Cheltenham (UK Parliament constituency)
Cheltenham is a constituency in Gloucestershire represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 1832. As with all constituencies, it elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election at least every five years. Since 2015, its MP has been Alex Chalk, who was appointed Secretary of State for Justice in 2023.

Alexander John Gervase Chalk is a British politician and barrister serving as Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice since April 2023. A member of the Conservative Party, he was elected Member of Parliament (MP) for Cheltenham in 2015. Chalk has previously served in other positions in the Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Defence, and as Solicitor General for England and Wales.
