31st Golden Raspberry Awards
The 31st Golden Raspberry Awards, or Razzies, was a parodic award ceremony that was held on February 26, 2011, at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre in Hollywood, California, to identify the worst films the film industry had to offer in 2010, according to votes from members of the Golden Raspberry Foundation. Razzies co-founder John J. B. Wilson has stated that the intent of the awards is "to be funny." The nominations were announced on January 24. Per Razzies tradition, both the nominee announcements and ceremony preceded the corresponding Academy Awards functions by one day. The Last Airbender was the big winner of 2010, with five awards, including Worst Picture.

The Last Airbender (film)
The Last Airbender is a 2010 American action adventure fantasy film written, co-produced, and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. It is based on Book One: Water, the first season of the 2005–08 animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. The film stars Noah Ringer, Dev Patel, Nicola Peltz, Jackson Rathbone, Shaun Toub, Aasif Mandvi, and Cliff Curtis. The plot follows Aang, a young Avatar who must master all four elements of air, water, fire, and earth and restore balance to the world while stopping the Fire Nation from conquering the Water Tribes and the Earth Kingdom.
Noah Ringer made his acting debut in the film as Aang. A practitioner of Taekwondo, Ringer shaved his head to stay cool during his training. His resemblance to the television series' protagonist led to him being nicknamed "Avatar".
