Bad Salzdetfurth

Bad Salzdetfurth is a town on the banks of the River Lamme in the district of Hildesheim, in Lower Saxony, Germany. The municipality includes the town itself, 12 civil parishes which were incorporated in 1974: Bodenburg Breinum Detfurth Groß Düngen Klein Düngen Heinde Hockeln Lechstedt Listringen Östrum Wehrstedt Wesseln In 1194, Salzdetfurth was mentioned in a document for the first time; the place was devastated by flood several times. The worst flood occurred in 1738; the word "Bad" meaning "spa" was added to the name in 1921. On 22 March 1945, during a heavy air raid on Hildesheim, Bad Salzderfurth was hit by several bombs and two houses in Goettingstrasse were destroyed. Bad Salzdetfurth was awarded "town" status in 1949; each of the villages incorporated in 1974 has its own traditions. Björn Gryschka was elected the new mayor in January 2019. There are various sights in each of the villages. There are many well-preserved half-timbered houses in the old town centre, such as the Miners' Guild Hall dating from 1898, in the village of Wesseln.

The Catholic Church of St. Gallus at Detfurth was built in a classicist style in the period 1772 to 1779. Other interesting village churches and chapels can be seen in Hockeln, Breinum, Östrum and Klein Düngen; the Church of St. John the Baptist in Wesseln was built in a typical neogothic style in 1853-55; the largest church in Bad Salzdetfurth itself is St. George's Church, a Protestant church with a painted wooden ceiling, built around 1700. In the west wall a mark, 3 metres above ground level, indicates the height of the flood waters of the River Lamme in 1738; the baroque altar dates from 1717. The organ, dating from 1590 stood in St. Lamberti, Hildesheim. There is a municipal museum dedicated to the mining history of Bad Salzdetfurth; the brick building which now houses the museum was a school. The museum was founded in 1987; the most modern church in Bad Salzdetfurth is the Catholic Holy Family Church, built 1960-61 and consecrated on 3 September 1961. Its organ dates from 1979. Few Catholics lived in Bad Salzdetfurth.

After the Second World War, many Catholic refugees from Silesia settled in the town. Bad Salzdetfurth can be reached from Hildesheim by train; the railway station is in the middle of the town. There are railway halting places in the villages Bodenburg, Detfurth and Groß Düngen as well. On working days, there is at least one train per hour to and from Hildesheim. On Sundays and public holidays there is one train every two hours. Reiff's Antique Gas Station Automotive Museum

Reiff's Gas Station Museum is a museum in Woodland, California, best known for its collection of antique gas pumps, gas station signs and other car culture memorabilia from the 1960s, 1950s and before. The collections are displayed throughout 10,000 square feet of exhibit space. A meeting room of 650 square feet and an outdoor patio of 900 square feet can be reserved for meetings and special events; the museum provides photo shoot locations where owners can bring their vintage cars to be photographed in the antique scenes within the museum. Mark Reiff's entire home was converted into a museum that provides a nostalgic tribute to the old time car culture of the 1950s and 1960s. Exhibits include the antique gas station, 1956 Chevy tow truck, general store, movie theater, car crash, airplane crash, vintage gas station signs & logos and other antique automotive memorabilia. Tours of Reiff's Museum are available throughout the year by appointment only. Reiff's Automotive Museum hosts the annual Reiff's Street Bash on every second Saturday in June.

Felicia Chin

Felicia Chin Foong Ling, once known by her Chinese stage name Chen Jing Xuan 陈靓瑄 from 2008 to 2013 is a Singaporean actress was named as one of the Seven Princesses of Mediacorp in 2006. In 2013, she decided to use her given Chinese name instead for her acting career. Chin was educated at Tanjong Katong Girls' School and Victoria Junior College, where she was schoolmates with fellow artiste Lee Teng; as an avid softball player, she joined Singapore's national softball team in 2000, becoming the youngest member to join the team. She left the team three years later, she won the National Inter-School A Division Softball Girls championship title with VJC in 2002. In 2001, her father died due to cancer, thus wishing for a complete family in the future in a 2004 interview. In 2016, it was revealed that Jeffrey Xu, a Mediacorp Chinese actor are dating. In 2003, Chin participated in MediaCorp Channel 8's Star Search Singapore television programme and emerged as overall female champion of the contest, she took after being advised to do so.

Chin worked at MediaCorp as an actress, making her debut role in the 2003 television drama Always on My Mind. In 2006, she had her first time being the first female lead in The Beginning, a Singapore-Malaysia co-production. Chin is one of the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes of MediaCorp. In Star Awards 2006, Chin was nominated for Best Supporting Actress. In Star Awards 2009 & Star Awards 2015, Chin was nominated for Best Actress. Chin cites top actress Huang Biren as someone. In May 2010, Chin announced that she would be switching to part-time acting to study for a BBA degree in the National University of Singapore Business School. In 2012, Chin told the Singaporean magazine 8 Days that she would be in Shanghai for one year as part of the NUS Overseas Colleges programme. In 2013, Chin announced that she would be returning to full-time acting without completing her studies, she decided to use her given name instead. Chin has gotten 9 out of 10 Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes from 2003–2006, 2015–2019 respectively.
