Fettes Brot

Fettes Brot are a German hip hop group who formed in 1992. Fettes Brot means fat bread in German. "Fett" is a German slang term for "excellent" and brot is slang for "hash". The band took the name from a fan who called them "Fettes Brot" after an early gig, meant as a compliment, but the members considered it so bizarre that they took it as the name for their new group. Fettes Brot's longevity has meant that they are sometimes referred to as "Hamburg's hip-hop-dinosaurs" by the group members; when the group Poets of Peeze disbanded in 1992, its members Dokter Renz and Tobi Tobsen together with König Boris and Mighty founded the band Fettes Brot. The Schmidt brothers left the newly founded band early on, to pursue other projects, the band released their first album, the EP Mitschnacker on Yo Mama Records, as a trio. Prior to Mitschnacker the songs Schwarzbrot- Weißbrot and Schule der Gewalt appeared on the sampler, Endzeit 93, released via the Independent record label Wilde Welt Records; the group's first commercial success first came with the single Nordisch by Nature and the album from which the single comes.

The song begins with the sound of a foghorn and is performed in parts in "Hamburger Platt" north German dialect, a strong Low German accent, Danish, which has made the song something of an anthem in Northern Germany. The single remained in the German charts for a full month but the band was determined not to let this initial commercial success become a one hit wonder; the group demonstrated their technical maturity with their first LP Auf einem Auge blöd, which boasts versatile and humorous lyrics. The narrated stories and interwoven raps were received well. A year Fettes Brot released their second biggest commercial hit and quasi-anthem Jein; the main line of the song's chorus asks the question: „Soll ich's wirklich machen oder lass ich's lieber sein?" and led to a strong fan base being established in German speaking countries. Further singles included Außen Top Hits, innen Geschmack were just as successful; the rapper Dendemann had his first introduction to the mainstream in his collaboration track, Wildwechsel with Max Herre, Blumentopf and Der Tobi & das Bo which became representative of these artists.

Fettes Brot were at this time active in other areas: For instance, they created a unique radio transmission called Forellentee for Radio Fritz. After their initial success, the group began to experiment with a softer sound and released the single Können diese Augen lügen? from the album Fettes Brot lässt grüßen. Many purists voiced criticism as the band explored new paths and no longer focussed on a pure Hip Hop music style. Viele Wege führen nach Rom and Lieblingslied were successful as a double A-sided single and become an bigger hit than both previous albums. With the cooperation of James Last, the trio took a break from song-writing in 1999, embarked on a creative pause; this break was announced to fans with via the publishing of an anthology of B-sides and some exclusive material. Beginner, Smudo of the Fantastischen Vier as well as Der Tobi & Das Bo made personal contributions to this anthology. Furthermore, the successful single Da draußen was released as a collectors edition in 2000. After three years, in 2001, the fourth Fettes Brot album was released.

The trio marketed a small comeback with the title Demotape using new alternative pseudonyms. The hit singles Schwule Mädchen and The Grosser could not be categorized into a musical style. Additionally they released a collaboration with Skunk Funk, a pure Hip Hop single called Fast 30. Only a year in early 2002 they released their Greatest Hits Compilation Amnesie and a DVD of the same name with extra short films. Three more singles were released, beginning in 2002 with Welthit, from their Greatest Hits CD. In 2003 they released the Rio Reiser cover Ich bin müde, written by Reiser and Wolfgang Michels for Michels' 1983 album Keine Probleme, which received extensive exposure on television, they made the collaboration Tanzverbot available as a legal MP3 download, as part of the Hamburg Bambule protest alongside Bela B. against the Hamburg senator Ronald Schill. In 2004, the group founded their own record label, Fettes Brot Schallplatten GmbH. In 2005, the group represented Schleswig-Holstein in the Bundesvision Song Contest 2005, with the song "Emanuela", placing 2nd with 130 points.

