Candidates Tournament 2024
The 2024 Candidates Tournament was an eight-player chess tournament, held to determine the challenger for the World Chess Championship 2024. The tournament took place at The Great Hall in Toronto, Canada, from April 3–22, 2024. The event was held alongside the Women's Candidates Tournament. The event was won by Gukesh D, which made him the youngest ever winner of a Candidates Tournament, and the youngest ever World Chess Championship challenger.
Gukesh D, the winner of the tournament, will advance to the World Chess Championship 2024 match.

World Chess Championship 2024
The World Chess Championship 2024 will be a chess match between the reigning world champion Ding Liren and the challenger Gukesh Dommaraju to determine the World Chess Champion. The match is provisionally scheduled between November 20 and December 15, 2024, with the location yet to be announced. It will be played to a best of 14 games, with tiebreaks if required.
