The 2001 French Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, Magny-Cours, France on 1 July 2001 before a crowd of 120,717 people. It was the tenth race of the 2001 Formula One World Championship and the 51st French Grand Prix as part of the series. Ferrari driver Michael Schumacher won the 72-lap race starting from second position. Ralf Schumacher finished second for the Williams team with Rubens Barrichello third in the other Ferrari.

It featured the 2001 Formula One World Championship for Drivers and the 2001 Formula One World Championship for Constructors, which were contested concurrently over a seventeen-race series that commenced on 4 March and ended on 14 October.
Michael Schumacher won his second title in a row with Ferrari, his fourth overall.
McLaren's David Coulthard (pictured here in 1995) finished runner-up, 58 points behind.
Schumacher's teammate, Rubens Barrichello, finished the season ranked third.
Ferrari won the 2001 Formula One World Championship for Constructors.