A few days on Valentine's Day the single rose to third place on the singles charts. On 21 May 2005 their most successful album to date was released; the album was entitled Am Wasser gebaut (Literally "Built by the water", but is also

Marian Movement of Priests

The Marian Movement of Priests is a private association of Catholic clergy and lay associate members founded by Italian priest Fr. Stefano Gobbi in 1972. According to the MMP, its members now include over 400 Catholic cardinals and bishops, more than 100,000 Catholic priests, several million lay Catholics worldwide. On May 8, 1972, Father Gobbi, an Italian priest from Milan, was on a pilgrimage to Fátima and was praying in the Shrine of Our Lady of Fátima for some priests who had given up their vocations and were planning to rebel against the Roman Catholic Church. On that day he reported his first alleged interior locution from the Virgin Mary. Father Gobbi reported that the inner voice urged him to have confidence in the Immaculate Heart of Mary and to gather those priests that would be willing to consecrate themselves to Immaculate Heart of Mary and be united with the Pope and the Catholic Church. According to Father Gobbi he prayed to Saint Mary for a confirmation of the inner voice, which he reported as receiving in May 1972 while praying in the Church of the Annunciation in Nazareth.

After consultations with his spiritual advisor, in October 1972 he and two other priests met in a church in Gera Lario in Como and published a notice of the movement in some Catholic and local newspapers. In September 1973, twenty-five of the eighty Catholic priests who had by joined the movement held the first national gathering of the MMP in San Vittorino near Rome. Beginning in 1974, Father Gobbi began holding cenacles of prayer for priests and Catholics in general; the MMP is now based in Milan, with branches worldwide. The Marian Movement of Priests in the United States was established in 1975, is based in St. Francis, Maine. In July 1973, Father Gobbi began to write his interior locutions as messages which he attributed to the Virgin Mary; the messages from July 1973 to December 1997 were published in the book: "To the Priests, Our Lady's Beloved Sons." These messages have now become the de facto hand book of the MMP. There are 604 messages in the book and they span over 24 years of Father Gobbi's life.

The book shows the dates of the messages and is thus a record of Father Gobbi's travels as he holds prayer cenacles. Most messages have a somewhat maternal tone and they ask the faithful to follow Jesus and not deviate from His path. For instance, message number 110 of September 25, 1976, warns against diluting the words of the Gospel and creating “your own Gospel with your own words” rather than following the original teachings of Jesus. In October 1994, Archbishop Agostino Cacciavillan wrote a letter in which he stated that some officials within the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith at the Vatican had informed him that they believe Father Gobbi's locutions to be his own meditations and not messages from the Virgin Mary. To that end, Father Gobbi was asked to refer to the locutions as his own meditations rather than messages from the Virgin Mary, but Father Gobbi said that he could not, in good conscience, do so for he believed the messages to be true interior locutions and he sought further clarification from the Holy See.

To date, there is no formal record that the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith has taken an official position regarding Father Gobbi's messages. The MMP therefore continues to meet in Rome with the permission and participation of Catholic cardinals and bishops who attribute the locutions to Holy Mary. Pope John Paul II, who had a personal devotion to the Virgin Mary, met with and celebrated mass with Father Gobbi in his private papal chapel in the Vatican on an annual basis for several years. In November 1993, Pope John Paul II provided an official papal blessing for the American branch of the MMP in St. Francis, but did not offer an imprimatur for the book; the fundamental concept of the MMP today remains the same as the basic concept expressed in the initial interior locution that Father Gobi reported on May 8, 1972, in Fátima, Portugal. The concept is to encourage priests and laity to unite with the Pope through the Immaculate Heart of Mary to strengthen the Catholic Church.

The three fundamental spiritual values of the MMP are formally expressed in Father Gobi’s circulars 21, 23, 24 as: personal consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and devotion to the Pope, leading the faithful to trust the Virgin Mary. The MMP does not have its own distinct doctrine for consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary but relies on the general consecration doctrine provided by the Holy See; the concept of unity and devotion to the Pope embeds the concept of a return to the original divine teachings of Jesus which the MMP views as being diluted through modern human interpretations and multiple rationalizations. The concept of leading the faithful to the Virgin Mary is expressed in message number 25 of November 1, 1973, in which priests are asked to gather the faithful around them as "invincible cohort" to follow the path of Jesus; the MMP places special emphasis on the power of praying the Holy Rosary and Eucharistic Adoration as effective means of strengthening the Church.

