Birchwood is a district and suburb of Lincoln in Lincolnshire, England. The district population in the 2021 Census was 8,932. It is located midway between Skellingthorpe and Boultham. Birchwood and Doddington Park are built on the site of the Second World War airfield RAF Skellingthorpe which had hosted No. 50 Squadron and No. 61 Squadron.

Skellingthorpe is a village and civil parish in the North Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. The population of the village at the 2011 census was 3,465. It is situated 3 miles (5 km) west of Lincoln, 4 miles (6 km) southeast of Saxilby, 6 miles (10 km) northwest of North Hykeham and 15 miles (24 km) east of Tuxford.
