Snugglebunny went on to fly combat missions with the 98th Bomb Group in the Korean War. Forever Amber would be lost during Mission #45 on June 5th, 1945. The target was Kobe, Japan, during a daylight raid. Forever Amber was able to limp back to base, where the aircraft was deemed no longer fit for service.
