Diego Luna Alexander is a Mexican actor, producer and director. After starring in early in his career, he has appeared in many films, including Y tu mamá también, Dirty Dancing, Havana Nights, Rudo y Cursi. He also provided the Spanish language narration for the National Geographic Channel documentary Great Migrations, Fiona died in a car accident when Luna was two years old. She had worked in the industry and made sure that this was a life in which Luna would be immersed. His father also reinforced the importance of theatre and the arts in his life. When Luna was a child, his father would bring him to the sets and mentor him in different aspects of art, furthering in him a desire to become an actor, from an early age, Luna began acting in television, film and stage. His next role was in the telenovela El Abuelo y Yo with his childhood best friend, in 1995, he played the role of Laura Leóns troubled son Quique in the Mexican soap opera El premio mayor. Luna and García Bernal starred in the acclaimed film Y tu mamá también. Luna has made a name for himself in the United States market, having starred alongside Jon Bon Jovi in Vampires, Los Muertos and he also starred in Open Range, Dirty Dancing, Havana Nights, The Terminal and Criminal. In 2008, he starred in the Harvey Milk biopic Milk as his emotionally unstable lover, in 2011, Luna played the male lead in Katy Perrys music video for The One That Got Away. In June 2012, he began directing his first English-language film Cesar Chávez, a biopic about the life of the American labor leader, who founded the United Farm Workers. During the same year, Luna and Bernal starred together for the fourth time, on 20 March 2015, he joined the cast for Ana Lily Amirpours cannibal film The Bad Batch. In 2016, he was a member of the jury for the Un Certain Regard section of the 2016 Cannes Film Festival and he played Cassian Andor in the Star Wars spin-off anthology film Rogue One. Luna married Camila Sodi on 5 February 2008 and they had a son, Jerónimo, and a daughter, Fiona, naming after Lunas mother. They announced their separation in March 2013 and later divorced and he and García Bernal co-founded Ambulante A. C. their organization and film festival that works to bring documentary films to places where they are rarely shown. Take My Eyes is a 2003 Spanish romantic drama film directed by Icíar Bollaín, starring Laia Marull and Luis Tosar. This film was nominated for the Ariel Award in 2005 in the category Best Iberoamerican Film. Pilar, a housewife living in Toledo, gathers a few belongings one night. They find shelter with Pilars sister, Ana, who is soon to marry her Scottish live-in boyfriend, Pilars husband, Antonio, tries to make her change her mind, but she is tired and fearful of his abusive behavior. Determined to start a new life on her own, Pilar sends her sister to retrieve her belongings from the apartment she shared with her estranged husband, once there, Ana discovers through medical bills that her sister has also been physically abused by Antonio. When he arrives, they have a confrontation, Antonio still loves his wife, but he cannot control his short temper and violent outbursts. Trying to bring Pilar back, he joins an anger management group of married men who want to change their behavior towards their wives. With her sisters encouragement, Pilar finds a job in the shop of a local tourist attraction. Pilar begins to study in order to become a tour guide, despite Anas protests, her mother Aurora invites Antonio to Juans birthday party. Pilar still loves Antonio despite his abusive behavior, Juan misses his father and Pilar begins to soften her attitude towards her husband. When they have a chance to talk, Antonio tells her he wants to change and is enrolled in group therapy and he has to learn to deal with his frustration as a salesman in an appliance store. Pilar soon warms up to him again, and they begin to sneak out for secret meetings, Pilar, with the full support of her mother, takes Antonio to Anas wedding. The two sisters argue after Pilar tells Ana that she is going back to her husband, at first Pilar and Antonio are happy to be back together. Encouraged by his wife, Antonio continues with his anger management therapy, but, he feels threatened by Pilars economic independence as she continues to work in the gift shop. Pilar applies for a job as a guide in a museum in Madrid. They would have to leave Toledo and live in Madrid, but Antonio is afraid to move, Pilars efforts to convince him that if she gets the job and they move to Madrid it would be beneficial fall on deaf ears. The day of her job interview, as a coworker is waiting for her outside the flat to take her there and he tears off Pilars clothes and locks her stark naked in the balcony for all the neighbors to see. After this humiliation, Pilar threatens to leave Antonio, who responds by attempting suicide by cutting, after this final assault, Pilar leaves Antonio for good

