The 2010 Money in the Bank was the inaugural Money in the Bank professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). It was held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. The event took place on Sunday, July 18, 2010, at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The event included two Money in the Bank ladder matches, one for each brand. The eponymous ladder match was previously held at WrestleMania from 2005 to 2010. Following WrestleMania XXVI in March, the match concept was spun off into its own PPV event. The event received 169,000 pay-per-view buys.

Glenn Thomas Jacobs, better known by his ring name Kane, is an American politician and professional wrestler. He has been signed to WWE since 1995 and was inducted into the 2021 class of the WWE Hall of Fame. In 2018, he was elected as the Republican Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee. In 2022, he won a second term as Mayor.
