Coburg North is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 9 km (5.6 mi) north of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the Cities of Darebin and Merri-bek local government areas. Coburg North recorded a population of 8,327 at the 2021 census.

Merlynston railway station is located on the Upfield line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the northern Melbourne suburb of Coburg North and opened on 8 October 1889 as North Coburg. It closed on 13 July 1903, and reopened on 1 October 1914. On 6 February 1922, it was renamed Merlynston.
