James Leo Dillion was an American discus thrower who won a bronze medal at the 1952 Summer Olympics. Domestically he won the NCAA title in 1952 and the AAU title in 1952.

The discus throw, also known as disc throw, is a track and field event in which the participant athlete throws an oblate spheroid weight – called a discus – in an attempt to achieve a farther distance
