2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship
The 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship was the eleventh season of the third-tier of Formula One feeder championship and also second season under the moniker of FIA Formula 3 Championship, a multi-event motor racing championship for single-seat open-wheel formula racing cars. The championship featured drivers competing in 3.4-litre Formula 3 racing cars which conformed to the technical regulations, or formula, of the championship. It ran in support of the Formula 1 World Championship and its sister series, Formula 2, serving as the third tier of formula racing in the FIA Global Pathway.
Oscar Piastri became the second FIA Formula 3 Champion.
Prema Racing entered the season as the defending Teams' Champions and successfully secured back to back teams titles after the first race at Monza.
2020 Formula One World Championship
The 2020 FIA Formula One World Championship was the motor racing championship for Formula One cars which was the 71st running of the Formula One World Championship. It marked the 70th anniversary of the first Formula One World Drivers' Championship. The championship was recognised by the governing body of international motorsport, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), as the highest class of competition for open-wheel racing cars. Drivers and teams competed for the titles of World Drivers' Champion and World Constructors' Champion, respectively.
Lewis Hamilton secured his seventh Drivers' Championship, equalling the record of most Championships.
Valtteri Bottas was runner-up, also driving for Mercedes.
Max Verstappen finished the season in third place, driving for Red Bull Racing-Honda.
Mercedes secured their seventh consecutive Constructors' Championship.
