Boden is a locality and the seat of Boden Municipality in Norrbotten County, Sweden with 18,277 inhabitants in 2010. It is part of the larger area around coastal city Luleå some 36 kilometres southeast. Alongside Kiruna, it is one of the two largest towns in Northern Sweden's interior; the town of Boden started as a railway junction where the Northern Line met with the Ore Line from the rich iron ore fields in northern Sweden. The town experienced increased growth when the Boden Fortress was constructed in the beginning of the 20th century; the purpose of the fortress was to defend Sweden from a possible attack from the east, where Russia was considered the most dangerous threat. The first official writings about Boden, was in a 1500~ tax paper, where the mention of "Boden village" with 7 homes. Boden got the title of city in 1919; this title became obsolete in 1971 and Boden is now the seat of Boden Municipality. Today Boden is still a military stronghold, houses the largest garrison of the Swedish Army.
The army and the municipality are the two largest employers in Boden. As the military is continuously disarming, with the five regiments united into one garrison, the population has decreased by 2,000 people over the past ten years; the famous Fällkniven knives are from Boden. Tanner Ackley Anderson is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Oakland Athletics organization. He has played in Major League Baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Oakland Athletics. After graduating from Plant High School in Tampa, Anderson enrolled at Harvard University where he played college baseball for the Harvard Crimson; as a senior at Harvard he pitched to a 0–4 record with a 4.08 ERA in 13 games. After his senior year, he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 20th round of the 2015 MLB draft, he signed. After signing, Anderson was assigned to the Bristol Pirates where he was 4–0 with a 2.38 ERA in 12 relief appearances. At the end of the season, he was promoted and pitched six relief innings for the West Virginia Black Bears in which he was 1–0 with a 4.50 ERA. In 2016, he pitched for the West Virginia Power and the Bradenton Marauders where he posted a combined 3–3 record and 3.58 ERA in 36 games pitched between both clubs. Anderson moved into the starting rotation for the Altoona Curve in 2017, going 10–8 with a 3.38 ERA in 30 games.
He began 2018 with the Indianapolis Indians. Anderson was called up to the major leagues by the Pirates on June 27, 2018. In 24 relief appearances for Indianapolis prior to his promotion he was 1–1 with a 2.34 ERA. On November 20, 2018, Anderson was traded to the Oakland Athletics in exchange for a player to be named, revealed to be 18-year-old RHP Wilkin Ramos. Duan Liuyu is a Chinese footballer playing as a midfielder for Shandong Luneng. Duan Liuyu started to play football at the age of five. In 2010, he was admitted to Cuiyuan Middle School as a football special student. Duan Liuyu has a nick name "Glasses striker" because of wearing glasses during school years. In 2013, Duan was selected into China U-16 national team to play 2014 AFC U-16 Championship. Duan Liuyu was graduated from Cuiyuan High school in Shenzhen. On January 19, 2015, Duan Liuyu joined Shandong Luneng as a youth player with a broken record 1 million RMB transfer fee. Right after the contract signing, Duan Liuyu was sent to São Paulo FC youth training camp for a two year training program. On July 15, 2018, Shandong Luneng announced the moving of Duan Liuyu to the first team's roaster.
