Louisville City Football Club is an American professional soccer club based in Louisville, Kentucky. The team plays in the USL Championship, known through the 2018 season as the United Soccer League (USL), which is currently the second tier of the American soccer pyramid.

The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) is a professional women's soccer league at the top of the United States league system. Headquartered in New York City, it is owned by the teams and, until 2020, was under a management contract with the United States Soccer Federation.
At the 2022 NWSL Championship, the league recognized some of the players who had competed in the league for all ten years of its existence.
The NWSL increased the number and quality of cameras used for matches during the 2022 season.
