Kamisama Kazoku is a series of light novels written by Yoshikazu Kuwashima. It is first serialized by Media Factory on June 25, 2003 and concluded in April 25, 2006 with eight volumes; however, a sequel light novel series titled Kamisama Kazoku Z (神様家族Z) was released on January 25, 2008. An anime adaptation by Toei Animation premiered on May 18, 2006 in Japan across the anime satellite television network Animax.

Mai Mizuhashi , better known by her stage name MARiA , is a Japanese singer, songwriter, dancer, costume designer and model from Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. Originally a member of a music group, Mizuhashi found fame posting videos on the Japanese website Niconico. She is part of the pop rock duo Garnidelia.
