Ivan Šunjić is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for EFL Championship club Birmingham City. He previously played for Lokomotiva and Dinamo Zagreb, and spent the 2022–23 season on loan to Bundesliga club Hertha BSC. Internationally, he was a regular in Croatia's youth teams from under-16 through to under-21 level, and was capped once for the senior team in 2017.

Birmingham City Football Club is a professional football club based in Birmingham, England. Formed in 1875 as Small Heath Alliance, it was renamed Small Heath in 1888, Birmingham in 1905, and Birmingham City in 1943. The club has competed in the EFL Championship, the second tier of English football, since 2011, but will compete in EFL League One in the 2024–25 season, following relegation.