In the tradition of the MMP, Saint Mary calls the members of the MMP to meet in "Cenacles" as the Apostles met in prayer and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist in the upper room when the Holy Spirit descended upon them. They are called to pray to Jesus through Saint Mary, since it was through her that the Church, the Body of Christ, was born, they are called to include after each Rosary decade two prayers: the Act of Love and the Prayer for the Holy Spirit ("Come Holy Spirit, by t

Jason Eady

Jason Eady is an American singer and guitarist from Mississippi but now based in Texas. He is affiliated with the Texas country music scene through his evocation of an "old school honky-tonk" style of songwriting. Jason Eady grew up in Jackson and has been influenced by bluegrass, Don Williams and Willie Nelson, he is married to, collaborates with, Texas singer-songwriter Courtney Patton. Eady collaborated with Kevin Welch on his last three albums, AM Country Heaven from 2012, Daylight and Dark from 2014, his self-titled album from 2017. AM Country Heaven debuted at number 40 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and number 9 on the Top Heatseekers chart. Highway Prayer: A Tribute to Adam Carroll, released on Austin-based Eight 30 Records in late 2016, featured Eady's take on Carroll's "Errol's Song." Additionally, Eight 30 Records' Floater: A Tribute to the Tributes to Gary Floater featured Eady's version of "Stand Back Boys I'm Fixing to Care. AllMusic gave Daylight and Dark a 4 star review and said, "In terms of quality, it belongs on a shelf next to Dwight Yoakam's Buenas Noches from a Lonely Room, Joe Ely's Letter to Laredo, yes Willie Nelson's Phases and Stages".

NPR's Ken Tucker contrasted Eady's traditionalism with Jon Pardi and said, "Ultimately, both Pardi and Eady have to confront the dilemma of all young country musicians: how to navigate the pop current that keeps country music commercially viable while connecting to a past that fewer and fewer listeners are aware of." HMS Otter (S15)

HMS Otter was an Oberon-class submarine of the Royal Navy. The Oberon class was a direct follow on of the Porpoise-class, with the same dimensions and external design, but updates to equipment and internal fittings, a higher grade of steel used for fabrication of the pressure hull; as designed for British service, the Oberon-class submarines were 241 feet in length between perpendiculars and 295.2 feet in length overall, with a beam of 26.5 feet, a draught of 18 feet. Displacement was 1,610 tons standard, 2,030 tons full load when surfaced, 2,410 tons full load when submerged. Propulsion machinery consisted of 2 Admiralty Standard Range 16 VMS diesel generators, two 3,000 shaft horsepower electric motors, each driving a 7-foot diameter 3-bladed propeller at up to 400 rpm. Top speed was 17 knots when submerged, 12 knots on the surface. Eight 21-inch diameter torpedo tubes were fitted, with a total payload of 24 torpedoes; the boats were fitted with Type 186 and Type 187 sonars, an I-band surface search radar.

The standard complement was 68: 62 sailors. Otter was laid down by Scotts Shipbuilding and Engineering Company on 14 January 1960, launched on 15 May 1961; the boat was commissioned into the Royal Navy on 20 August 1962. The only Oberon class submarine fitted with a mild steel casing needed when deployed as target for practice torpedo attacks. Otter was paid off on 31 July 1991

Borders of the oceans

The borders of the oceans are the limits of Earth's oceanic waters. The definition and number of oceans can vary depending on the adopted criteria. Though described as several separate oceans, the world's oceanic waters constitute one global, interconnected body of salt water sometimes referred to as the World/Global Ocean; this concept of a continuous body of water with free interchange among its parts is of fundamental importance to oceanography. The major oceanic divisions are defined in part by the continents, various archipelagos, other criteria; the principal divisions are the: Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean, Southern Ocean, Arctic Ocean. Smaller regions of the oceans are called seas, bays and other terms. Geologically, an ocean is an area of oceanic crust covered by water. Oceanic crust is the thin layer of solidified volcanic basalt. Continental crust is less dense. From this perspective, the Earth has three oceans: the World Ocean, the Caspian Sea, the Black Sea; the latter two were formed by the collision of Cimmeria with Laurasia.

