Jay Chou is a Taiwanese singer and musician. Dubbed the "King of Mandopop" and having sold over 30 million records, Chou is one of the best-selling artists in Taiwan. He is known for his work with lyricist Vincent Fang, with whom he has frequently collaborated on his music.

Jay is the debut studio album by Taiwanese singer Jay Chou. It was released on November 7, 2000, by BMG Taiwan. It was entirely produced and composed by Chou, with lyrics written by Chou alongside his creative partners Vincent Fang and Vivian Hsu. Musically, the record incorporates popular music genres such as pop, hip-hop, R&B, and adult contemporary.
