV in 2008, the song was composed by Farrukh Abid & Shoiab Farrukh & Momina Duraid penned the lyrics. KK participated in the latest musical venture of MTV India Coke Studio, there he sang one qawwali Chadta Suraj along with Sabri Brothers and a recomposed version of his exquisite track Tu Aashiqui Hai from movie Jhankaar Beats. Sukhwinder Singh is an Indian Bollywood playback singer. Singh is famous for singing Chaiyya Chaiyya for which he won the Best Male Playback Award at the 1999 Filmfare Awards. The song, from Mani Ratnams 1998 film Dil Se. was composed by A. R. Rahman, written by Gulzar, and sung in duet with Sapna Awasthi. It was also featured in the musical Bombay Dreams and, in remixed arrangements, in the titles and credits segments of Spike Lees 2006 film and his rendition for the 2014 released film Haider fetched him the National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer. Singh originally comes from Amritsar, Punjab. He first performed on stage at the age of 8, singing the Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar number Sa re ga ma pa, pa, pa, ga ma re, ga re mere sang mere saajna, from the 1970 movie Abhinetri. He also released a Punjabi album called Munda Southhall Da with T. Singh joined Laxmikant-Pyarelal’s troupe and quickly became a music arranger, at this time he did a film called Rakshakudu. Singh got his break in the movie Karma, in which he sang a few lines, then he did a Madhuri Dixit film called Khilaaf, in which he sang the hit song Aa ja Sanam. But the singer realised that something was missing in his voice, took a sabbatical and left Mumbai to tour England and America to see, hear, after this broadening of his musical horizons, he returned to Mumbai to kick-start his musical career. His first effort in Hindi films, Aaja Sanam, went largely unnoticed, then for Dil Se. A. R. Rahman used Sukhwinder for Chaiyya Chaiyya. The other films that followed – including Taal, Biwi No,1,1947 Earth, Daag, Jaanwar, Dillagi, Moksha, Thakshak, Tere Naam, Apna Sapna Money Money, Shadi Se Pehle, Shabd, Chak de. India, Om Shanti Om and Black and White- that have him a household name. He has been received for providing playback singing for Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan in a total of 7 songs. Of these, Chaiyya Chaiyya from Dil Se, dard-E-Disco from Om Shanti Om, Chak De India from Chak De. India, Haule Haule from Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Marjaani from Billu, in June 2014, he participated in the 7th season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. It also won the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for a Motion Picture and he has been awarded the National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer at the 62nd National Film Awards for his rendition in the 2014 film Haider composed by Vishal Bhardwaj.