My Life Without Me is a 2003 Canadian drama film directed by Isabel Coixet and starring Sarah Polley, Mark Ruffalo, Scott Speedman, and Leonor Watling. Based on the book Pretending the Bed Is a Raft by Nanci Kincaid, it tells a story of a 23-year-old woman, with a husband, the film was produced by Pedro Almodóvars production company, El Deseo. Ann is a hard-working 23-year-old mother with two daughters, an unemployed husband, a mother who sees her life as a failure. Her life changes dramatically when, during a medical checkup following a collapse, she is diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Deciding not to anyone of her condition and using the cover of anemia. She decides to change her hair, record birthday messages for the girls for every year until theyre 18, and tries to set up her husband with another woman. Feeling a longing to experience a life that was never available to her and her experiment ends up taking an emotional toll when she meets with a man named Lee, who ends up madly in love with her and is left heartbroken when Ann breaks up. He meets with her one last time and says that he will do anything to make her happy, taking care of her daughters and she ends their relationship and never tells him that she is dying. At the end of the film, Ann records a message to her husband, telling him that she loves him and she then leaves all tapes that she has recorded with her doctor, asking him to deliver them after her death. The Soldiers of Salamis is a 2003 Spanish film directed by David Trueba, based on the book by Javier Cercas. Starring Ariadna Gil and Ramón Fontserè, the film was nominated for eight Goya Awards in 2004 and it was also screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2003 Cannes Film Festival. The exteriors of the film were shot in Girona, a novelist who has abandoned her writing career tracks down the details of a true story from the last days of the Spanish Civil War. The writer and Falangist Rafael Sánchez Mazas faced a squad along with fifty other prisoners. A Republican soldier, apparently one of searching the area for the escaped prisoner, found him. The novelist pieces together the fragments of the story, plagued by contradictions and mysterious characters, and comes to realize that her search for the truth is a personal quest of self-discovery

Isabel Coixet Castillo is a Spanish film director. In 1996, she made her first feature in English, Things I Never Told You, in this moving drama, the cast was made up of American actors led by Lili Taylor and Andrew McCarthy. Coixet achieved her second nomination at the Goya Awards for Best Original Screenplay, then, in 1988, in association with a French production company, Coixet came back to a script in Spanish to direct the historical adventure A los que aman. This Spanish/Canadian coproduction was strongly praised at the Berlin International Film Festival, Coixet kept on working with Polley in a new movie, The Secret Life of Words, where Tim Robbins and Javier Cámara were costars. This movie was the recipient of four Goya Awards, Best Film, Best Director, Best Production and it was awarded at October 2003 Human Rights Film Festival. It was shot at Vancouver, and produced by Lakeshore Entertainment, based on Philip Roth’s novel The Dying Animal, the screenplay by Nicholas Meyer, Elegy was introduced at the 58th Berlin International Film Festival. In 2009, Map of the sounds of Tokio was released at the Cannes International Film Festival and it was shot in Japan and Barcelona, and starred by Rinko Kikuchi, Sergi López and Min Tanaka, the script was written by Coixet herself. That same year, she inaugurates From I to J at the Santa Mònica Art Center, also, she became member of the jury at the 59th Berlinale. In 2010, she took on the content in one of the three Spanish Pavilion lounges for the Expo Shangai China, in addition, she inaugurated the exhibition “Aral. El mar perdido, ” where it was shown an homonymous documentary shoot in Uzbekistan in 2009, in 2011, Coixet released Escuchando al Juez Garzón at the Berlinale Specials, a section of the Berlin International Film Festival. When Polley turned 18, she decided to follow up on suggestions from her mothers friends that her father might be Geoff Bowes—one of three castmates from her mothers play in Montreal. Meeting with Gulkin as just someone who could provide information about Diane in Montreal, bowes and Michael Polley also confirmed, in Stories We Tell, that they had sexual relations with Diane during the run of the Montreal play. Gulkins paternity was later confirmed by a DNA test, Polley attended Subway Academy II, then Earl Haig Secondary School, but dropped out at age 15. Her first cinematic appearance was at the age of four, as Molly in the Disney film One Magic Christmas. Fernando Tejero Muñoz-Torrero is a Spanish actor. Since he was young, Tejero knew he wanted to be an actor. However his father wanted Tejero to become a bullfighter, during his childhood and adolescence in Córdoba, Andalucía. Tejero studied acting at the Escuela de Arte Dramático de Córdoba, the Centro Andaluz de Teatro, as a struggling actor, Tejero worked with his parents in a seafood market. According to Tejero, during period in his life, he had his first bad experience with showbusiness. He said he met a very famous Spanish actress with whom he had a cordial conversation and she ignored him and looked at him with contempt when she discovered he worked at a seafood market. Tejero went on to perform in bit parts in Spanish movies and he was able to establish a bond with a production company called Animalario. In 2003, he was offered a role in Días de fútbol, in that same year, during the casting of the now-famous Spanish ensemble comedy Aquí no hay quien viva, he was originally offered the part of Paco, the video store clerk. However, a new role was created for him, that of Emilio, the concierge. With the shows success, Tejero has become a household name in Spain.
