Mitar Martinović was a Montenegrin vojvoda and divisional general in the Yugoslav Royal Army. He was a short-term Prime Minister of Montenegro from 19 June 1912 to 8 May 1913, being succeeded by Serdar Janko Vukotić.

The role of the prime minister is to direct the work of the government, and to submit to the Parliament the government's program, which includes a list of proposed ministers. The resignation of the prime minister would cause the dissolution of his government.
