Martha "Mattie" Franklin is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer John Byrne and artist Rafael Kayanan, Mattie Franklin first appeared in The Spectacular Spider-Man #262. She is the niece of the Daily Bugle publisher J. Jonah Jameson. She gained a various superpowers after participating in an arcane ritual. Her admiration for Peter Parker / Spider-Man inspired her to become a superhero when he disappeared. Mattie Franklin is the third character who adopted the Spider-Woman codename.
