Laredo Kid is a Mexican luchador enmascarado, or masked professional wrestler. He is currently signed to both Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide. In TNA, he is the current TNA Digital Media Champion in his first reign.

The 2006 Verano de Escándalo was the tenth annual Verano de Escándalo professional wrestling show promoted by AAA. The show took place on September 17, 2006, in Naucalpan like the previous year's event. The main event featured a six-man "Lucha Libre rules" tag team match between the AAA Loyalist team of Gronda, Octagón, and La Parka and the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) representatives Jeff Jarrett, Abyss, and Konnan.
