Mahendra Nath Pandey (born 15 October 1957) is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and has won the Indian general elections, 2014 from the Chandauli (Lok Sabha constituency) and become member of 16th Lok Sabha, The Lower House of Indian Parliament.[2]


He has completed M.A. and PhD in Hindi.[3] He has also studied Master of Journalism from Banaras Hindu University.[4]

  • 1991-1992 & 1996-2002: Member, Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly (Two terms)[5]
  • May, 2014 : Elected to 16th Lok Sabha
  • 1 Sep. 2014 onwards : Member, Standing Committee on Rural Development
  • 3 Dec. 2014 onwards : Member, Business Advisory Committee.[6]
  • 5 July 2016 :Became Minister of States in Modi Cabinet.[7]

Personal life[edit]

Pandey is an agriculturist and likes reading.[3]
