The women's 400 metres at the 2007 World Championships in Athletics was held at the Nagai Stadium on 26, 27 and 29 August.

Vera Barbosa is a Portuguese track and field athlete. She initially competed for Cape Verde, switching to represent Portugal after 2008. At the 400 metres hurdles event at the 2012 Summer Olympics, in the heats she set a new national record with 55.22 seconds.
