Mirza ghassemi is an Iranian dish from Gilan, appetizer or main course based on tandoori or grilled aubergine, distinct to the Northern Iran and Caspian Sea region.

Lahijan is a city in close proximity to the Caspian Sea within the Central District of Lahijan County, in northwestern Iran's Gilan province. It serves as capital of both the county and the district.
