Fate is a city located in the center of Rockwall County, Texas, United States. The population in 2020 was 17,958, an increase from 6,357 in 2010, and 602 in 2000. In 2022, Fate's population was estimated to have grown to just under 23,000.
Downtown Fate
The Villages of Fate is the first mixed-use building in downtown Fate. This award winning building was the first building project in the downtown revitalization program.
In February of 2017, Fate finished construction of the new City Hall. The original City Hall was in downtown, but moved north to CD Boren and SH 66 for more space.
The "Fate Brought Us Here" by Caleb Jacks was the first mural to be installed in the downtown district. Currently in 2022 there are three murals.
Texas State Highway 66

State Highway 66 is a state highway in the U.S. state of Texas, connecting Garland to Greenville. The route runs roughly parallel to Interstate 30, passing through Rowlett, Rockwall, Fate, Royse City, and Caddo Mills. It also crosses Lake Ray Hubbard twice. It is known locally as Lakeview Parkway in Rowlett and as Avenue B in Garland.
