Mohan Raja is an Indian film director and screenwriter who primarily works in Tamil and Telugu film industries.
After making his debut in the Telugu film Hanuman Junction (2001), he went on to remake several successful Telugu films into Tamil, beginning with Jayam (2003) which also launched his brother Ravi as a leading actor. Raja then collaborated with Ravi for three consecutive commercially successful films, M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi (2004), Something Something... Unakkum Enakkum (2006) and Santosh Subramaniam (2008), all of which were remakes of successful Telugu films. After a period of mixed success, he returned with his first original script, Thani Oruvan (2015) which went on to become one of the most profitable Tamil films of 2015.

Hanuman Junction is a 2001 Indian Telugu-language action comedy film directed by M. Raja. It stars an ensemble cast featuring Arjun, Jagapathi Babu, Venu, Laya, Sneha and Vijayalakshmi with music composed by Suresh Peters. It is produced by M. V. Lakshmi under the M. L. Movie Arts banner of Editor Mohan. The film, notably Raja's directorial debut, is a remake Malayalam film Thenkasipattanam (2000). Released on 21 December 2001, the film was a successful venture.The film was dubbed and released in Tamil as Singakottai.
