Concepcion, officially the Municipality of Concepcion, is a 1st class municipality in the province of Tarlac, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 169,953 people.

Benigno Simeon "Igno" Aquino, Sr. (September 4, 1894 – December 20, 1947), also known as Benigno S. Aquino or Benigno Aquino Sr., was a Filipino politician who served as Speaker of the National Assembly of the Second Philippine Republic from 1943 to 1944. His grandson Benigno S. Aquino III is the former President of the Philippines. He is also the father of former Senator Ninoy Aquino.

Benigno "Ninoy" Simeon Aquino Jr., was a Filipino politician who served as a senator of the Philippines (1967–1972) and governor of the province of Tarlac. Aquino was the husband of Corazon Aquino, who became the 11th president of the Philippines after his assassination, and father of Benigno Aquino III, who became the 15th president of the Philippines. Aquino, together with Gerardo Roxas and Jovito Salonga, helped form the leadership of the opposition towards then President Ferdinand Marcos. He was the significant leader who together with the intellectual leader Sen. Jose W. Diokno led the overall opposition.
