McMaster University is a public research university in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The main McMaster campus is on 152.4 hectares of land near the residential neighbourhoods of Ainslie Wood and Westdale
McMaster Hall, located in Toronto, was the original location of the university. The building is currently the headquarters of The Royal Conservatory of Music.
Hamilton Hall was constructed in 1926 in preparation for the university's move to Hamilton.
McMaster's oldest buildings are examples of Collegiate Gothic architecture, with architectural elements such as carved ornamentation, bas-reliefs, recessed arched entryways, and ashlar found throughout these buildings.
