Hope is a census-designated place (CDP) in Kenai Peninsula Borough in the U.S. state of Alaska. It is 17 miles south from Anchorage. As of the 2010 census the population was 192, up from 137 in 2000.
Hope, a former gold-mining town, is now a popular weekend retreat for Anchorage residents.