The Mediterranean Sea is at times a discrete ocean because tectonic plate movement has broken its connection to the World Ocean through the Strait of Gibraltar. The Black Sea is connected to the Mediterranean through the Bosporus, but the Bosporus is a natural canal cut through continental rock some 7,000 years ago, rather than a piece of oceanic sea floor like the Strait of Gibraltar. Despite their names, some smaller landlocked "seas" are not connected with the World Ocean, such as the Caspian Sea and numerous salt lakes such as the Aral Sea. A complete hierarchy showing which seas belong to which oceans, according to the International Hydrographic Organization, is available at the European Marine Gazetteer website. See the list of seas article for the seas included in each ocean area. Note there are many varying definitions of the world's seas and no single authority; the Arctic Ocean washes upon Northern America and Eurasia. It is sometimes considered a estuary of the Atlantic Ocean; the International Hydrographic Organization defines the limits of the Arctic Ocean as follows:Between Greenland and West Spitzbergen — The Northern limit of Greenland Sea.

Between West Spitzbergen and North East Land — the parallel of lat. 80° N. From Cape Leigh Smith to Cape Kohlsaat — the Northern limit of Barentsz Sea. From Cape Kohlsaat to Cape Molotov — the Northern limit of Kara Sea. From Cape Molotov to the Northern extremity of Kotelni Island — the Northern limit of Laptev Sea. From the Northern extremity of Kotelni Island to the Northern point of Wrangel Island — the Northern limit of East Siberian Sea. From the Northern point of Wrangel Island to Point Barrow — the Northern limit of Chuckchi Sea. From Point Barrow to Cape Land’s End on Prince Patrick Island — the Northern limit of Beaufort Sea, through the Northwest coast of Prince Patrick Island to Cape Leopold M’Clintock, thence to Cape Murray and along the Northwest coast to the extreme Northerly point. Note that these definitions exclude any marginal waterbodies that are separately defined by the IHO, though these are considered to be part of the Arctic Ocean; the CIA defines the limits of the Arctic Ocean differently, as depicted in the map comparing its definition to the IHO's definition.

The Atlantic Ocean separates the Americas from Africa. It may be further subdivided by the equator into southern portions; the 3rd edition in force, of the International Hydrographic Organization's Limits of Oceans and Seas defines the limits of the North Atlantic Ocean as follows:On the West. The Eastern limits of the Caribbean Sea, the Southeastern limits of the Gulf of Mexico from the North coast of Cuba to Key West, the Southwestern limit of the Bay of Fundy and the Southeastern and Northeastern limits of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. On the North; the Southern limit of Davis Strait from the coast of Labrador to Greenland and the Southwestern limit of the Greenland Sea and Norwegian Sea from Greenland to the Shetland Islands. On the East; the Northwestern limit of the North Sea, the Northern and Western limits of the Scottish Seas, the Southern limit of the Irish Sea, the Western limits of the Bristol and English Channels, of the Bay of Biscay and of the Mediterranean Sea. On the South; the equator, from the coast of Brazil to the Southwestern limit of the Gulf of Guinea.

The 3rd edition of the International Hydrographic Organization's Limits of Oceans and Seas defines the limits of the South Atlantic Ocean as follows:On the Southwest. The meridian of Cape Horn, Chile from Tierra del Fuego to the Antarctic Continent. On the West; the limit of the Rio de La Plata. On the North; the Southern limit of the North Atlantic Ocean. On the Northeast; the limit of the Gulf of Guinea. On the Southeast. From Cape Agulhas along the meridian of 20° East to the Antarctic continent. On th
